Israel, God's Chosen People

Was Israel saved because they were God's chosen people?

The reason that I asked this question is because oftentimes when studying the OT we may ask ourselves well how could Israel be so stubborn and stiffnecked.? But when we look at the Jews in the proper context they are no different than you and I before we came to Christ. Or do you think that they are saved because they are God's chosen? What do you think?

Jews are, have been and always will be, saved by faith like all others. Not all Jews are saved. God pointed out He didn't choose the Jews because they were special, better, strong, numerous or more righteous than any others, but because He Himself determined to choose them for His own purposes. Without faith, Jews are destined for Hell just as are all others.

While individual Jews needs salvation like the rest of us, the Jewish nation of Israel will be saved. During the end times, Israel will acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah, and it will be restored as a nation (which has already happened). The "children of Israel" are still God's chosen and will play a major role in the end times.
