I received this website link from FBIS (Way of Life Literature) on Thursday, October 4, 2007: http://www.repentanceblacklist.com/ This website is provided by Pastor Steven L Anderson, pastor of Faithful Word Baptist Church, Phoenix, Arizona. I believe Pastor Steven L. Anderson is a member of OB and goes by the nic sanderson1769 Has anybody else received this email from David Cloud's ministry? Here's a short paragraph from the email: I don't believe that this is part of the doctrinal statement of OB. This person is slandering many godly Christian men and ministries. Any thoughts?

I've really been struggling in my mind over something lately. It seems there are a whole lot of churches that have bus ministries that bring in children who make salvation decisions, but then when they become a teenager or adult or they move away, etc.., they just quit on God altogether and live the worldly life and totally forget about their childhood decision. Is their salvation not real? Is it possible to get saved and then just forget about your salvation for the rest of your life?

- ● Acts 1:1-3 . .The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: to whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. That's fine that Jesus showed himself alive to the apostles by many convincing proofs; but where's our proofs? How are his followers today supposed to be convinced Jesus is alive? ● 1Cor 9:1 . . Have I not seen Jesus Christ our …

Psalm 119:63 says, "I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts." Those who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are our brethren in the Lord. If they are living a holy life for the Lord, then we should seek to have Christian fellowship with them in the Lord Jesus Christ. However, if a man or woman is not living for the Lord, we should separate from that person. II Thessalonians 3:6 says, "Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us." We should seek to obey God by…

Hello Family of God, There will always be a debate as to whether a Genuine Believer can stop believing, or if someone who DOES NOT believe IN THEIR HEART can come to believe at some point in their life. The Bible makes it VERY CLEAR that there is Genuine Belief that can never fall away from TRUE FAITH, and a false belief or unbelief that stems from a hardened heart that will NEVER be persuaded of the Gospel Message and Salvation by Grace through TRUE FAITH. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; …

Like I said, these guys are cowards!(Thats why they keep deleting my posts) They believe this false Babylonian Catholic "repent unto salvation" gospel. I have already proved them to be apostate,I have given a list of every verse in the Bible with "repent" in it,and proved that not everyone repents to be saved. They refuse to give answer to the "Evidence That Demands A Verdict"! The gospel of John mentions "believe" 90 times and the word "repent" is mentioned NONE!(The same amount of verses they have to prove their false Babylonian doctrine.) "Believe" is mentioned 6 to 1 over "repent" and "repent" is one of the least talked about subjects in the Bible. They have ye…

G?day! I found this interesting video on YouTube looking at the issue of Calvinism, it is a debate with James White (Calvinist) and Dave Hunt (non-Calvinist). It is quite a decent video, so I thought I would share it with you, and get your opinions on it as well. http://sovereigntybaptist.blogspot.com/ ... -dave.html May this video encourage us all to think more theologically as we come to dealing with the deep things of Scripture.

New thread continued from Brothers and Sisters in Christ: Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. Not the answer you were looking for I am guessing but there it is. The love of the world precludes doing the will of God and precludes abiding forever. The love of the world is in direct contradiction to the wil…

Hehe Kathie...What does everybody believe about dispensational salvation? I believe that believers were all saved the same way, by grace through faith, through all dispensations. I believe that in all dispensations, people can/could not lose their salvation. I'm gonna try to find the verses my preacher showed us on this topic in Bible Institute Monday night. Hopefully I wrote them in my notebook haha. Katy-Anne

Do any of you use Bible tracts when you are witnessing? If so, which ones? Why? 1 2 3

I was wondering if any of you used Bible tracts in witnessing to others, or to give the Gospel to people you only get to see in passing and can't truly don't have the time to fully present the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you use tracts, which ones do you use, and why do you use that particular tract? I know growing up in the IFB churches in Illinois, many of the churches used a "What Can I Do to Be Saved?" tract. There were several others as well, and there were many decisions for Christ made using those tracts. Thank you in advance.

I'm new to the Baptist doctrine, so please excuse my ignorant inquiries. I would like to know about salvation. Do Christians who adhere to the teachings of other Christian denominations (sub-denominations / groups / Churches etc.) have a chance at salvation, or do only Baptists get saved?

Why do so many Christians doubt their Salvation if God's promises are never to be broken? It concerns me a great deal that there are many genuine Christians who are indeed saved but feel as if they're not at times. Verily, verily, I say unto you. He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath [present tense] everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed [perfect tense] from death unto life. (John 5:24) These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know [perfect tense] that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13) The "p…

I've listened to a radio preacher in my area a few times to make sure that I heard his "salvation plan" correctly... After his recorded sermon ends, another recording comes on that invites people to their church etc...and part of the final recording is an invitation to be saved...this is how it's presented... If you want to be saved, it's as easy as A-B-C. A - Admit that you're a sinner. B - Believe that Jesus is the Son of God. C - Confess your sins to him. That's it...and that's all that is said. I know what I think, but what do others think of this?

This list of questions has been in the flyleaf of my Bible for some time, and is very effective when dealing with carnal and baby Christians that have not yet grasped the finality of their salvation. They seem convinced that they haven't believed hard enough, or that there must be something left for them to do in order to feel for certain that they are saved. These questions are designed to replace the word "feel" with the word "know." "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Rom 5:1 KJV). EIGHTEEN QUESTIONS ON ASSURANCE 1. Did Jesus die for me personally? 2. Did the Saviour fail in His effort to save me?…

Eternal Rewards Daniel 12:1–3 KJV 1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Notice verse 3! I believe our brightness wil…

John 6:37-40 says, "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven , not to do mine own will, but the will of Him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which He hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and i will raise Him up at the last day." Jesus Christ is the One who guaranteed all true believers eternal salvation and to raise them up at the rapture of the church when He return…

What does the bible say about Eternal Security? Are true believers genuinely secure? The bible is the inerrant word of God and has no contradictions, and this passage irrefutably proves the the a Child of God cannot lose their salvation. Any conditional security passage would posit a contradiction, thus they would have to be reconciled. The truth is that there are NO passages in scripture which can exegetically prove that a Child of God can lose their salvation. First lets deal with The Recipients (SHEEP). The Recipients

Hi everyone. As I said in my introductory post in the introductions forum, I am re investigating my Baptist roots. I fully intend to become Baptist again and to stay Baptist. I am currently attending a Fundamentalist Baptist Church called the Gospel Center. Anyway, I am having trouble understanding the doctrine of once saved, always saved or eternal security. Could someone please explain it to me and provide verses to back it up?

Recently I was reading a post in the salvation forum and came across this question concerning eternal security, "is God an indian giver"? As I have thought on this for a while it has brought other questions to my mind. BTW I am OSAS in my theology. Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 6:23 and 1 John 5:11-12 all state that eternal life is a gift from God. Here are my questions, If we could give back God's gift to us back how would we do it? Since the gift is received through faith and that faith itself is a gift of God how would this be accomplished? Seeing eternal life is not tangible because it is procured by faith what exactly would be given back? Your thoughts on these…

There is an 800 page book by author Dan Corner, it supposedly has all the bible info on how and why you can lose your salvation. He cannot differentiate between Eternal Security and OSAS. OSAS is a license for immorality as he correctly mentions in his book, and at the same time says that Eternal Security and OSAS are one and the same with regards to a license for immorality. He explains why Eternal Security is dangerous and a damnable heresy because folks would say, "I can sin all Iwant, I am saved and can't lose it no matter how I live my life." This could not be further from the truth. It is written: "...and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified…
