Merry Christmas

Recommended Posts

Great day, had daughter and both grandsons here for breakfast and Christmas, now its nearly history.

So glad you had a wonderful Christmas. Yes, this Christmas is gone. Perhaps our Lord will come before the next Christmas. That is something we can all hope for!

"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." (Titus 2:13-14)

Blessed to be with family and our church!

Should be interesting next year when Christmas is on a Sunday. How many will be faithful to attend church that day and how many will choose instead to spend their Christmas morning opening presents and making sure they have their Christmas dinner on time?

My wife and I have already talked about this. We will attend church, open presents after church, have a simple dinner and have our traditional Christmas meal for supper.

BAH.....HUMBUG

That's not exactly what I said to my granddaughter as we left for prayer service yesterday evening. I had mentioned that I had become too heavy over winter. She said, "Papaw, you would make a good Santa Claus." I said, sweetie you know Papaw worships Jesus and celebrates his birth at Christmas. She said, "I know and I know you would never be a Santa Claus but, you are one of Jesus' friends." I said, "Thank you, sweetie."

That reminds me of when my oldest son was still young and someone said something about gifts from Santa and he told them that all gifts come from Jesus. He was referring to where Scripture says all good things come from God.

Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Merry Christmas everyone!

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
Luke 2:1-16 (KJV)

On that night in the Judean sky the mystic star dispensed its light, a blind man moved in peaceful sleep and dreamed that he had sight.
A lonesome leaper seldom seen had a vision he was clean. When he awoke in morning’s light, he had friends well in sight.

On that night in the manger stall, slept child and mother cheek by jaw; a harlot dreamed she was safe and secure because a chosen one had made her pure.

Against the black bosomed night diamonds spangled the sky while angels announced the birth of a King.

As the light flickered against the walls, the shadow of the cross carved from the beams in the stable loomed over him and he remained under that shadow all his life.

From His loom He can fashion the fleece to curtain the couch of the dying and give dignity and peace. I won’t forsake you!

Upon the looms of Heaven He weaves the delicate tapestry of the rainbow to glisten against the rolling clouds reflected by the silver lines He laced on the green meadows. The lovely lily's He tacked on the lush green carpet against a backdrop of purple mountains piercing the turquoise sky where set afire by a blazing sun to coat a blue planet with universal light. How can anyone put limits on Him - The Just One.

There wasn't room for him in the inn - but on January 5, 1972 I made room for him in my heart.

Except one becomes a child; so simple but yet difficult to put you life in someone else's hands. Suffer the little children to come to me and forbid them not!

I feel so small and inadequate sometimes and ashamed that I haven't done more in life. There are some things that can’t be taken away. One must have a vision!

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
James 5:13 (KJV)

And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
Rev 11:10 (KJV)

There is a time and place for everything........... My house shall be a house of prayer and place of worship. Sure the wise men brought gifts to a King. This is a time to honor Jesus and be thankful to Him.

In USA the sales are way into the billions of dollars due to BLACK FRIDAY............... So few worship Jesus. Even the secular world realize they bow to the neon god they made. Santa is cunning and sneaky; hard telling how many have lost their children by recognizing such and loosing the or a blessing of God.

Beloved of God be prayerful in all things. Enjoy your family and worship the Christ Child Jesus with honor and dignity. May God bless each of you richly. May the Lord come quickly. It would be such a blessing for Jesus to come today.

Lastly: Christ Mass................ is Mass celebration ............ Christ Birth celebration would honor Jesus.

But at Yule Tide Season ------ (Occult holiday)......... you get a free pass or do you? Are you under the Mosaic law.....no. Under God's laws.... yes!

It is OK to set up a statue of Jesus,,,,,,,,, and Mary and Joesph........... The Catholics do........................ And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me
Ex 20:1-5 (KJV)

Think twice about such and the plastic god santa. What's inside isn't hidden either............. Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
Jer 10:2-5 (KJV)

Why should Christians be excused and ignorant?

Are we as Christians to keep the Sabbath --- YES for every day is a Sabbath day for the Children of God for we have enter into Jesus' rest and there is no more work for the Children of God........for His work have given us rest....... We are to pray - every day... We are to follow Jesus - every day. All days are special days for us to give thanks to the true and living God as He is coming for us Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world
Heb 4:1-3 (KJV)

Hey; I have devout Christian friends that are pre-mil........... and probably will have a tree and give give gifts at DEC 25. I love them and my Bro in Jesus will call me and we talk and discuss everything.............. He and I will say to one another............. I love you brother. We have no falling outs are bad or hard words - ever.

I love them as Christians and have respect for them. I am to stand before Jesus and give account for every word --------- I honestly believe my scriptural understand is correct and I can stand before God unashamed in these thing --- I should know more; but, I don't I should have done more; but, I haven't. I know Jesus and He knows me; glory.

Just all need to be totally honest and take one's own wants out of the picture --- What would Jesus have you do... It is between you and Jesus. Pray; He will answer.

