...only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 2Thess.2:7b I took this verse of scripture out of context on purpose in order to examine it, and to get a better understand who this verse is speaking of. The entire chapter seems to be focused mainly on events surrounding the anti-Christ: But this verse seems to be speaking of someone else altogether. "he who now letteth" doesn't seem to be the anti-Christ at all, but someone entirely different, because the next verse says "then shall that wicked be revealed" My conclusion in v.7 is that the one "who now letteth" is perhaps the Spirit of God, but I can't be absolute of that conclusion, I am only…

Matthew 18:7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! It's just amazing how prophecy is fulfilled and is coming to pass. I realize that much of "professing Christianity" is apostate. Many Christians whether truly born again or not ignore the negative parts of scripture. It's one thing to be saved but another to be right with the Lord. It's difficult to find good teaching of the word these days, and for new Christians I know it must be overwhelming to those who are diligently seeking him. Sin is everywhere and its deceptive and distracting. It's one thing to be doctrinally right, b…

Okay, this is always a fun discussion, though on an Independent Fundamental Baptist Forum it may be that everyone here already gets it, lol. But let's see. To just get it started, the primary objective is to discuss the timing of the Rapture, so my proposal is that according to Prophecy, it is impossible for the Rapture to take place at the end of the Tribulation. Any objections? God bless.

Revelation 20:11-15 11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second deat…

Contrary to the falsehood being spread, the pre-tribulation rapture doctrine was not "cooked-up" by Darby in 1830. The early church fathers followed the Apostle Paul's teaching. When Christianity was adopted as the State Religion, such ideas were dismissed as they conflicted with the absolute authority of the Roman Emperor and were considered to be the cause of "discord" among the citizens of the Roman Empire, so Amillennialsim and "spiritualization" of Scripture were "cooked-up" for the Catholic Church and then adopted by the Protestant "Reformers". Papias (60-130) Clement of Rome (90-100) The Sherpherd of Hermas (96-150) Ignatius of Antioch (98-117) Ba…

Ezekiel 40:42 And the four tables were of hewn stone for the burnt offering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and an half broad, and one cubit high: whereupon also they laid the instruments wherewith they slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice. Ezekiel 44:11 Yet they shall be ministers [Levitical priests] in my sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them. Ezekiel 46:24 Then said he unto me, These are the places of them that boil, where the ministers [priests] of the house [temple] sh…

America In The Bible 1 2 3 4 5

Why I wrote “America’s Last Warning” Jeremiah 20:8-9 8 For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily. 9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. Many say America is not in the bible, but I say we are their in the darkness from Revelation 16:10 10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, when the sun s…

I see fulfillment of God's word appears as if it is picking up speed. The Muslims and the Anglicans, what next! 2 Thessalonians 2:4 . Who will believe the obvious...not those rioting "protestors" in the streets of the U.S. they already believe blatant lies. So, for those of us who wondered how that would come about...if this isn't the answer then, it may be one of the answers for 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12. We were studying "end times" after prayers this evening. We wondered if Pres. Trump would be the one to broker the deal to give the Temple Mount back to Israel. I voted for Trump but, I long to see my Savior most of all. So what do you think about the possi…

“Commandments of God” This phrase only appears three times in the Authorized King James Version. The first time this phrase is used it was Apostle Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians. “Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.”- 1Corinthians 7:19. How can Paul say keeping the commandments of God and not include circumcision? Let's do a little background work. Jehovah told Abraham to start the tradition of circumcision in Genesis 17, “And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.” Later in the Law Jehovah told Moses it was one…

Rewards & Gifts 1 2 3 4 7

Rewards and Gifts. Hello All Ro 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If the Christian is going to be freely given all things then how can he then be given more for a reward? I have heard a preacher whom I greatly respect suggest that Christians who squander their life will be saved but eternally sorry. Does anyone see a seeming contradiction in verses such as these?

John 9:4 I must worke the workes of him that sent me, while it is day: the night commeth when no man can worke. 1611 King James Version John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. Authorized King James Version When is the night when no man can work? We know during the last tribulation the 144,000 are working for Jesus, and the 2 witnesses are working for Jesus. Even when Jesus was dead he was working on saving the old testament saints.

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. Revelation 11:3 Malachi 4:4-5 Mentions Moses and Elijah: Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

This may seem a very strange question... and it pertains to unborn babies still in the womb at the rapture. And I would like to PLEASE set a few parameters for responses, if I may: Cuuld I please receive responses from those who: 1. Believe in a pre-trib rapture 2. Believe babies and children under the age of accountability go to heaven 3. Believe life begins at conception 4. Believe that Matthew 24:19 pertains to those in the tribulation (Israel, who are fleeing) and occurs AFTER they see the abomination of desecration by the antichrist in the temple (in the Holy of Holies). Note: Mat. 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken o…

Tomorrow, the UN will have a special (high level only) meeting to try to push the "palesinian" agenda far over the edge. They are meeting for the supposed "Paris Agreement" (the climate change nonsense). And on the coat-tails of this outrageous agreement, The UN intends to FORCEFULLY divide Israel. They intend to attempt to FORCE a treaty upon Israel to give all of Jerusalem, the Golan, and Judea/Samaria (falsely called the "west bank") to the so-called "palestinians". I read the qualifications for signing this "special" treaty. only Heads of State, Heads of Government and Ministers for Foreign Affairs are able to sign. The House of Representatives sent …

Four Blood Moons on God’s Feast Days We have had the third lunar eclipse on Passover. The next one will be a super blood moon over Jerusalem on the Feast of tabernacles in September. This is called a tetrad. The last tetrad happened in 1967 & 1968 after the 6 day war in Israel when they took the city of Jerusalem and the temple mount back. The tetrad before that was in 1949 &1950 when Israel became a nation and was attacked by all the Arab neighbors. Over the last 2000 years the tetrads have come at important times in Israel’s history. So what do you think will happen this time?

Note: In surveys such as this, all Baptists are placed in the "Protestant" category. Large Number of Pastors Don't Believe in the Rapture End-time theology is wavering in the Christian church and a large number of Protestant pastors believe there is no rapture. Whether pre-tribulation or post rapture, a new study by LifeWay research reveals that pinning down details of the apocalypse among a group of pastors is hard to do. Although the Scriptures make it clear that Jesus is coming back, researchers found varying views on three aspects of end-time theology: the rapture, the Antichrist and the millennial kingdom. Out of the 1,000 senior Prot…

I've noticed AFR, along with many others, are following what seems like a growing trend of moving away from the pre-trib rapture position. Aspects of this were discussed in another thread some time back but I'm now hearing on AFR that we should consider the pre-trib rapture position might not be right. They don't actually say when Christians will be called up to Christ but rather simply state that we should consider Christians may be here for at least part of the great tribulation. I've read some who believe this trend is the natural result of so many adopting a Dominionist viewpoint. Having been so busy of late I've not been able to confirm or refute that claim. …

I was born again in 1981 and I came to Christ after seeing the movie "Thief in the Night" at an Assembly of God church my girlfriend at the time talked me into attending. As most know, that film is based upon the pre-trib rapture view. That church held to that view and every Sunday night service was focused upon end-times matters. So most of my early born again learning on the matter was from books and sermons from the 1970s and early 80s. Everything I heard at the time indicated the Anti-Christ would not be known until after the Rapture. Over the past couple of years I'm hearing more and more that Christians will be here when the Anti-Christ takes the world stage and we …

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Isaiah 60:1-3 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; …
