Baptism of Sikh convert

BJ was introduced to our fellowship group a few weeks ago as a new convert. He had been seeking peace in his religion for some time, but met a Nigerian who told him, "Not religion, but faith in Jesus" & prayed with & for him. Within 3 days he knew the peace only to be found in Jesus.

I've rarely met one so eager for fellowship & so enthusiastic about Bible teaching.

He will return to the Punjab on Feb. 28th. His uncle is a Christian & he has links to Christians we know in India but his family have told him they don't want him now he is a Christian.

Our study last Friday was on baptism (by John & of Jesus) & its implications as seen in Romans 6 & Colossians 3. His baptism was this morning, when he gave a clear testimony. Youngsters from our group were there - who are not converted.

Col. 3:
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Set your affection on things above, n
on things on the earth.

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
