1,611 reasons why we love the KJV 1611

I love the 1769 because... I cannot submit to memory the newer EVs. It's too much like casual conversation which, lends to discard or minimalize a great percentage when someone is speaking. We have to remember this is God speaking to us and answering questions we have so, casual, discard, or minimalism are not options.

I love the 1769 because... The KJB makes me pause and think about the meaning also; in many cases I look up meaning. It causes me to meditate on God's Word and I know that pleases Him. (2 Timothy 3:15).

I love it because... 1769 KJV fits me and I believe God is honored that I have it settled.

I love it because it contains the Johannine Comma.

Well, not really. Well, I guess I do. Well, it's not like I pick up my Bible and say, "Wow, I suuuuure do love my Bible because it contains the Johannine Comma! Yesssir!" But I'm thankful that it's there, it's very important to support the doctine of the Trinity.

Psalm 103:1-5 was such a powerful, uplifting and helpful portion of Scripture during a most trying time of my life and has been so edifying since that time as well...as rendered in the KJB! I looked at those verses in a couple other "versions" and there was no power, help or comfort there at all. Thanks be to God for the KJB!!!

Psalm 103:1-5 (King James Version)

1Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
