Franklin Graham: Trump May Be My Candidate

I'm surprised many times at candidates that Christians will support, especially pastors, preachers, evangelist, missionaries. Many times they will support the candidates that seems to be the most ungodly.

That does not make Bible sense. I think Mr. Trump would make a pretty good president, probably better than most of those that ran for the republican nomination last time.

And how does thinking The Donald will make a pretty good president make Bible sense? You were against John McCain because he was divorced and remarried, and his second wife was the heiress to a beer fortune. Trump has been divorced twice and married three times, and has spread his casinos all over this country - casinos filled with booze and gambling.

And now he has been recorded using the f-bomb when answering questions...so much better than the language of 2008's candidates, eh? Not.

I'm personally not for any candidate for president. Americas politics is a dirty rotten business, and it is the affairs of this life, 2 Timothy 2:4, and my citizenship is in heaven, Philippians 3:20. Just look at where all of our past politicians have got us. I just can't bring myself to vote for evil, nor the best of two evils, and or the best of even 3 evils. He does stand against most everything that y'all do not like about Mr. Obama.

My calling is not of this world, and the job I'm called to do is not of this world, Matthew 28:18-20. God has plainly told us what will happen to this world. We are to be about the job God has given us, winning souls to Christ, if you help someone get a change of heart by accepting Jesus as Savior, you've done something worthwhile, even building up heavenly treasures.

That said, I do read the news, to keep up with what's taking place. And at this point Mr. Trump might just be the best one for the job, running a secular America. No matter who you get, he is going to run a secular country.

What I would love is to have a president that would stand up and say, "America, we must get on our knees and confess our sins to God, turn from our evil ways of homosexuality, abortions and such. Them turn back to God and walk in all of His paths. And use his platform to proclaim there is one way to be saved, by grace thru faith. But such a man would never get elected, and if he did, and he took such a stand, the majority of America would be calling for his death.

It amazes me that trump gets any conservative support at all given that his record shows that he has no real established conservative political beliefs and has endorsed and given money to many different liberal democrats at various times. Not exactly a man of principles. More like a complete opportunist that will say or do anything he feels will help him out at the moment. Fortunately I don't think he is likable enough to win an election. Like it or not, a smooth presentation, talking points, and likability matter just as much or more in winning a US presidential election than actual positions on issues. If issues and principles really mattered most the public wouldn't do so much flip flopping between democrats and republicans every couple of years. That happens because a sizable percentage of the public has few deeply held positions or beliefs of their own and thus are easily swayed by every smooth talker with a likable personality that comes along criticizing those in power. First they are swayed one way, then a few years later they are swayed the other. Obviously not everyone is so easily swayed, but enough of the public is and presidential elections are generally close enough that who wins and who loses is often decided based on who is thought to be more personally likable. Unfortunate, but the inevitable result when people don't have firm beliefs of their own.

He may fall flat on his face if he announces a run, yet many are taking to him at present. Politics is so unpredictable. And a person can be in the lead and make the wrong stumble at the wrong moment causing them to lose.

Who knows, Mr. Obama may charm enough people the 2nd time around.

We now have a President that wants to make us a Europeon humanistic socialist country and then we have someone who wants to take us into the gutter, if America doesn't wake up and repent of our sins and turn Back to the God of Heaven and Earth, well we aint seen nothing yet.

God have mercy on us and guide us back to You, 1Peter 4:17 "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?"

Sorry, America is already in the gutter, has been for several years now. And the whole world has already been judged by God, and found guilty. Plus the sentence has already been announced. It, and everything on it shall be destroyed by fire.

Yes, Mr. Trump owns gambling joints, Seems there is not much he will not do, yet the same thing can be said for most all politicians, if it were not for used car salesmen, the politician would be the least trusted person in American.

Politicians has taken us from a great nation under God to a nations that is in the process of kicking God out, even legalizing many sins, plus they have built this nation on money, not God, and now we stand neck deep in debt ready to fall. At one time I feel God liked the direction the United States was headed and was blessing us, yet now I feel He detest this country and will bring chastisement upon it instead of blessings. One more thing, our politicians cannot run this country, yet they are trying to rule many other countries.
