Well "Standing Firm In Christ" and also for "LindaR", let me know when error/false doctrine is found in any of my posts in this thread.  For I definitely do not want to hold to any error, especially as it is in regards to the books of Daniel and Revelation.  Therefore, please read very closely, and if you see something that is error/false doctrine according to the Scriptures, please let me know.  :)  I would be willing to consider your critiques, and as always, please feel free to join in elsewhere also.  :)

 

What of the presented Scriptures so far?  Do you notice anything in error/false doctrine in what is already given?  It would be much appreciated if you would let me know as soon as you find anything.

At least not yet John81, but that is about to change according to the Scriptures, which includes prophecy, history and typology itself.

I do not have to read any of your posts to know that the SDA is a cult.  If you are a member of an SDA church, you are in a cult.  Pretty simple.  I started a thread in 2008 called The False Teachings of Seventh Day Adventism.  It has recently been bumped, so you might want to go look and see what is being posted there.  Here's another site you might want to take a look at:

If one is "allowing" themselves to be taught by someone who is SDA, then that's their choice. At the same time, it's up to each of us as to whether we "allow" ourselves to be taught anything by anyone who posts about anything on this board.

 

To the point of "long posts", I agree, they put forth too much at once. For myself, it's difficult to read long passages online.

 

As to the subject of the thread, it would seem an interesting and informative discussion could be had. This would be especially true if someone from each of the at least half dozen different viewpoints of members here were involved.

The long passages have nothing to do with "in depth" and everything to do with confusion.
The idea is, that with so much 'information' the false bits get lost amongst the true, and when questioned on a false portion, the false teacher simply slides to another issue.

It is a tactic which allows evasion and promotes confusion, and it is dressed up with 'spirituality'.

I have asked this gent several direct and simple questions in a few threads which have all been ignored because there is no room for evasion.

And he has also been into a few threads where he has not 'been invited'.

He won't go to that thread because he doesn't want to answer direct questions about SDA.

Daniel 1

 

And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god. Daniel 1:2

 

Jehoiakim, was once named Eliakim, before PharaohNechoh, the Egyptian King, had changed it:

 

And Pharaohnechoh made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the room of Josiah his father, and turned his name to Jehoiakim, and took Jehoahaz away: and he came to Egypt, and died there. 2 Kings 23:34

 

And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt. 2 Chronicles 36:4

 

and he was the 3rd to the last ruler over Judah, and was 25 years old when he began to reign, reigning only 11 years:

 

Jehoiakim [was] twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Zebudah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah. 2 Kings 23:36

 

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 2 Kings 24:5

 

Jehoiakim [was] twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD his God. 2 Chronicles 36:5

 

and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord:

 

And he did [that which was] evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done. 2 Kings 23:37

 

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and his abominations which he did, and that which was found in him, behold, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead. 2 Chronicles 36:8

 

God then, gave Jehoiakim into the hand of the King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar [iI], as we have already seen:

 

Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon. 2 Chronicles 36:6

 

Nebuchadnezzar also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Babylon, and put them in his temple at Babylon. 2 Chronicles 36:7

 

Considering Daniel 1:2, we should take notice that this text reveals something very important about the judgment itself upon Israel [the peoples]. What did it involve? Transgression of the LORD God's Commandments, and “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4, for all “Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” John 8:34, for “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” Romans 6:16.

 

The text reveals that God allowed only part of the vessels of the house of God” to be “carried into the land of Shinar [babylon] to the house of his god”, and even placed them “into the treasure house of his god”.

 

What very important piece of the Sanctuary/Temple is specifically missing from all of the materials that were then and later taken by Babylon? It is the Ark of God, which contained [Exodus 25:16,21; Deuteronomy 10:2,5] His Holy, Just and Good [Romans 7:12] & Spiritual [Romans 7:14] Law, the Ten Commandments [Exodus 24:38; Deuteronomy 4:13, 10:4].

 

It was foretold, that the Ark of God would not be visited again by them:

 

And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit [it]; neither shall [that] be done any more. Jeremiah 3:16

 

 

In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers. Jeremiah 3:18

 

This is further revealed by the following texts, which demonstrate that which was later brought back out of the Babylonian captivity, by Cyrus the King, none of which ever includes the Ark of God:

 

Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods; Ezra 1:7

 

Even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah. Ezra 1:8

 

And this [is] the number of them: thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, nine and twenty knives, Ezra 1:9

 

Thirty basons of gold, silver basons of a second [sort] four hundred and ten, [and] other vessels a thousand. Ezra 1:10

 

All the vessels of gold and of silver [were] five thousand and four hundred. All [these] did Sheshbazzar bring up with [them of] the captivity that were brought up from Babylon unto Jerusalem. Ezra 1:11

 

...

