John 6:37-40 says, "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven , not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which He hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and i will raise Him up at the last day." Jesus Christ is the One who guaranteed all true believers eternal salvation and to raise them up at the rapture of the church when He return…

I have a friend judging whether or not I am saved to begin with Does this person have that right? or is that only meant for God? My friend seems to think they do am I right to be frustrated about it? the last question I have is How can they know for sure unless they actually can see my heart and the only person that can do that is God. Am I right?

When I participate in internet forums I always present my beliefs in absolute terms. I generally see religious issues as black and white and seldom ever gray. I have no qualms about telling someone that they are wrong on matters of religion when I have reason to believe that they are wrong. For this I am usually criticized mercilessly. What I want to know is, can you insist that your faith is right if you are unwilling to say other faiths (or variations on your own faith) are wrong? If you are unwilling to say others are wrong when they don?t accept your faith, can you have any faith at all?

I have studied a little bit on spiritual oppression and possession. Can you tell me what these verses mean? And how would someone appear today if they were oppressed or possessed? Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Mat 12:29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. Mark 5:1-20, Luke 8 Matt. 8:28-34

Before going to the church we interviewed the pastor. One of the last questions we had was "What are the terms and conditions necessary to membership?". His reply included Baptism. Cool by me, but i was Baptized in 1984 and my wife in the early 2000s. Now don't misunderstand me. I don't mind being Re-Baptized. The Pastor who Baptized me was of the Christian Non-Denominational faith, I was 9 at the time (although did realize the gravity of my decision) and the pastor went on commit adultery (not that i believe that his adultery had any bearing on my Salvation). My wife on the other hand was baptized in a Non Denom as well. The pastor who baptized her was a big fan of K…

I received this website link from FBIS (Way of Life Literature) on Thursday, October 4, 2007: http://www.repentanceblacklist.com/ This website is provided by Pastor Steven L Anderson, pastor of Faithful Word Baptist Church, Phoenix, Arizona. I believe Pastor Steven L. Anderson is a member of OB and goes by the nic sanderson1769 Has anybody else received this email from David Cloud's ministry? Here's a short paragraph from the email: I don't believe that this is part of the doctrinal statement of OB. This person is slandering many godly Christian men and ministries. Any thoughts?

by Grant Swank Is Baptist Grown Britney Saved? September 23, 2007 12:00 PM EST Britney was reared in the Baptist church. She was taught the way of salvation, that is, repenting of personal sins, committing one?s life to Jesus and living the disciplined life. She was brought up in Bible studies, church youth groups, altar calls, personal testimonies in worship and witnessing to others about Jesus. All this is basic to the Southern Baptist Convention lifestyle that enveloped Britney. Along with memorizing Scripture verses and daily devotions, Britney was taught "eternal security." What is that teaching? It is a Baptist staple, namely, that once one is saved by Je…

WARNING - It's a little long! PART 1 I am sure many of you are aware that there are those who posit that either A) there is no "Hell" or everybody will be saved, or C) "Hell" is just death (or the grave), or finally D) they can not believe in "a God" that would condemn so many to eternal punishment. I am not interested in "apologetics" for the sake of debate. I am interested in "apologetics" so I can better answer questions when dealing with either non believers or with a fellow maturing Christian (of which I too am hopefully growing). Background: The term "hell" in the Bible (KJV) in the OT is translated from the word "sheol". It is translated as such 31 t…

Hi, I'm sort of new here even though I've lurked around for some time. I need some guidance. I thought I was saved almost 20 years ago but I've really done nothing and I've even dropped out of church. Lately, it is really bothering me and I constantly doubt my salvation. No matter how many times I ask forgiveness or ask Jesus to save me I feel nothing. I can't stay "on track" for more than a day. I've recently had a baby and my husband and I want to raise her right in a good church. I'm convinced that I'm not saved and that God is not hearing me. I've even gone and spoken to counselors, read my Bible and I still think I'm not saved. I don't know what to do any…

I was wondering if anyone could explain who the sheep and the goats are in Matthew 25:31-46. The reason I ask, is that a good friend of mine says they are the people who did not accept Christ in their life time and defends this with Rev 5:10, claiming that we as Christians are to reign on the earth and they will be the people we will reign over. This doesn't seem to make sence because it would mean unbelievers would be saved by works; but then I'm not sure who this passage is referring to. Michele

Hi everyone. What should I do if I don't feel saved? I know that one should not rely on feelings but sometimes I seriously wonder if I am saved and I have said that sinner's prayer (and meant it) countless times.