Christmas is an invented word by Catholics for the Mass of Christ.................. Their Mass is from Latin and the word Hosta is victim ............... they take the victim, in this case Christ and kill him.......... then transubstantiation of his blood to wine and his flesh to a wafer............ in this ritual they kill Christ afresh daily for the forgiveness of sin.

This was Lucifer mocks Jesus and his atoning work. Why do Christian have trouble? Taking on the traditions of man and accepting idolatry as OK. These things have no place in a Christian family or the place of worship.............

I am in a minority here with respect to this subject it seems. Come out from among them and honor the true and living God. The ritual of Mass is the killing of Jesus. Christmas is the celebration of Jesus' death.............. not His birth. DEC 25 is for the pagan christ Tammuz as is his divine tree.............

I see the banning process is already started on me. So, this may be my last post:

The Pagan Origin Of Easter

The holiday often involves a church service at sunrise, a feast which includes an "Easter Ham", decorated eggs and stories about rabbits.
Those who love truth learn to ask questions, and many questions must be asked regarding the holiday of Easter.
Is it truly the day when Jesus arose from the dead? Where did all of the strange customs come from, which have nothing to do with the resurrection of our Saviour?
The purpose of this tract is to help answer those questions, and to help those who seek truth to draw their own conclusions.
The first thing we must understand is that professing Christians were not the only ones who celebrated a festival called "Easter."
"Ishtar", which is pronounced "Easter" was a day that commemorated the resurrection of one of their gods that they called "Tammuz", who was believed to be the only begotten son of the moon-goddess and the sun-god.
In those ancient times, there was a man named Nimrod, who was the grandson of one of Noah's son named Ham.
Ham had a son named Cush who married a woman named Semiramis.Cush and Semiramis then had a son named him "Nimrod."
After the death of his father, Nimrod married his own mother and became a powerful King.
The Bible tells of of this man, Nimrod, in Genesis 10:8-10 as follows: "And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar."
Nimrod became a god-man to the people and Semiramis, his wife and mother, became the powerful Queen of ancient Babylon.
Nimrod was eventually killed by an enemy, and his body was cut in pieces and sent to various parts of his kingdom.
Semiramis had all of the parts gathered, except for one part that could not be found.
That missing part was his reproductive organ. Semiramis claimed that Nimrod could not come back to life without it and told the people of Babylon that Nimrod had ascended to the sun and was now to be called "Baal", the sun god.
Queen Semiramis also proclaimed that Baal would be present on earth in the form of a flame, whether candle or lamp, when used in worship.
Semiramis was creating a mystery religion, and with the help of Satan, she set herself up as a goddess.
Semiramis claimed that she was immaculately conceived.
She taught that the moon was a goddess that went through a 28 day cycle and ovulated when full.
She further claimed that she came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River.
This was to have happened at the time of the first full moon after the spring equinox.
Semiramis became known as "Ishtar" which is pronounced "Easter", and her moon egg became known as "Ishtar's" egg."
Ishtar soon became pregnant and claimed that it was the rays of the sun-god Baal that caused her to conceive.
The son that she brought forth was named Tammuz.
Tammuz was noted to be especially fond of rabbits, and they became sacred in the ancient religion, because Tammuz was believed to be the son of the sun-god, Baal. Tammuz, like his supposed father, became a hunter.
The day came when Tammuz was killed by a wild pig.
Queen Ishtar told the people that Tammuz was now ascended to his father, Baal, and that the two of them would be with the worshippers in the sacred candle or lamp flame as Father, Son and Spirit.
Ishtar, who was now worshipped as the "Mother of God and Queen of Heaven", continued to build her mystery religion.
The queen told the worshippers that when Tammuz was killed by the wild pig, some of his blood fell on the stump of an evergreen tree, and the stump grew into a full new tree overnight. This made the evergreen tree sacred by the blood of Tammuz.
She also proclaimed a forty day period of time of sorrow each year prior to the anniversary of the death of Tammuz.
During this time, no meat was to be eaten.
Worshippers were to meditate upon the sacred mysteries of Baal and Tammuz, and to make the sign of the "T" in front of their hearts as they worshipped.
They also ate sacred cakes with the marking of a "T" or cross on the top.
Every year, on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, a celebration was made.
It was Ishtar's Sunday and was celebrated with rabbits and eggs.
Ishtar also proclaimed that because Tammuz was killed by a pig, that a pig must be eaten on that Sunday.
By now, the readers of this tract should have made the connection that paganism has infiltrated the contemporary "Christian" churches, and further study indicates that this paganism came in by way of the Roman Catholic System.
The truth is that Easter has nothing whatsoever to do with the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We also know that Easter can be as much as three weeks away from the Passover, because the pagan holiday is always set as the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.
Some have wondered why the word "Easter" is in the the King James Bible.
It is because Acts, chapter 12, tells us that it was the evil King Herod, who was planning to celebrate Easter, and not the Christians.
The true Passover and pagan Easter sometimes coincide, but in some years, they are a great distance apart.
So much more could be said, and we have much more information for you, if you are a seeker of the truth.
We know that the Bible tells us in John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
The truth is that the forty days of Lent, eggs, rabbits, hot cross buns and the Easter ham have everything to do with the ancient pagan religion of Mystery Babylon. These are all antichrist activities!
Satan is a master deceiver, and has filled the lives of well-meaning, professing Christians with idolatry.
These things bring the wrath of God upon children of disobedience, who try to make pagan customs of Baal worship Christian.
You must answer for your activities and for what you teach your children.
These customs of Easter honor Baal, who is also Satan, and is still worshipped as the "Rising Sun" and his house is the "House of the Rising Sun."
How many churches have "sunrise services" on Ishtar's day and face the rising sun in the East?
How many will use colored eggs and rabbit stories, as they did in ancient Babylon.
These things are no joke, any more than Judgement day is a joke.
I pray to God that this tract will cause you to search for more truth.
We will be glad to help you by providing more information and by praying for you.
These are the last days, and it is time to repent, come out and be separate.
David J. Meyer

