I have studied a little bit on spiritual oppression and possession. Can you tell me what these verses mean? And how would someone appear today if they were oppressed or possessed? Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. At one point in my life here on earth I was addicted to sin and evil. So much to the point that I even stopped lying to myself and God about it. I too have struggled with Yes and No, Right and Wrong. It notoriously bugs me. My dads family being Salvationists, and my mother being an unfit mother. Then theres me. The struggle in my life is undoubtably crushing at times. Even so recently. I struggle with alot and often times let myself down by throwing down the fight knowing I'm going to be wrong in doing so . I was saved on Feb. 25, 1973. I received the Holy Ghost and spoke in another language, just like the 120 did on the Day of Pentecost in Acts the 2nd chapter. It was really wonderful... experiencing the Supernatural God for myself. Just like the 39th verse it is for us today as it was for them in Acts 2nd Chapter. Does anybody's church use The Exchange discipleship book lessons? The author is Jeff Musgrave and its printed by Journeyforth a division of Bob Jones University Press. They are excellent discipleship tools, but it's hard to keep new believers to commit to going through the entire program. The first book is called The Exchange and goes through the basics of salvation. The second is Living the Exchange and goes through several topics about living a Christian life. The thirst is called Giving the Exchange and obviously focuses on evangelism and specific ways to reach out to the lost. If anyone has used it, I'd like to hear how it worked out for you?

Last year I begin having questions re: many topics, I searched and searched for answers, went to my husband, then to our bible study teacher, and then to the pastor. For a while now, I have been attending a Church(IFB), while I am waiting for the Lord to open a door for my next pastorate; And although(for the most part), I very much enjoy the opportunity to be “preached to”, I am not on the “exact same page” as my pastor. I have been gathering information for quite some time now on all the aspects of salvation and how one gets saved, with special attention to the Call from God all the way to the sinner's response to receive or reject. Here is something on repentance that I just heard yesterday from a visiting speaker to our church. Versus that we can all share the simple plan of salvation. 😇 you don’t have to be a pastor, or an Evangelist to share the gospel. Just born again saved, and if you are baptized, this will be a plus. If you are visiting a church, that people are not getting saved or the gospel not being shown to them, you might need to find a different church. God Bless, the Romans Road is a good way to share the gospel, but not the only way.

Romans 5:1 & 5:2 are talking about two different things. V1 starts with ‘therefore’ and is summing up ‘Justification by faith’ V2 is a change of topic and is about ‘Standing’, which is also accessed by faith and is also possible by Grace. The access is permanent and fixed, the entering and standing are down to us (many versions of the modern Bibles obscure this change and distinction of topic and make both verses about the one topic, Justification.) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

I was reading the Eternal Security thread and am still kind of puzzled since I do come from a background that states that one can lose their salvation and am beginning to understand that if one is truly saved that they cannot lose their salvation. Is this, "truly saved", referring only to those that attempt not to live a sinful life? I know we are all going to sin and that we just have to dust ourselves and get up and keep going...
