In India, Pig Farming Helps Pastors Support Their Families & Build Their Communities

While traveling around his state in India, Paulus Maharaj* dreamed of a way to help rural pastors take care of their families. After learning about a pig husbandry program at the local veterinary school, Maharaj requested funds from Southern Baptists' Global Hunger Relief (also called the World Hunger Fund) to train pastors to become successful pig farmers. Now neighbors and other communities benefit from the pastors' new trade.
