Bryan Samms recently transitioned his church from the KJV to a modern version. While he has every right to do that, he seems like he was secretive to his church, and also his reasoning just doesn't make a lick of sense. If you have time, take a look.

perfect that which is lacking in your faith? 11 Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. 12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: 13 To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints. The prayer(s) of the messengers (apostles) sent by the Creator, prayers for the ekklesia in the assembly(-ies), were revealing. 1) The Creator's Purpose. 2) The Creator's Plan. 3) The Apostle's heart. 4) The Status or the …

Greetings all, Hope you have all been well. It's been a very long time, i think, since my last visit, you understand, it's not easy to reach this space where i reside. i'm lucky to be here today, the Lord has given me access to say hi and ask you a question. Since i became a Christian in my heart, i say so because i have yet to be baptised in a church, but i have not been able to find a Baptist church near me where i could go and what's more i cannot pay my 10% share of income, not i earn much, i don't, but still. Can you guys kindly help me what to do, please? i'm also not sure if i can donate to an online church, again, living where i live,…

Alright, what are your church themes for 2024. Last year for us it was "Bring the Book" from Neh 8:1 And all the people gathered themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded to Israel. This year for us it will be "I Shall Not Be Moved": from Ps 62-5-8 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

Agree or disagree with the following: "Nondenominational" refers to religious organizations or congregations that do not align themselves with any particular established denomination or sect within a religion. However, despite not affiliating with a specific denomination, nondenominational groups can still be considered a denomination themselves, albeit with some nuances. Here's why: Distinct Identity: Nondenominational churches or religious groups often have their own distinct identity, beliefs, practices, and organizational structures. While they may not adhere to the specific doctrines of a particular denomination, they still form a cohesive group…

Are there more independent Baptist churches now, or less. Are we shrinking in numbers? The modern church seem to be still growing conservative. I have no prof of this, or numbers to provide this facts. The true Church and Hymnal’s are in trouble. It sure looks like it to me, hopefully I am wrong.

In the past few weeks there's been a lot of discussion amongst many of my friends and acquaintances about church attendance and how often is required. There are several who attend church very often, but not every service, who have been confronted by several other of our friends and their fellow church members because they don't always attend church every time the doors are open. They live Godly, Christian lives, tithe, witness, and have won many souls to the Lord over the years, yet, because they don't live up to someone else's expectations and beliefs on church attendance, are being equated with backslidden Christians, and even have been compared to the unsaved. There ar…

Baptist loves to eat and I am one of them, I love going to church and the fellowship with the brothers and sisters in Christ, but sometimes, I believe the church is going a little too far with these buffets and dinners after church. I know we get our spiritual food first and then our physical food second. But we must remember that the church is a place of fellowship, worship and praise, to hear the gospel being preached, and to bring our ties and offering. The church is a place that must be respected add taken care of. Anything else we bring into the church could, believe me or not can hurt the church. what do you think about these churches, they have buffets and lunches …

Here in NZ the English Baptist Union is the predominant form of Baptist in NZ. They are mostly Pentecostal and are little different to other mainline denominations like Methodists and Anglicans that have gone charismatic. Independent Baptist churches here most people don't know much about. What is your experience of Baptist Union churches?

I believe this is a conflict of interest, leaving a window for the pastor, to do what he wishes. Do the Baptist churches have any bylaws forbidden this practice. The wife of the pastor, being the secretary of the or his church? Thanks, TGL ⛪️

I visited a church that was once run by white American Baptist members, a Baptist church for many years. The original membership have all gone, and they donated the small church to a Spanish mission that was using the building part time. I remember seeing American names on the end of pews that said in memory of, these people that donated money to buy the pews never realize that their church will no longer be there after so many years. But the mission continues, new preacher, new members, the Word continue also the gospel. No longer a Baptist church, but a Penecostal now. So the next time you say this is my church think about it.

Can someone please explain to me, a Baptist Church has a pastor, he has a assistant pastor, deacons, and the committee, chosen members. When this group gathers together to make a decision for the church to present it to the members. Why is it that they, the leaders are making the decisions, before presenting it to the members of the church. Presenting it to the members for the first time and asking for a vote on the issue, when the decision is already made from up Top. it’s like me asking everyone what kind of pizza would they like to eat, everybody put their input, but at the end I said, thank you I already ordered pepperoni pizzas. Why ask for a vote in the first p…

Good morning everyone. I havent been here in ages but I try to check in once in a while. I am writing today with a church issue that I must being before the deacons about our new pastor. It hurts and breaks my heart to do so, but I am only asking this seeking godly council from this of you who are pastors and deacons in your respected churches. In the past 12 months our church has suffers a major split, severl hurt families, teens, anger and to the point that our church family in some aspects no longer trusts or respects fellow members of our church. We are not a small church, but we are not huge. We were running close to 300 before our new pastor…

Churches should have fellowship with its members. With all members, the faithful members, and with those that are not so faithful. My experience through the years, I notice as members and groups in our local churches, these groups seem to stay closer together, in the church and out of church. They are friendly to new members, but seems to keep a distance. I’m not saying this is evil. It just seems that it happens everywhere I go In the English or Spanish churches. It’s a type of favoritism like what happens at the workplace. The pastor cannot really do anything about this. Take Care ?

Although this has been a long time coming there is a certain congregation on the Anderson University campus that tends to see themselves as more "intelligent" or "enlightened" than the rest of the congregations. While all affiliated churches are seen as autonomous there are still certain restrictions to what individual Pastors can teach and regulations for performing a wedding ceremony. The main overseer of the ChoG is called the General Director and there is a assembly of others who help him lead in many different areas. All these leaders are voted in by the members from congregations all over the world. Recently several members of the church I referred …

I posted the following in another post. but thought, perhaps, it might make for an interesting discussion on its own. "As I have been reading through the old posts herein, (this was in the Cloud Vs. Chappell topic) it gets me thinking: Even Lighthouse in San Diego, my old alma mater, as it were, has begun to allow some small amount of altered CCM into their music, an issue that greatly saddens me. I don't know how much, but I have heard it. And it gets me thinking, often the pastor himself takes a stand against such, but as a church grows into a massive size, the pastor cannot possibly be hands-on in every area as he ought to be, and has to entrust certain things to …

Remembering how Church attendance increase during 911.The war in Israel is doing something similar. I believe people are returning back to church that’s good. Hopefully they listen to the preaching of the gospel for salvation, before they cool off again. Today is the day of salvation.?