 

And the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that [was] in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the king take out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered unto [one], whose name [was] Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor; Ezra 5:14

 

And said unto him, Take these vessels, go, carry them into the temple that [is] in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be builded in his place. Ezra 5:15

 

 

And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which [is] at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which [is] at Jerusalem, [every one] to his place, and place [them] in the house of God. Ezra 6:5

 

Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD'S house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you. Jeremiah 27:16

 

Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste? Jeremiah 27:17

 

But if they [be] prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and [in] the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon. Jeremiah 27:18

 

For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city, Jeremiah 27:19

 

Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem; Jeremiah 27:20

 

Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain [in] the house of the LORD, and [in] the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem; Jeremiah 27:21

 

They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place. Jeremiah 27:22

 

The false prophet Hananiah also makes mention of these vessels of the house of the LORD:

 

Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD'S house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon: Jeremiah 28:3

 

The Prophet Jeremiah briefly responds to the false prophet Hananiah:

 

Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD'S house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place. Jeremiah 28:6

 

Also, we may see where more peoples and for more items were also carried off at various times by Babylon, see:

 

Also the pillars of brass that [were] in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that [was] in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon. Jeremiah 52:17

 

The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away. Jeremiah 52:18

 

And the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; [that] which [was] of gold [in] gold, and [that] which [was] of silver [in] silver, took the captain of the guard away. Jeremiah 52:19

 

The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that [were] under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD: the brass of all these vessels was without weight. Jeremiah 52:20

 

And [concerning] the pillars, the height of one pillar [was] eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof [was] four fingers: [it was] hollow. Jeremiah 52:21

 

And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter [was] five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all [of] brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates [were] like unto these. Jeremiah 52:22

 

And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; [and] all the pomegranates upon the network [were] an hundred round about. Jeremiah 52:23

 

 

This [is] the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty: Jeremiah 52:28

 

In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons: Jeremiah 52:29

 

In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons [were] four thousand and six hundred. Jeremiah 52:30

 

To know the exact whereabouts of the earthly Ark of God at this time, is not germane to this present study, but we may know that the earthly Ark is hid with God, still containing the Ten Commandments.

 

This earthly Ark and its contents were but made after the pattern of the True Heavenly ones:

 

According to all that I shew thee, [after] the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make [it]. Exodus 25:9

And look that thou make [them]
after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount. Exodus 25:40

And this work of the candlestick [was of] beaten gold, unto the shAft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, [was] beaten work:
according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick. Numbers 8:4

All [this, said David],
the LORD made me understand in writing by [his] hand upon me, [even] all the works of this pattern. 1 Chronicles 28:19

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at
his own right hand in the heavenly [places], Ephesians 1:20

We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; Hebrews 8:1

A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. Hebrews 8:2

Who serve
unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, [that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. Hebrews 8:5

Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands..." Hebrews 9:11;p

How much more shall the blood of

The "earthly" tabernacle, "the tupos", the type or plan, being "patterned" after the "heavenly":

 

Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen. Acts 7:44


And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was shewed thee in the mount. Exodus 26:30

 

The earthly Tabernacle, and that which went with it, were merely the "patterns of things in the heavens" and says the Holy Scriptures, the Heavenly Sanctuary, the True Tabernacle, "which the Lord pitched and not man", "the heavenly things themselves" are greater:

 

For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, [which are] the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Hebrews 9:24


So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:28

To leave the earthly Ark of God, along with the Holy Law of God therein, in the hands of the uncircumcised of Heart [Deuteronomy 10:16, 30:6; Jeremiah 4:4] would result in terrible disasters upon them. God did not desire that Babylon be yet punished, since He was presently using them as the rod of punishment against His own rebellious peoples, and desired to show Babylon mercy, as He had for Egypt, that they might also repent:

 

Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations. Jeremiah 25:9

 

When the Ark of God was in the hands of such heathen/pagan nations, plagues had come:

And the messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the people, and thy two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken. 1 Samuel 4:17

 

And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years. 1 Samuel 4:18

 

And his daughter in law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, [near] to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her. 1 Samuel 4:19

 

And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard [it]. 1 Samuel 4:20

 

And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband. 1 Samuel 4:21

And she said, The glory is departed from Israel: for the ark of God is taken. 1 Samuel 4:22

 

And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod. 1 Samuel 5:1

 

When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon. 1 Samuel 5:2

 

And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon [was] fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again. 1 Samuel 5:3

 

And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon [was] fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands [were] cut off upon the threshold; only [the stump of] Dagon was left to him. 1 Samuel 5:4

 

Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon's house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day. 1 Samuel 5:5

 

But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, [even] Ashdod and the coasts thereof. 1 Samuel 5:6

 

And when the men of Ashdod saw that [it was] so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god. 1 Samuel 5:7

 

They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about [thither]. 1 Samuel 5:8

 

And it was [so], that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts. 1 Samuel 5:9

 

Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people. 1 Samuel 5:10

 

So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there. 1 Samuel 5:11

 

And the men that died not were smitten with the emerods: and the cry of the city went up to heaven. 1 Samuel 5:12

 

 

And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months. 1 Samuel 6:1

 

