Members John81
US troops won't go after migrants Wed, 26 May 2010 23:45:31 GMT On Tuesday, US President Barack OBama authorized the deployment of up to 1,200 additional troops to border areas to fight the drug cartels, but State Department spokesman Philip Crowley told reporters, "It's not about immigration." Crowley also said that the troops will stem the flow of guns and drugs across the borders. The clarification came after the Mexican government urged Washington not to use the additional troops to go after illegal immigrants. Nearly 13 million Mexican nationals live in the United States and more than half of them are undocumented. Drug violence has claimed the lives of nearly 23,000 people in Mexico over the past three years. http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=127902§ionid=3510203
Administrators HappyChristian Posted May 27, 2010 Administrators Share Posted May 27, 2010 BO is playing both sides of the fence. He's trying to appease the people who are in favor of the AZ law (like me!) by sending troops....and yet, that is only window dressing. I have felt since day one tht he is trying to provoke a war on our soil - he's used racial taunts and slurs, economic divide, the AZ law (trying to turn it into a racial issue...notice he never said it was unconstitutional: because he knows it's not!), and now this. It's just my opinion, but there is a reason for all of the divisiveness coming from the White House.
Members John81
As soon as BO announced he would send 1200 troops to the border I told others that he wasn't sending them there to stop illegal immigration. As you say LuAnne, it's all window dressing. BO is attempting to make himself look like he's doing his jOB in controlling the border while her pursues the full opening of the border and his liberal brethren understand this. Some type of war on our soil, especially racial war (or war he could call racial) would serve BO's liberal-socialist agenda. Crisis situations is where dictators arise, it's where policies and actions that otherwise could not be employed are suddenly accepted, it gives those in power the opportunity force their will while restricting their opposition in the name of security.