What does the bible say about Eternal Security? Are true believers genuinely secure? The bible is the inerrant word of God and has no contradictions, and this passage irrefutably proves the the a Child of God cannot lose their salvation. Any conditional security passage would posit a contradiction, thus they would have to be reconciled. The truth is that there are NO passages in scripture which can exegetically prove that a Child of God can lose their salvation. First lets deal with The Recipients (SHEEP). The Recipients

Just think about it for a minute, imagine. A whip is tearing into your skin and flesh and rips apart your body. The glass and peices of bones cutting and ripping. Hanging on a cross by one nail in each had and one through the feet.as 100-200 pounds of human hang on just that hand only held by a nail.ripping apart your hand. The only other way to hold yourself up is by another nail tearing into your feet. BUT...was this ALL that Jesus suffered? The Bible tells us that he took our punishment, our sins on his back.Every single little lie was a whips blow. Christ was not Crucified once.He was crucified Billions of times. For each and every person. He suffered your death. …

Hehe Kathie...What does everybody believe about dispensational salvation? I believe that believers were all saved the same way, by grace through faith, through all dispensations. I believe that in all dispensations, people can/could not lose their salvation. I'm gonna try to find the verses my preacher showed us on this topic in Bible Institute Monday night. Hopefully I wrote them in my notebook haha. Katy-Anne

Is there a difference between salvation and religion? If there is what is it?

Recently I was reading a post in the salvation forum and came across this question concerning eternal security, "is God an indian giver"? As I have thought on this for a while it has brought other questions to my mind. BTW I am OSAS in my theology. Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23 and 1 John 5:11-12 all state that eternal life is a gift from God. Here are my questions, If we could give back God's gift to us back how would we do it? Since the gift is received through faith and that faith itself is a gift of God how would this be accomplished? Seeing eternal life is not tangible because it is procured by faith what exactly would be given back? Your thoughts on these…

I recently was talking to a catholic about James. He said James meant exactly what he said and then wrote down a list as fallows: (Matthew 25:31-46) (Matthew 7:21) (John 5:28-29) (Romans 2:6) (2 Corinthians 5:10) (1Peter 1:17) (Revelation 20:12) (Revelation 22:12) After looking at these verses I am quite confused. They would all seem to imply that we are judged on what we do and not just our faith. Could some one please explain these to me? I

Greetings I am a firm believer in eternal security (Once Saved; Always Saved). I would like to answer your questions regarding troublesome passages that many think imply that one can lose their eternal security. May the LORD bless these exchanges! Dr. Olson

Greetings in the name of Christ and sound theology :!: Justification is a critical doctrine for Christian theology. A proper understanding of justification is mandatory as a bulwark against heresy. Luther claimed that it was the "chief article" by which a Church stands or falls. I whole heartedly recommend that we each take the following quiz: 1 (a) God gives a man right standing with Himself by mercifully accounting him innocent and virtuous. . .( God gives a man right standing with Himself by actually making him into an innocent and virtuous person. 2 (a) God gives a man right standing with Himself by placing Christ

Recognizing that one is totally unable to save or help save himself, a man is justified or declared righteous in the sight of God when he entrusts his soul to Christ alone to give him eternal salvation. It is not possible to savingly believe on Jesus Christ and think that ones works have anything to do with the forgiveness of sin. The Bible says, For by grace [undeserved favor] are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). If salvation is by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no mo…
