The Sacrifice of Praise

Hebrews 13:15-16
15 By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.

16 But to do good and communicate (share) forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

God has given mankind free will so that we can give Him Glory and thanks and praise of our own free will. He says doing good works and sharing is important but the priority seems to be on the fruit of our lips and fellowship with God.

What is your opinion?

Sacrifice (worship) of praise (Commendation bestowed on a person for his personal virtues or worthy actions) should be fueled "by Him" (Jesus Christ). The fruit (outcome or result) is speaking thanksgiving to Him.

When we fully realize what Jesus has done for us - we can't stop talking about it!

What do you think about those school children that claims they’re Tebowing?

It seems they’re walking down the hallway with many other students, suddenly taking a knee as Tebow does on the football field.

Are they more in touch with Tebow than Christ?

One thing many fail to consider is that Tebow isn't doing these things for show, but because that's who he is in Christ. Tebow doesn't just take a knee for others to see or to try and make a statement, he does so at specific times for specific reasons.

Those getting caught up in the whole idea of "Tebowing" seem more interested in claiming the spotlight, making a show and associating themselves more with Tebow than with Christ.

If one is led by the Spirit to drop down and pray they should certainly do so anywhere and anytime the Holy Ghost leads them to, but to simply do so for show isn't the right motive.

But in a crowed hallway between classes with everyone trying to get to class on time?

There is a time for all things, yet there is the other side, such as in a crowded hallway between classes. Next thing you will hear is them doing this on a crowded sidewalk & or crossing a street.

I don't know their heart, but their time and location would suggest they are like the Pharisee wanting to be seen in public.

According to the last news report I heard on this these students had been doing this all week. They had been warned several times to stop blocking the hallway and refused. It was only after this they were disciplined.

I wonder, those that go to so much trouble, as these boys, & or others, to be seen in public, to be seen of man, do they pray in private, do they pray with the sick, the grieving, the lost, do they ever attend one of Jesus' churches to worship & learn more of the Master, & to support our Masters mission, & to let us consider one another to provoke unto love & to good works?

Are do they just wear this public cloak? Are they just a burning ember burning on their own, separated from the Master gaining glory for self?

I say that for there seems to be so man that have no use whatsoever for the churches that Jesus started while everything they do has no association to one of His churches nor under the leadership of one of the Mashers churches.

From the reports, it seems rather clear much of this is nothing more than seeking public attention. How serious prayer can one have while blocking a crowded hallway with people talking loud, yelling for you to move and trying to get around you? Were they sincere in their desire to pray together for the glory of God, better if they quietly did so at a table together during dinner or duing a break, or before or after school.

Public prayer should not be done to attract attention to oneself.
