Members Jerry
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 is referring to sins that hinder someone coming to the Lord for salvation (ie. all saved will inherit the kingdom of heaven, so something hindering a person from that would indicate that the person was not saved). I believe a true Christian can fall into sin, and even become in bondage to it if they harden their heart and walk in that sin long enough - though if a person is truly saved, the Holy Spirit will make them miserable, but convicting them of that sin, and bringing various degrees of chastisement. If a true Christian can have an ongoing battle with lust and pornography (which is an addiction), they can have a battle with drug or alcohol addiction - but again, they will be miserable in their sin, will not have peace of mind or joy, and will hinder the work of God in and through them while in their addiction. Members Jerry
In regards to the devotional above, this verse came to mind as I read it: Proverbs 21:4 An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin. You are so right - everything man does when he lives in rebellion against the Lord is sin.
