DEATH of a loved one?

Oh the aching heart bereaved,
That which tears the heart asunder;
Be assured my weeping friend,
God knows the burden you’re under.

You see, He too has lost a Child,

His only begotten Son,
Rather, that is, He gave Him up;
Whate’er befalls your weary heart,
He too has drank from that cup.

Yes, God knows your grief.

Take heart and trust His grace,
Try to see the master’s plans,
But even if it is not clear,
Put it all in His hands.

God feels your pain.

He was tempted as we are,
Yet completely without sin;
As He eyes us from afar,
He knows the shape we’re in.

God knows your grief.

His grace is sufficient,
His love complete;
He is omniscient,
His mercy replete.

God knows your need.
