Members Invicta
I have been searching for my memory stick which contains many of my backup files including our church accounts. Today, my wife found it in the bottom of our washing machine. It must have been in one of my shirt pockets. I put it into my PC, still dripping with water, and suprisingly, it was working and I could recover all my files. Well done Kingston, for a reliable product. Members MatthewDiscipleOfGod
I have had el cheapo thumb drives work fine after the wash. As Jerry said any electronics should be dried out first before using. Most the the time shorting out is what breaks the device.
Members Bro Jim
Yep, dry them off first. I jut learned Friday that you re to eject you flash/thumb drives (or any added drive) before you remove them, seems you can corrupt them or damage your data if you don't. Yes there should be an icon on the bottom right to safely remove any USB hardware. It is not always there, though. If it is there and you have more than one USB device, it should ask you which one you want to remove, You should close down any files that are acessing the device, first, of course.
