Nc Democratic Governor Rips Her Own State For Gay Marriage Ban: ‘We Look Like Mississippi’

Like most politicians, especially the more liberal ones, they believe the people are uneducated and incapable of making right decisions. They think it's their job to force liberal-socialism upon the masses "for their own good".

It also grows tiring hearing the great State of Mississippi attacked and denigrated time and again.

She didn't run for re-election this year. She saw the handwriting on the wall in terms of her chances to be voted back in for a second time. Her true colors are coming to light, since she's not playing the get elected game anymore.

BTW, the great state of Mississippi got a round of applause this morning in our Sunday School class.

Looks like its shaping up to be a target rich environment for republicans.

"North Carolina is slated to host the Democratic National Convention this fall."

In the old days they simply said "The people have spoken". And now, after following Obama's lead, they think they can yell at their people for voting in a way they disapprove of. Sad.

Progressives are quite shrill in their approach - especially if they are disagreed with. There are 30 states that have banned gay marriage. And Dems from some of those states are running from what BO has said re: gay marriage. I emphatically hope that those 30 states turn from him in November...

It will not be that long before this lady will be on the side of the majority. Yet, at this time, those that take that stand are in the minority.

By the way, I have much more respect for the person that stands for what they believe, that they're for, even if they standing with the minority. I have no respect for those that only takes a stand when what they believe, their for, is in the majority. I do not care to be around such people, they will stick you in the back, slander you behind your back. Cowards.

That is one thing I hate about politics, many of those in offices are constantly taking polls, & decide what they stand for, by what the majority of their voters are for.

Question. If the Supreme Court ever rules in favor of same sex marriage, I'm assuming all these Constitutional Amendments will be overturned?

The Supreme Court ruling will make the State amendments and laws of no effect. The Constitution and Bill of Rights are no longer regarded.

Years ago states sold their rights to the federal government. Yes, sold them simply by taking money from the feds for xyz use in their state. Taking money with the stipulation that xyz must be done in accordance with fed regs. A good example is the education system. Take federal money and run the school system according to the dictates of the feds. ie no prayer or mention of God in the classroom.

Bit by bit, project by project, states threw away their rights by feeding at the federal trough.

This is one of the reasons so-called conservatives get things so wrong. What is there left to conserve? It's already been abolished, overrun, overruled and trampled to pieces. As Jefferson said, it will take revolution to keep things on track. The Republican Party and Democratic Party are both heading in the same direction, just at slightly different speeds and slightly different routes.

Funny that the only presidential candidate who promised to make the hard decisions, to actually work for real restoration of the Republic, was denounced by the vast majority who claim to want this. Meanwhile, the so-called conservatives gave their support to candidates who only promised more of the same, or withheld their support until the choice was made for them and now they are stuck with Romney.

True. And it can change accordingly to those on the court. But with that said, ever since America was founded, its been a race towards ungodliness. Of course we have picked up speed in the last several years.

Plus, laws will not change man, if they would have, God's law would have been a success, He handed down much better laws that our country invented. The majority has always rebelled against God, & it will stay that way according to our Bible.

Yet, we know the ending, & they can know it to, only if they would chose to believe.

I would say it this way, years ago the federal government bribed, blackmailed, the states.

Federal government is the enemy of states rights, & always has been.
