Members ThePilgrim
“You must know that the world has grown old, and does not remain in its former vigour. It bears witness to its own decline. The rainfall and the sun’s warmth are both diminishing; the metals are nearly exhausted; the husbandman is failing in the fields, the sailor on the seas, the soldier in the camp, honesty in the market, justice in the courts, concord in friendships, skill in the arts, discipline in morals. This is the sentence passed upon the world, that everything which has a beginning should perish, that things which have reached maturity should grow old, the strong weak, the great small, and after weakness and shrinkage should come dissolution.“~~~~Cyprian 250 A.D. watching Rome diminish. Members John81
Yes, it's the natural order of things. Why should America be any different than any other empire in history? All empires begin small and fiesty. They grow strong, expand, dominate, become spoiled and rot from within, overextend and alienate others, restort to outsourcing for wealth and power, then they crumble and fall. Members Invicta
Are empires more powerful that those in the past? In 2 Chron 14:9, Zerah the Ethiopian fielded an army of 1,000,000 against Asa's 580,000. Xerxes took an army of 2.000.000 against Greece, only about 30,000 of Xerxes’ army returned. Yet today's empires, with all their technology, have a struggle raising and army a fraction of that size.
Members John81
America barely managed to field enough troops to deal with two backward Middle East countries. Too much reliance on technology, which is exceedingly expensive, especially to a nation that is trillions of dollars in debt.
Members JerryNumbers
Its just a matter of time. Sad thing is most Americans believe that America can overcome anything. That is only true if God is on our side & I see no reason for Him to be on our side anymore, yet I see a few reasons why He should bring judgment upon our country if this world is going to stand very much longer. The previous administration took great pains to increase the size of our infantry forces which the current administration has all but depleted now. Government education has turned many children into radicals and not patriots, children hostile to the armed forces. Fewer are willing to serve knowing that their decisions on the battlefield could wind them up in court, fewer still will be willing to serve alongside sodomites. Its just a matter of time.
