Hi, I'm sort of new here even though I've lurked around for some time. I need some guidance. I thought I was saved almost 20 years ago but I've really done nothing and I've even dropped out of church. Lately, it is really bothering me and I constantly doubt my salvation. No matter how many times I ask forgiveness or ask Jesus to save me I feel nothing. I can't stay "on track" for more than a day. I've recently had a baby and my husband and I want to raise her right in a good church. I'm convinced that I'm not saved and that God is not hearing me. I've even gone and spoken to counselors, read my Bible and I still think I'm not saved. I don't know what to do any…

I have a friend judging whether or not I am saved to begin with Does this person have that right? or is that only meant for God? My friend seems to think they do am I right to be frustrated about it? the last question I have is How can they know for sure unless they actually can see my heart and the only person that can do that is God. My 8 yr old girl takes her bible to school she also cares tracks with her to help her when she is talking with her friends about Jesus. In dealing with forgiveness...the Bible teaches salvation puts our sin away and when we are in judgement we will be judged for our works and not our sins, if we are saved. BUT... On the other hand alot is preached on forgiveness...confessing our sins and "if you don't forgive others, God won't forgive you" etc. But doesn't the Bible teach that we are "justified" if we are saved? What part does forgiveness play in a saved person's life? I was just studying my sunday school lesson and it teaches the well known lesson that we should forgive others so that God will forgive us. The Lord said that no greater gift can a man give than to lay down his life for a friend. This passage seemingly refers to physical life in context IMO (since we have the authority to actually give up our physical life for another) BUT: And let me caveat this by saying that I see no where in Scripture where this is possible so this thread is purely hypothetical. I was reading the Eternal Security thread and am still kind of puzzled since I do come from a background that states that one can lose their salvation and am beginning to understand that if one is truly saved that they cannot lose their salvation. Is this, "truly saved", referring only to those that attempt not to live a sinful life? I know we are all going to sin and that we just have to dust ourselves and get up and keep going... I give a co-worker a ride to work twice a week; and was wanting to witness to him. I asked the Lord to give me wisdom on how to present the gospel to him. I too have struggled with Yes and No, Right and Wrong. It notoriously bugs me. My dads family being Salvationists, and my mother being an unfit mother. Then theres me. Versus that we can all share the simple plan of salvation. 😇 you don’t have to be a pastor, or an Evangelist to share the gospel. Just born again saved, and if you are baptized, this will be a plus. If you are visiting a church, that people are not getting saved or the gospel not being shown to them, you might need to find a different church. God Bless, the Romans Road is a good way to share the gospel, but not the only way.

Question: As some of you know, my father is in a critical condition right now because of diabetes. Me, my sister, Pastors and Bible students in our church shared to him the gospel many times in the hospital.
