Our spiritual predecessors vehemently defended Bible-based beliefs that turned out to be biblically wrong. Could it be that we are not doctrinally perfect in ours? Very often, we don't see the need for change because we find security in our church’s traditional views, especially if they’re ancient. But history has shown that God’s people have had to repent of their supposed biblically sound views. Even the ancient ones. These changes didn't always come quickly or easily because beliefs are deep-set into our biblical worldview. Peter struggled with the idea of being told, in a vision, to eat biblically unclean food. He even went so far as to resist God, saying, “Not s…

As the end times are getting much closer, is it really necessary to give all the tithe to the church. I know that there are bills to be paid, in the church. But when there is so much need around us, is it a sin to give a brother in need part of your tithe. I don't think Jesus, would get mad for you helping someone in need. Am I lost christian, by doing this? Some churches have shown down completely with this COVID, on there out reach ministry's. Tithe and offerings not being put to work. P.S Don't tell your pastor, he might get mad.

In a local Baptist church, who is supposed to get paid $$$ besides the pastor. If you ask 100 people, should the pastor get paid if he’s serving full time, I believe most Baptist Christians will say yes, he should get paid for working full-time. Now other parts of the ministry, who should get paid, for example, the secretary, accountant, Deacons, ushers, music ministry leader, and team, childcare, teachers, maintenance team. Who is worthy of receiving the tithings.

When and how did the Roman Catholic Church actually begin? Google doesn't help since it keeps saying it began with Peter. Been studying about Baptist history and wondering when the persecution switched from the Jews to the Catholics

“In 1998, the Southern Baptist Convention . . . passed, what they called, a Resolution On Moral Character Of Public Officials. If it had been followed, Trump would have been kept out of office in 2016 and evangelicals would have distanced themselves from him in 2020.”1 The resolution outlines biblical standards of character that many expect Christians would insist of public leaders, yet, more than 80% of white evangelicals voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020. The Southern Baptist Convention’s Resolution On Moral Character Of Public Officials reads as follows: WHEREAS, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people” (Proverbs 14:34 NAS); …

Can someone please explain to me, a Baptist Church has a pastor, he has a assistant pastor, deacons, and the committee, chosen members. When this group gathers together to make a decision for the church to present it to the members. Why is it that they, the leaders are making the decisions, before presenting it to the members of the church. Presenting it to the members for the first time and asking for a vote on the issue, when the decision is already made from up Top. it’s like me asking everyone what kind of pizza would they like to eat, everybody put their input, but at the end I said, thank you I already ordered pepperoni pizzas. Why ask for a vote in the first p…

I have never agreed with the Baptist church that removes 10 percent from their employee's salary. I do support the local church and their employees should tithe, if they want to do so. This is just my opinion, you can tell this is being done, for they (employees) never put anything in the offering plate, when it passed by. ?

I'll be posting different clips that I come across here. This is not to make fun of people, but rather bring to light that we MUST stick to scripture when preaching. At #1 is Larry brown talking about his wifes feet. The added helium effect makes it creepier. lol

How many members need to get sick or die before a church will close? I am not picking on one church, but all churches. This is a big problem, churches are letting their guards down. They were taking safety in the beginning but got tired. Many are not even using mask. Even keeping secret to the members those that are infected, no panic, no isolation period. Be safe, my brother and sisters in Christ. Sometimes money gets into the way, this should not be.

The point of this topic is NOT to criticize those attending or not attending in person services, but rather to see where our culture is currently at. How are you currently attending church services?

Baptist loves to eat and I am one of them, I love going to church and the fellowship with the brothers and sisters in Christ, but sometimes, I believe the church is going a little too far with these buffets and dinners after church. I know we get our spiritual food first and then our physical food second. But we must remember that the church is a place of fellowship, worship and praise, to hear the gospel being preached, and to bring our ties and offering. The church is a place that must be respected add taken care of. Anything else we bring into the church could, believe me or not can hurt the church. what do you think about these churches, they have buffets and lunches …

Some Christians were raised Baptist, and never experience attending a Catholic, Pentecostal, or charismatic church, I have. The charismatics and Penecostal‘s are very similar in the services, they pray more than Baptist and their services are much longer than the Baptist, the praise and worship music, is much more longer than the Baptist service. They put the Holy Spirit, to work much harder, than the Baptist. They also fast more than the Baptist church. After salvation they practice works, much harder than the Baptist church do, and they feel if they’re not working they’re not worthy to be bless. I notice that the Catholic Church, once the members are in the temple or bu…

Bryan Samms recently transitioned his church from the KJV to a modern version. While he has every right to do that, he seems like he was secretive to his church, and also his reasoning just doesn't make a lick of sense. If you have time, take a look.

I remember when the talks were always about the Catholics, and all the leaders sexual hidden activities. Now the Southern Baptist Church is getting a taste of it. https://www.npr.org/2022/08/13/1117362904/southern-baptists-doj-investigation-sexual-abuse Sinners are sinners, and will get caught. What we do in the darkness will come out into the light.

As time go by modern churches, Baptist churches, or others are changing the look of their buildings. We are no longer having the peak roofs, with the cross at its highest point. The new modern look are more efficient and hold more people. Are you ready to receive the modern and new look Church ? Here is one I found online just for example. Berean Baptist Church

Agree or disagree with the following: "Nondenominational" refers to religious organizations or congregations that do not align themselves with any particular established denomination or sect within a religion. However, despite not affiliating with a specific denomination, nondenominational groups can still be considered a denomination themselves, albeit with some nuances. Here's why: Distinct Identity: Nondenominational churches or religious groups often have their own distinct identity, beliefs, practices, and organizational structures. While they may not adhere to the specific doctrines of a particular denomination, they still form a cohesive group…

Some churches have dropped having Sunday evening services, have yours, just checking. I believe, once your church drop having Wednesdays, and Sunday night evening services, it will be very hard to bring it back.

I'm getting some ideas for putting together visitor packets and gift bags for our church guests. What are some things that your church has and what are somethings you may think is a good idea to have in a visitor gift bag?

We started our church 5 years ago and have yet to add any deacons. We will add deacon(s) when/if we see the need to. Some visitors to our church do not understand how we operate without having deacon as they come from churches where the deacons control everything in the church. If you have deacons in your church what is there role. I know what the Biblical role is, I'm curious as to how much authority your deacons have.
