Its Surprising What Can Be Found Online

Recommended Posts

I was reading a Vietnam War stories  Spiritual War stories & they were talking about tracers bullets. Something I know nothing about, so I did a search seeing what I could find out about them & this came up, Hit Man Online. So I suppose you can find a "How To" about anything online.

Yes, just about everything is online somewhere. From good to evil, one can find it all. What a shame that most people use the internet for nothing more than entertainment or worse, for evil. Thanks be to God for the good that is online and may the Lord guide folks to those websites that present the true Gospel, that glorify God, that are able through the empowering of the Holy Ghost to help the lost come to salvation in Christ and to edify those already born again in Christ.

Its not taken near as many years for the internet to become nearly totally corrupted as it did TV.

Things were already much more publically corrupted when the internet came out than when TV did. Not that corruption didn't abound when TV came out, but most tried to at least hide it back then. These days all sorts of evil is flaunted, paraded and announced as good.

My sister had a computer before I did and she invited me over to check it out. When she did a search to look up a childrens TV program a pop-up for porn appeared!

I don't understand those parents who allow their children to have TVs and internet in their rooms behind closed doors. Then again, some parents allow their children to have drunken parties at their homes and buy them "birth control" thinking that keeps them safe. Unfortunately, it's not just unsaved parents who do this, but some Christian parents do too.

The only difference is you can find good biblical stuff on the internet while on TV you can forget it on the most part.

I believe the days of cable and satellite TV are coming to an end. I see the internet taking that over too. You'll be able to find the programs you want on the internet and set up a package to watch it on TV. They'll be literal thousands (maybe millions) of choices. The good thing is there will be better choices too. Hopefully good bible preaching and teaching programs instead of all the charismatic rubbish on now. They only things stopping this from occurring now are the feds and the cable companies themselves. The technology is already there. They just need to figure out how they can tax and regulate it and make a profit.

Yes, there a little good biblical stuff on the net, yet most of its false teachings.

And most Christian sites are set up to collect money, even local churches sites. We are to give to God though our local church, & we are not suppose to go to the world asking & begging them to support us.

Do any of you remember that back in the day you could download instructions on making pipe bombs and other improvised weapons?

You could download the "Anarchist Cookbook" or "The Poor mans Guide to James Bond".

There was a big stink about it in the news way back when.

When America Online first came out in the early 90's it quickly got the moniker of "Porn Online" because every search result would also have some porn tossed in as well. It was so bad that once you landed on a porn site, there was java scrip that would open new windows faster than you could close them. They would toss a mess of cookies on you and would somehow find their way back to you when you least expected it.

Thankfully it has gotten a little better. With cyber warfare and hackers everywhere, security companies and internet service providers are quickly getting caught up.

The internet will always be loaded with filth, but at least there are a some sites we can still call "clean"........so far.....

Brother, I know of many sites where there is some good preaching and teaching and no money is asked.

Yes, AOL was a mess. You would be online then all of a sudden you'd get an IM from out of nowhere asking for sex. It was crazy. Sites would hijack your homepage and, like you mentioned, the browser would go haywire on you. It was like the Wild West.

Does AOL even exist anymore?

As far as the Anarchist Cookbook you can buy that legally. I've heard that the guy who created the "cookbook" has renounced it.

I was downloading a bunch of do-it-yourself, survivalist kind of informative ebooks, and suddenly discovered I was getting that book too! Also one on how to live for free (included a LOT on various brands of theft). Needless to say, I decided not to download them. Didn't seem right, Biblically or legally.

I know in the past when I worked in corrections I used to get U.S. Cavalry magazine. They must have sold my address to other companies because I started getting a catalog called Delta Press. The catalog had The Turner Diaries, Anarchists Cookbook, How To Build Silencers, how to get revenge on someone and not get caught, how to escape from prison, etc. All legal as long as you read them only for "entertainment purposes".  I called them up and told them to stop sending it to me because I didn't want the FBI monitoring me.

I would not be surprised if they watch people who download that kind of stuff.

I remember hearing about that book years ago, but had never read any part of it. When I happened up on it the other day i read portions of it, & was quite shocked what it said. No doubt in my mind some people would use it to do bad things, it may well encourage them to break the law.

Thanks to GW Bush the government is allowed to spy upon Americans and track what they do for frivilous or no real reasons at all.

Government officials have admitted that since the Patriot Act and all the executive orders Bush signed along these lines went into effect most Americans are being watched in one way or another. Some government officials have even admitted that they not only spy on those specifically give permission to, but also on much of the random public as well.

The government even has rooms full of people paid to watch sites like Facebook, Twitter, blogs, forums and any public site where people gather to share information, chat, discuss and talk.

America used to be home of the free but today we are home of the heavily monitored, regulated and suspected of being guilty of something so we are strip searched and fondled at airports, watched by cameras all over the place, and have internet and other things under monitoring.

The Nazi Gestopo and Soviet Union KGB only wish they could have spied on people as much as is being done in America today.

If the acts of people weren't so rotten monitoring wouldn't be necessary. I don't like invasion of privacy either but I understand why they do it.

I agree, yet our constitution limits our government powers, their authority, & it seems in some matters they're crossing that line, especially when it comes to privacy.

Just because something sounds like a good reason to do something, does not mean they can violate our constitution.

Most of the citizens are not acting rotten. It's a small few who are a threat but because of political correctness and the desire to ever gain more power and control, the government refuses to focus upon the real threats and treat law abiding citizens as criminals. This is a direct violation of the Constitution yet Republicans and Democrats, so-called conservatives and liberals all supported this and voted for it, and most Christians gave their approval as well.

Walk into virtually any police station and the police can tell you who the criminals are, who those that are a threat are, what areas a person should avoid because of certain people and equally they can point out who are not criminals or threats and what areas are safe. The problem is, the laws, rules and regulations have been so manipulated and the justice system so corrupted, that the criminals and threats can't be rightly targetted and dealt with, nor are most properly punished when arrested and convicted.

I don't believe this. I think the government would monitor no matter how people were. Remember, the government is made up of "rotten" people too.

Hmmm I do see your point we have some monitoring in our country no doubt, I do think there is a lot more  cause for concern these days than in the days of when our constitution was written. Who would have thought in the early 1900's when our constitution was written that a terrorist attack was possible never mind probable.

I don't tend to get worked up over such issues because I believe that God has all of this hand, it is of no supprise to him and most likely is forfilling his purposes. I don't intentionally do anything wrong  that would cause my government to act against me and therefore am not concerned about the invasion of privacy. However I do understand and agree that this will be a stepping stone for more and more invasions on our rights as citizens. But that is just more of proving the bible right and another indicator of my Saviour's return. It's all about perspective.

Same here, quit doing business with them and never Delta Press!  Why buy those books when you get them from the Army anyways?

I agree mostly, but where this is going, we, those who follow Christ, fundamental Christians, those against abortion, those against sodomite marriages, are on the front burner for losing their rights.

Please remember, the only good thing about a human is actually the human that's been saved & has Christ within them, & the majority of people in this world at any one time are lost, & have nothing good in them.

Ge 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Ps 53:2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
Ps 53:3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Ps 53:4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

And that the lost thinks that every person is basically good, & will chose to do good over doing evil.

Absolutely true!

I was only pointing out that when it comes to these matters most citizens aren't involved in things like terrorism and such things so they don't need to be spied upon. No doubt they are sinful, yet most sinful citizens in America don't commit horrific crimes.

The 92 year old grandma doesn't need to be strip searched, our wives and daughters shouldn't be fondled, and our every move shouldn't be under watch as if we are known criminals ready to pull another job.
