Police: Officers Shoot Woman Who Stabbed Child to Death

I wonder, could they mot have gone up to her & stopped this, did they really have to shoot her, did they have clear enough of a shot not to endanger the baby. Maybe that was the best choice.

A bad situation. The police probably feared that if they tried to rush her she would kill the child and if she was stabbing the child while they were there it's probable they couldn't have sneaked up on her.

It's a shame the woman had to be killed, but she put herself in that position for some reason.

Yeah it is a bad and sad situation. If the mother wasn't already stabbing her daughter, I think they could have taken other measures. Since she was in the act of already stabbing her though, I think they police were trying to protect the daughter from anymore harm. I think they did the best they could in the situation they were in if all the details in the story are correct.
