Members jchahl
I want to learn a good web development language. I've been looking around on the internet for good ones to learn, but everyone says something different. I'm kinda leaning toward PHP and MySQL. I have basic knowledge of C++, Java, and HTML. Is PHP a good route to go? I want to learn something useful and not overly complex.
Administrators Pastor Matt Posted April 18, 2012 Administrators Share Posted April 18, 2012 php is the way to go. It is very popular and the majority of large web-software is programmed in php. Do you plan on learning yourself, or do you plan on taking classes?
Members jchahl
Probably myself. Which goes to my next question. Do you have any suggestions on places to find info/tutorials/books etc.?
Administrators Pastor Matt Posted April 19, 2012 Administrators Share Posted April 19, 2012 W3 Schools & php is a good place to start online, but I have found that the best tools were books that I purchased at book stores. The books I have are out dated now, but you want at least to learn php5. php6 is not too far off though.
