Members Bro Jim
I earlier had ask for prayer as we were taking my daughter Elizabeth to the doc for her eyes. As it turns out he said she has iritis which is an inflammation in the of the eye and could cause blindness. Seems it can be brought on by early juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. We have started a high dose regime of steroids in her eye (left) and a heavy duty dilator that if put in the wrong eye will dilate it for 2 weeks. Back to the doc Thursday morning. Thank you for your prayers. Edited December 22, 2010 by Bro Jim

Thank you for your prayers. When our daughter (now 30 years old) was a youth she too was diagnosed with Iritis, and went through the same treatment. She followed the doctor's orders and things worked out fine. She will occasionally start to get a bit back and goes to the doctor and they take care of it together. She does just fine and lives a perfectly normal life (five kids and all). I will pray for your daughter and fully expect a positive outcome. Members 1Timothy115
I just prayed Jim. It's sometimes difficult to claim God's grace sufficient when it's our children. Keep praying.
Members Bro Jim
My wife and daughter have returned from the doctor where the test results for her (my daughter) blood work results have come back with negative results for any blood problems to cause her Iritis. PRAISE GOD. She still has inflammation and they have change the prescription to a stronger med. Pray our insurance will cover it also, the stuff cost $120.00 for 5ml. Members Bro Jim
We just got home from the doctors office. We were there at 3:00 this afternoon, he doctor is a specialist in pediatric rheumatologist, they have determined to put her on methotrexate. We had to learn how to give her the shots a home, this stuff is going to cause some major life style changes for us, she will become more sensitive to illnesses, flu, colds, etc. she may have to take this med for 2 years or more. Please pray for her and us, last night at church she dedicated to use her voice for the Lord.
Members John81
A very tough thing to have to face and go through. Thanks to Romans 8:28 we have the assurance that this will all work out for good and I'm so thankful to God for that verse which has helped sustain us through some tough times. Such a blessing that your daughter is thinking of spirtual matters rather than being totally absorbed by the physical difficulties at this time. We know that when we give ourselves to the Lord He will use our offering for His glory and honour. Something to look forward to in how the Lord will use your daughters voice. Praying for your daughter and family as our only sure help comes from our faithful Lord... :icon_pray:
Members irishman
I prayed just this morning for your daughter. I have glaucoma, which is nothing compared to her problem, but I understand the expensive eye-drop problem too. Keep trusting in the Lord, even when it gets tough, and He will see you through.
