Members LindaR
There is no "universal" Fatherhood of God and Jesus said: John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:John 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. We are not born with grace. Grace is the free unmerited favor of God which He freely bestows on those who are born again. Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Members John81
Indeed, God only becomes a persons Father AFTER they have been born again in Christ.
Members candlelight
Amen Linda and John. ALL people are born as creatures of God. A person needs to be born again, by accepting Jesus Christ personally as their Saviour. After a person chooses Christ, as their Saviour, by His unmerited grace, they become sons and daughters of God/Jesus Christ. Grace is a free gift from Jesus Christ. We are all born with a free will, and God gives us that will to choose to make him Lord of our lives, by our faith in Him.
Members Jeny
Yes, we are not born with Grace, we are born with sins. Grace is God's gift that we have to accept and receive.

Guest
If God is your Father, you do not have to accept the grace of God. You are born with it. I think accept is the wrong word. What book/verse were you reading when you came to this conclusion?
