Members Psalms18_28
I was reading this: http://www.ffruits.org/firstfruits02/fivecrowns.html Thoughts?
Members Jerry
Just a quick glance at that article. They are off on at least one major point: The fifth crown mentioned in 1 Peter 5 is for pastors, not for all believers. Also, the Bible nowhere teaches a hierarchy of crowns - or that only those believers who earn all five are in some special category, greater than other Christians. Members Covenanter
I think he has build a lot on a dubious foundation. He's started with a thought, & developed it, quoting a lot of Scripture. Are all the crowns in fact different? Or are there many aspects of our future glory & position revealed in Scripture? After all: 1Pe 2:9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
