This Is My Life.

I wrote this earlier in the day. I kind of like it because it's real - quite real. Hope you enjoy:

Another day...a day of pain and of hurt.
Another hour...an hour of no eternal worth.
Another second...a second deprived of joy.
Another week...a week full of the devil’s ploys.

(Chorus)
This is my life; this, this is my life.
Dear Father, when will You come to me?
This is my life; this, this is my life.
Almighty Jehovah, when will you set me free?

Pain...it consumes me, tears me, fills me.
Darkness...it surrounds, covers me; I cannot see.
Anguish...all I feel, it's true relief I need.
Failing...that is all that I do meet.

(Chorus)
This is my life; this, this is my life.
Dear Father, when will You come to me?
This is my life; this, this is my life.
Almighty Jehovah, when will you set me free?

I am so tired; no strength is in me!
Father, when, oh when, will You I see?
I constantly fail, I cannot succeed;
Lord Jesus, it's Your touch I need!

Lost...(lost lost lost)...Hurt...(hurt hurt hurt)...Need...(need need need)...Want...(want want want)...Alone...(alone alone alone)...So...(so so so)...much...(much much much)...

It seems that there is no hope,
And, though I try, I cannot cope.
I am in a valley; a deep ravine.
Lord Jesus, it's You I need to see!

Maybe you're in the valley, there just like me,
Maybe it's the Savior you also long to see.
Hold on, my friend; hold on like me,
Together, the Savior, we will see.

Don't give up, and just hold on tight,
Just press on and fight the good fight.
Keep doing good; keep doing right.
Some day soon, we will see the Light!

(Chorus)
This is my life; this, this is my life.
Dear Father, when will You come to me?
This is my life; this, this is my life.
Almighty Jehovah, when will you set me free?

I wake up the next morning, everything's the same,
It seems to be the beginning of another sick game.
But I know that He is coming; God will soon be here
And He will wipe away every tear.

I do not know when, and I do not know how,
But I do know that my God will not let me drown.
I will hold on, and I will press towards the mark,
Soon, very soon, Lord Jesus will clear away the dark!

(Chorus)
This is my life; this, this is my life.
Dear Father, when will You come to me?
This is my life; this, this is my life.
Almighty Jehovah, when will you set me free?

(Romans 8:28) - "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

This verse would be read at the end as the music continues.
God bless,
Joel.
