Moderators Ukulelemike Posted December 31, 2013 Moderators Share Posted December 31, 2013 Let's see: Broke, lost our church building, had goats die, found out I have a blood disorder, (hemochromatosis), truck is still broke down, Obama still in office, but... I'm alive, and saved, going to heaven. Yup, a good year!
Moderators OLD fashioned preacher Posted January 1, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 1, 2014 Typical farmer answer: Pretty good year, now understand it could have been better, but wasn't bad. If you ain't never been or lived amongst farmers -- you only THINK you uderstand and get it.
Members John81
Financially, the worst year we've ever had, yet I praise God we faithfully gave in accord with the Lord's direction even when it meant I lived off of generic hot dogs and ramen noodles for several weeks. Even in the midst of financial difficulties and my wife's knee surgeries and physical therapy, I'm thankful I never missed a day of church this year, never missed a church board meeting, and I was asked if I would be willing to serve another 3 year term on the board. Our marriage is still wonderful, our son still at home is doing well, my Dad is still alive and well, we still have wonderful pastors and church family, Jesus is still King and He'll never leave me nor forsake me. Members Anon
Hasn't been a great year, but it could have been worse. The past two years have been difficult financially, and fairly stressful, but I'm optimistic for the future.
Members Standing Firm In Christ
A true NDE in the month of May. But God brought me through. He has been with me every day of the past year. He was there when I woke, and there when I slept. He gave me clothes to wear and food for my shelves and refrigerator. Yep, the year was good.