And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place. 1 Samuel 6:2

 

And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you. 1 Samuel 6:3

 

Then said they, What [shall be] the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, [according to] the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague [was] on you all, and on your lords. 1 Samuel 6:4

 

Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land. 1 Samuel 6:5

 

Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed? 1 Samuel 6:6

 

Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them: 1 Samuel 6:7

 

And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him [for] a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go. 1 Samuel 6:8

 

And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Bethshemesh, [then] he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that [it is] not his hand [that] smote us: it [was] a chance [that] happened to us. 1 Samuel 6:9

 

And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home: 1 Samuel 6:10

 

And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods. 1 Samuel 6:11

 

And the kine took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, [and] went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside [to] the right hand or [to] the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Bethshemesh. 1 Samuel 6:12

 

And [they of] Bethshemesh [were] reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see [it]. 1 Samuel 6:13

 

And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Bethshemite, and stood there, where [there was] a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD. 1 Samuel 6:14

 

And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that [was] with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put [them] on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD. 1 Samuel 6:15

 

And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen [it], they returned to Ekron the same day. 1 Samuel 6:16

 

And these [are] the golden emerods which the Philistines returned [for] a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one; 1 Samuel 6:17

A few years later, the city of Jerusalem itself, would be razed to the ground by Babylon:

 

The LORD hath accomplished his fury; he hath poured out his fierce anger, and hath kindled a fire in Zion, and it hath devoured the foundations thereof. Lamentations 4:11

 

The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should have entered into the gates of Jerusalem. Lamentations 4:12

 

Israel [the peoples] would be in captivity, 70 years, for their sins, according to the Word of the LORD, for though we know that even though the LORD God is loving and merciful, long-suffering and forgiving; He will by no means clear the guilty:

 

And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. Exodus 34:5

 

And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Exodus 34:6

 

Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth [generation]. Exodus 34:7

 

Thus, there are consequences in choosing to sin, and Israel [the peoples] were to go into captivity 70 years:

 

And this whole land shall be a desolation, [and] an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. Jeremiah 25:11

 

And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, [that] I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations. Jeremiah 25:12

...

For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. Jeremiah 29:10

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Daniel 9:2

Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh [month], even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me? Zechariah 7:5

 

Now, let us take careful notice that the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar [iI] placed all of the captured Temple treasures into the very treasure room of the temple of His own 'god'.

 

By doing this, he sought to show the glory and power of his own 'god' above that of the Hebrews, and God allows this shame to be manifested, so that Israel may see what sin brings – nakedness and shame:

 

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they [were] naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Genesis 3:7

 

And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I [was] naked; and I hid myself. Genesis 3:10

 

And he said, Who told thee that thou [wast] naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? Genesis 3:11

 

 

And when Moses saw that the people [were] naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto [their] shame among their enemies:) Exodus 32:25

 

 

For the LORD brought Judah low because of Ahaz king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore against the LORD. 2 Chronicles 28:19

 

 

So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with [their] buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. Isaiah 20:4

 

 

Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward. Lamentations 1:8

 

 

Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked. Lamentations 4:21

 

 

These discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women; for they had executed judgment upon her. Ezekiel 23:10

 

 

And they shall deal with thee hatefully, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms. Ezekiel 23:29

 

 

Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst. Hosea 2:3

 

 

And [he that is] courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the LORD. Amos 2:16

 

 

Behold, I [am] against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame. Nahum 3:5

 

 

And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about [his] naked [body]; and the young men laid hold on him: Mark 14:51

 

And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked. Mark 15:52

 

 

And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. Acts 19:16

 

 

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: Revelation 3:17

 

 

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed [is] he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. Revelation 16:15

 

 

And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. Revelation 17:16

 

Thus we see that nakedness, reveals our shame and sin, even as Christ Jesus was naked upon the Cross:

 

And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. Matthew 27:35

 

 

And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take. Mark 15:24

 

 

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

 

Jesus being made to be sin for us:

 

For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

 

What lessons are we to learn from these things? Is there a Babylon in the World today? Yes, there is, and we shall come to that in a bit, but consider, that Israel [God's peoples, verily our brothers and sisters in a previous time], were now in captivity of Babylon for their sins and rejection of the counsels, reproof and instruction of God.

 

Today, there are also many captive to Babylon and her daughters. They are captive to her ways, captive to her styles of worship, captive to her modes of excitement, captive to her styles of music, captive to her modes of diet, captive to her ways of pleasure and rioting, etc.

 

Like Israel of old, these also do not want to leave when the time is come to be delivered, for they are too settled in their houses, in their ways, in their lives in Babylon, and will choose to stay in her... but there is a message verily today, even as then:

 

...Come out of her My people...” Revelation 18:4;p

Every source which is not of my own study, work, etc will be cited directly.  Later in study, there will possibly be included historical sources other than the Scriptures.  At this point, only the Scriptural citations are not original with me.  Thank you for asking.  :)
