Members Eric Stahl
That's nice but this passage has nothing to do with saints that are now in heaven although I can see it's application to the tribulation saints in heaven prior to Christ's second coming. Again, there isn't much in the bible concerning CHURCH AGE SAINTS who are now in heaven. Also, don't get me wrong, Psalm 149 can have a spiritual application to us as all scripture does but when you try to make church age doctrine we will fail here. Psalm 149:1-9 1Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. 2Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. ((future after resurrection of Jesus)) 4For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. 5Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. 6Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
Members ASongOfDegrees
Psalm 149:4-9 is describing pre flood saints and Old Testament saints and New Testament saints now and will include tribulation saints. So basically you are saying it includes all saints. The problem with this is the psalm only speaks of Israel.

The people of Israel who accept Jesus will also be saints. The Psalm also speaks of all saints.
