Anyone need children's Bible stories? They teach character and Christ. Take a look.

Ephesians 6 (Parents please read the entire chapter with them.)

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (v. 11)

Did you ever see a picture of a soldier with all the stuff he wears? It looks awfully heavy, but he wears it because it helps him to do what he is supposed to do. Some of it is to keep him safe, and some of it is to fight against his enemies, but it is all there because he needs it. The Bible is like that for us, some of it is to protect us, and some of it is for chasing away the enemy, except that the Bible is not as hard to carry as all that stuff is for the soldier. The soldiers used to wear a suit that was made of metal, and it was hard to move in it, but it kept them safe from the arrows and rocks and things that other people threw at them. That suit was called “armor” and that is sort of what the Bible is to us, a suit of armor. When we use the Bible, and hide it in our hearts by learning it, and memorizing it, then it protects us just like the armor did for the soldiers. God wants us to be safe, so He is telling us to put the armor on, in other words, keep the Bible in your heart wherever you go, and in whatever you do. That is the only way we can be safe against the boogeyman. God can protect us even from way up in Heaven, because He is a powerful and strong God. He doesn’t come down here and beat up the boogeyman, not in person, but He makes the mean man go away because of His Word in us. That means that when we quote the Bible, sin and evil will flee away, and we will be safe. Sometimes it takes more than just one time quoting the Bible, even Jesus had to do it three times when the devil came to tempt Him, but it will work if we keep quoting it and we will be ok.

God compares the Bible to a sword, and a sword was what they used long time ago to fight with. It was the best weapon they had back then, and the Bible is the best weapon we have today. Did you ever see a sword? It looks like a very long knife, and is very sharp. It is not something that you would not want to play with, but it is pretty handy when trouble comes your way. That is the same with the Bible. It can sort of cut into the heart (not really, but just sort of) and make strong people weak, or bad people decide to be good. It can chase away the evil from them, and then they become your friends sometimes. That is why we need to always learn to quote the Bible, and go to church to learn about God and the Bible, and even read it whenever we can. If we read it a lot, we will be able to quote it when the devil tries to get us, and it will protect us from his tricks. He is a very tricky guy, and can sneak around and get us to do bad things even before we can realize it. That is why we need the “armor” or the Bible to protect us.
