Freedom In Merry Old England

While they are typically released fairly soon, there have been people arrested in this country for quoting the Founding Fathers and the Word of God.

Free speech and privacy have been being chipped away here for a long time and we seem to be only a matter of a few years, or some major event that could serve as a catalyst, to being right there with Europe, or even worse.

Notice how the owner of the Clipper's came under national fire for comments he made to his girlfriend in a private conversation that was "leaked" to the press. No matter what one thinks of his comments, they were private comments and shouldn't be a matter of national attention. Commentators on the Right and the Left were all declaring this man shouldn't be allowed to own a basketball team because of his comments.

Free speech, as the Founder's made clear, was most important in regards to unpopular speech and personal opinion speech. What we see happening in America is the steady move towards "free speech" only being for speech that is deemed acceptable.

Already, and for a good many years now, the true history of America and what the Founder's actually said and stood for has not been taught in the public schools.

The media has, for years, been staunch supporters of PC speech and attack dogs of non-PC speech.

Many in America would support efforts to curtail free speech if they thought it wouldn't effect their speech but only those they disagree with.

The only "Free Speech" allowed anymore is that which is approved by Satan through his communistic governments and liberal fellow travelers.

Promoting the killing of babies is free speech.

Picketing abortion clinics with photos is hate speech.

Mayors quoted "kicking whitey" out of Detroit and another wanting his "chocolate city" in New Orleans is free speech.

Christians proclaiming the Gospel and denouncing the world's favorite sins is hate speech.

We live in a world now where good is evil and evil is good.

I know James DOBson is a part of the prOBlem, but he did recently make a statement where he seems to have got at least this right. He pointed out the great sins of America and talked of judgment. He said he not only believes God WILL judge America, but that God has ALREADY begun to judge America.

America has gone from a beacon of freedom to being viewed as a bully and tyrant, both around the world and by many at home.

America has gone from the manufacuring leader of the world to a vast importer fo what we once made ourselves.

America has gone from the largest creditor nation to the largest debtor nation.

America has gone from a land where Christianity was the dominate religion, with a goodly percent of born again Christians and where Christian principles were embraced even throughout most of secular society, to a nation where biblical Christianity is under attack, churches in America condone, accept and promote sin, and Christian principles are specifically rejected in favor of secular humanism.

On this national day of prayer, when many Christians are yoking with Catholics, Mormons, secular christians, political groups and others in quoting the oft cited verse from 2nd Chronicles, one has to look around and ask where is the evidence of Christians humbling themselves before God?

Are Christians humbling themselves before God when they believe yoking with Catholics in prayer is the way to get God to do what they want? Are Christians humbling themselves before God when they tie themselves to the Republican Party (or those who do this with the Dem Party) and pray for Republican (or Dem) success to save America?

There was uproar in news a couple of days a go because a UKIP candidate in the local government elections said "There is no such thing as a benign Muslim."

The same way cops in America will stop one person or group of people for a crime while ignoring others. Selective law enforcement is common.

Look at how the federal DOJ refused to prosecute New Black Panthers who clearly violated election laws by electioneering and intimidation at voting facilities.

You won't find a case of a Muslim ever being arrested for protesting. So that tells me it's legal. And they fear the Muslims too.

Muslims and other "minorities" in America get are allowed to violate certain laws with little chance of being arrested, yet what they are doing is illegal and if a white male, especially a white Christian male, does the same thing they will quickly be arrested.

Homosexuals can hold "gay pride" parades and run around naked, engage in virtual sex in public, and the police do nothing. If there were a "heterosexual pride" parade (if governing authorities would even allow such) and they got naked there would be mass arrests.

In legal jargon certain things are illegal, but the de facto reality is that for certain people or groups, it's not illegal.
