ABOUT BIRTH FROM ABOVE What do I see in the Bible about this? There is a biblical and very brief formula: " Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God." Simple and universal! Why such a formula is more correct than the generally accepted tradition: "Repented = born again"? Because it corresponds 100% to what Christ taught about the birth of Above in John 3: 1-21. We have the original source of the Birth from Above Doctrine - The Christ Himself! I propose for all in the Birth from Above Doctrine let’s stop to be, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way in a study of a Birth from Above Doctrine - then we will …

This hit me Sunday morning as our Pastor was reading the text in John 3 before the message. A person who has never been saved is...."he that believeth not" right? Hypothetical question.... What if a person who ONCE believed, could stop believing? Wouldn't he now also be "he that believeth not"? But that can't be so, because this verse says that "he that believeth not"......"hath not believed" John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Any person who doesn't believe, never has.

Does anyone ever doubt their salvation? Or do you have any advice for someone who does? I am a huge worrywart, always have been. I tend to dwell on the "what if's" in life and stress over bad things. Obviously if I am going to worry so much over every little thing, something as huge and important as salvation is definitely going to be a worry of mine. I know what the Scripture says and know I am saved, but yet I always have this "what if" and fear in the back of my mind that I might not be. Is this normal or am I just weird?

1 Cor. 3:10-15 10 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon." 11 "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." 12 "Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;" 13 "Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is." 14 "If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward." 15 "If …

Hello Family of God, "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?" (Psalm 8:4) Quite a tiny world called Earth in a cosmos of near endless celestial bodies; and yet the Omnipresent Creator presents to the inhabitants of this infinitesimal world an Unfathomable Love which surpasses all comprehension of finite man. God is too often accused of being mean-spirited by unbelievers, and this is because they do NOT know Him who takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezek. 18:32; 33:11; Rom. 5:8; 1 Cor. 13:6). However, it would be an injustice on God's part if He were to allow unrepentant sinners entrance into His Eterna…

How can you tell if a Christian is Saved (born again)? This easily happens, when a person is not shown the Bible. If the person did not confess, realize that he or she is a sinner, that needs a savior. They might be still lost. Just praying and letting the Holy Spirit do everything might not be enough. Opening the Bible and sharing it, brings assurance to the new believer.

I'm hoping this is in the right place, but I'm new so sorry if it isn't. My husband and I are Christian and trying to find a path to convert denominations to IFB. Specifically I am because my husband doesn't really care one way or the other but I'm hoping to change his heart about it. I don't know where to start. There are Independent Baptist churches near me (we are going to one in a few minutes) but no IFB churches. I feel lost.

Hello everyone. This may seem silly and I may just be having a panic attack over nothing. I was saved on April 27th and was pulled out of a life of bouncing from religion to religion searching for truth (raised Mormon, Catholic, Wiccan/Pagan, Buddhist, Hindu, Charismatic, even dabbled in Scientology and Jehovah's Wittness). Any who, after I accepted Christ, I continued to smoke. I am hoping today is my first day without cigarettes. Was my salvation not valid or did I lose it already because I was still smoking? I am sorry I am new to all this and I am getting baptized on Sunday, I am just reaching out to more mature Christians for advice because I am going crazy worrying …

- According to Christ's sayings; the properties of night and day are distinctly different. ● John 11:9-10 . . Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. The light of this world is the sun. ● Gen 1:14 . . And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night ● Gen 1:16 . . And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night So then; when…

We recently had some church events come up that have me wondering something. If a person has said they are saved and then it turns out they were not, what would that mean of any that have been led by them? I know that the Holy Ghost is the one convicting and that the soulwinner is a tool, but I have just never thought about that before?

Hi guys. I don't know where to post this, but the Lord has been laying it in my heart for the past few days to tell people about Jesus. This burden is so strong that I have felt sick and very desperate to reach out to others and tell them about Jesus. I asked my Pastor if there were any ministries I could do through my church to serve God, but all he said to me was that if there was anything, he'd let me know. God has been driving me to serve Him so bad that I don't think I can wait much longer for an answer from my Pastor, I am desperate here and I don't think he understands just how urgent it is to witness to the lost. People are dying and going to Hell. That is no l…

Pre- Christ justification?
by Guest- 5 replies

Here's a starting point... Psalms 143:2 And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. I read the scripture above during today's devotions and wondered what others may have settled on. I took the framework for this from Evans... William Evans ...so what was the the source of justification before Christ's birth, death, ressurection? Ed. for clarification.

Greetings! How do we know that we're Christians? What defines a Christian? Well, the biblical answer would be two fold: 1) *knowledge, *belief (or assent), and *trust in Jesus Christ. 1. Knowledge in that one intellectually apprehends the essential facts of who Christ is--namely, that He is God in the flesh (sent by the God the Father) that He really died and *physically* raised from the grave, and born of a virgin (also including the facts of the Tri-unity of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit sharing the nature of the ONE God, i.e., one God co-existing as three eternal, equal, "distinct" persons). 2. Belief (or assent) in those facts. 3. Tr…

[flash=]As I already stated when I introduced myself in the other forum. I come from a long line of radical pentecostal/ holiness/ full gospel believers. Last year I begin having questions re: many topics, I searched and searched for answers, went to my husband, then to our bible study teacher, and then to the pastor. I never could get a good straight biblical answer. With that being said here goes my first question, I hope that I am not out of line by coming here to ask instead of my husband, but I did go to him first but he did not give me a biblical answer, just what he had been taught and heard all these years..... This is actually a two part question I suppose....T…

John 6:37-40 says, "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven , not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which He hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and i will raise Him up at the last day." Jesus Christ is the One who guaranteed all true believers eternal salvation and to raise them up at the rapture of the church when He return…

We need to pray for this Rabbi that the Lord opens his eyes and gives him the understanding of the gospel and the salvation of Jesus Christ. Also to pray for the christian missionaries and for their protection. Outreach Rabbi Singer to Challenge Missionary Aggression by IsraelNN Staff (IsraelNN.com) The Outreach Judaism organization has announced that it is launching an exhaustive four-part lecture series in Jerusalem to respond directly to missionaries who engage in Jewish evangelism. The campaign is in an effort to combat a disturbing assault by fundamentalist Christians who target Jews for conversion. Outreach Judaism is an international organization dedi…

At one point in my life here on earth I was addicted to sin and evil. So much to the point that I even stopped lying to myself and God about it. I told God that not only was I addicted to sin and evil but I loved it. I told God the truth. That I loved sin and evil more than I loved him. In fact at that point in time the truth was that I did not love God at all. I used God. I took God for granted. All I wanted was what I wanted. I could have cared less about how God felt or what he wanted. At that time I wasn't even aware that God had feelings just like I did. All God was to me was a meal ticket. A free ride to where ever I dreamed I could go. He was my escape goat. I wa…

BJ was introduced to our fellowship group a few weeks ago as a new convert. He had been seeking peace in his religion for some time, but met a Nigerian who told him, "Not religion, but faith in Jesus" & prayed with & for him. Within 3 days he knew the peace only to be found in Jesus. I've rarely met one so eager for fellowship & so enthusiastic about Bible teaching. He will return to the Punjab on Feb. 28th. His uncle is a Christian & he has links to Christians we know in India but his family have told him they don't want him now he is a Christian. Our study last Friday was on baptism (by John & of Jesus) & its implications as seen in Romans …
