Please Pray for families:

Missionary Joel Michel

Joel Michel, BIMI missionary to the Netherlands, went Home to be with the Lord early Tuesday afternoon, August 13, 2013. Joel was killed in a car accident at the Holland/Belgium border when his car was in a collision with a semi-trailer truck. He was alone in the vehicle and died on impact. BIMI is working with FaithWay Baptist Church, Ontario, Canada, to assist in any way we can to help his wife, Collette, and their three young children: Annita, age 4; Timothy, age 2; and Annalise, age 10 months. Collette and the family covet your prayers.

Following are the times for the visitation and funeral of missionary Joel Mark Michel.

Both the visitation and the funeral will be at FaithWay Baptist Church in Ajax, Ontario.

Visitation will be at FaithWay Baptist Church on Monday, Aug. 26, 5:00-9:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be at FaithWay on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 11:00 a.m.

Monetary gifts may be sent to Baptist International Missions, Inc. , P.O. Box 9215, Chattanooga, TN 37412 and designated for Joel or Collette Michel. All gifts will be put into a special expense fund to help Collette and the family.

The Michels were going to help some missionaries in Holland we support. If you'd like an updated prayer list from Collette:

She and the children are back in Ontario. They need a vehicle, and financial help for some odd expenses. Please pray for wisdom and direction for her, and for the children to adjust and feel safe. Also pray that her parent's house will sell, as they are trying to relocate closer to her and the children.

Although our church body was unable, due to financial restrictions, to take on the Michel's for financial support, we did have them present their ministry in our church a number of years ago.  We have been praying for the family since the news of Brother Michel's death came to us through email notification.  I myself was curious as to Sister Michel's plans for the future.  Sister Salyan, I thank you for the information that you have provided thus far concerning this.