  • Easter is a day that is honered by nearly all of contemporary Christianity and is used to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I for one have not "disliked"anyones posts, or reported anyone.
However, your tone at times is combative abrasive, and sometimes aggressive.
If you do get banned, it is because of these things.
Maybe you should reconsider your methods?
Sin should be pointed out when it is present, but the Bible does require us to do so in a spirit of meekness.
And yes, that can be done forcefully at times, but always with meekness.

I get misquoted and called names and out right lies are told.......... It is upsetting to see this taking place...... I'll admit that I'm up most of the night with a stuffy nose and had with my ears ringing like a train passing.

I've had no issue with you; only discussion. I've been on Catholic forums for weeks expounding the gospel and sparing no words telling them that their sodomite priest are Satanic and performing rituals like the Eucharist as it is their only means of forgiving sin and it is nothing but a satanic ritual............ And they of course tell me how ignorant I am........... I get worse attacks here from James.

Bottom line ---------- there is no way to take the 70th week of Daniel away from the sealed prophecy. Many have only been taught that stuff and accepted it without much notice or study.

There's a double standard....... I'm warned about being off topic when clearly many others are off topic and not a word.

Came the word of God out from you? No; there is no private interpretation. Scripture must verify scripture.......... not made to fit a belief system.

I have wished to insult no one, nor be rude ............. But, I have not been extended those same courtesies. There is not room for lying or bashing. I've come on very strong at times in defense. When someone lies and misquote and intentionally is trying to push buttons rather engage in a meaningful dialogue....... I may not be as stupid as some think.

The doctrine of the Laodicean church is prevalent today among all Ecumenical churches. JN DArby brought it in via a Jesuit Trojan horse and now it is wide spread. I'm sorry; but, the moving of the 70th week and changing the prophecy about the Messiah Jesus and making it about Lucifer is just plain wrong. Search the matter out through scripture and pray seeking God's face on the matter. I do not want anyone to follow me ----- follow Jesus. Get rid of idolatry in your house and God's house of prayer. Teach your children the way of Jesus; and avoid the ways of the heathen. Get the "men's traditions" out and God's way in...... Jesus is the way. The ten commandents are valid and to be followed........... albeit we are not under the mosaic law............ Just as Jesus stooped and wrote in the dirt, "where's the man -- He knew they had changed the law to exclude the man"...... We are not under those laws of corrupted man. No one can even name them. All days are Sabbath days as we have entered into His rest and we are to pray everyday, worship everyday........ Our Lord is the Lord of the harvest and we can eat an ear of corn along the way or heal the sick........... there is a terrible sickness and folks are dying lack of the word of God to spring into everlasting life...... folks are dying without knowing Jesus. Like Corrie Ten Boom said..... the teaching of the 7 yr tirb is doing humanity a great disservice as well as hurting Christians. That doctrine has cause folks to say and think that the Lord won't come until sometime in the future when the temple is built. You may not want to admit it but it is true.

Please; follow God's word and get the Catholic / Babylonian Christ dishonoring of the Christ Mass (the killing of Jesus) out of your children's life. We are not to follow the traditions of men.

I'm off my soapbox now with tears in my eyes. I've enjoyed many here and have the utmost respect for John 81? althoug he has cleaned my plow a few times when I needed it as others have done too - Fixation for example...... Correct; I'm not perfect and won't be in this flesh........... I am praying for Jesus to return today.

So, I guess I'll bid you good-bye and may God bless. Amen.

Banning some one from a forum is not a process, its an action that can take place in the twinkling of an eye because that person violating the rules of a forum they have agreed to. By joining a forum on the internet you are agreeing to abide by the rules the owner has adopted.

On a forum on the internet one does not have freedom of speech, to be a member of a forum is a privileged, and the owner can set up what ever rules he wishes & when a member violates such rules the owner can quickly ban that person. In fact the owner does not have to give a reason for banning a person.

I have found that most people who use such phrases as, "I may get banned for this," "I'm going to get banned for this," "they are in the process of banning me," are actually tempting the owner or moderators to ban them, challenging their authority, knowing that they're posting something they should not.

Why not just show the owner respect & not post one thing that you feel that the owner would not want posted on his or her forum?
