Moderators OLD fashioned preacher Posted November 5, 2013 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2013 Not seeking to buffalo anyone, my beloved actually barely missed a bison. The monstrous mammal was lurking in the lane with my lady's Lincoln. The lights broke upon his bulk in the black night and she barely made the pass barreling at the legal speed of 65. In my native hillbilly tongue: Well, Glorrrrrry to Gawd for his protection!!
Members swathdiver
Praise God for that! Next time pray that said buffalo dies right there of a heart attack and your wife has her skinning and carving knives with her. Buffalo is delicious! They make nice coats, blankets, carpets, powder horns, etc. too!

Members LindaR
When I was on vacation at Mount Rushmore in 1972, we ate at a restauraunt that served buffalo. We ate "buffalo burgers". The meat was lean but had a much "stronger" taste than ground beef. It was pretty good, but not something I would eat on a regular basis.
Members Arbo
The horns could've made a nice hood ornament.
Members swathdiver
How would you describe the taste in comparison with beef? Boy, it's been so long I don't remember, just that it tastes great! It's leaner and cooks faster too.
