I've had my new computer for some like a week, so far Windows 7 Professional has gone pretty good, & I'm slowly learning where stuff is. Plus so far everything I had on my XP is working on this one with no problems. Even my Microsoft Words 2003, Microsoft Office Student & Teachers. This computer is not as nice of a computer as my old Compaq, but it did not cost near as much either. It does not have no extra internal bays, I will have to use a dock to run the extra hard drive where I keep most of my stuff. My last computer came with a 80 GB Hard drive, this one has a TB1.5, they sure making them big. I'm not so sure I like Windows Live Mail, one of my friends …

This is taken from the June/July 2011 issue of Reader's Digest: "My now ex-girlfriend and I were in my room one day, and the internet was particularly slow. After I complained, she suggested that I untangle my ethernet cord so that more internet could get through."

Lately Chrome has not been displaying Facebook properly. It just shows about a 4" square in the top center of the browser. In Opera it is displayed properly. Facebook is the only site I've noticed that does this. Any ideas what this is happening?

The wife and I are looking to put in place Internet Filtering software for our home network to make certain our grandchildren and others can not (even accidentally) access questionable or pornographic material. I haven't got a clue which services out there are the best. Any of your suggestions or feedback would be appreciated. Thank you. P.S. Could a moderator move this posting to a more seen and appropriate forum? Done, it is now in the computer forum. BroMatt

In the last few days my computer started making a strange noise. Finally last night I opened it up, them hooked it all up to see if I could figure out what it was. I thought it had to be one of my hard drives because about 4 months back the power supply went out and a new one was installed. It was the power supply There is a computer store in town so I was there when they opened. I carried my old one being as I know nothing about them. The man looked at it and said, yes, we've got them, do you want a used one or a new one. I said I wanted a new one. He went and got one off a shelf, took it out of the box, and stated after checking the wires, this will be yours. It…

As I was upgrading the phpBible.org script, it occured to me that I had all the necessary components to make it a simple content management system, so low-budget churches and ministries could use it to build thier web site for free. I decided to rename it Salt & Light CMS ( http://saltandlightcms.org ) and have the Bible search part finished and functional. In the next few weeks or months I'll be building the CMS part then putting it together into an downloadable and installable package. This first version will be very simple with just the ability to create, edit and link pages. Future ugrades will include additional functions light calander of events, member login, …

I have been searching for my memory stick which contains many of my backup files including our church accounts. Today, my wife found it in the bottom of our washing machine. It must have been in one of my shirt pockets. I put it into my PC, still dripping with water, and suprisingly, it was working and I could recover all my files. Well done Kingston, for a reliable product.

I received my SwordSearcher CD yesterday and promptly installed the full suite including all the many extra books, dictionaries, and commentaries that came with it. Then I went and downloaded a whole heap of extra FREE modules than can be installed to make SwordSearcher a very extensive study library indeed. I'm quite impressed! I spent a few hours learning the ropes of the program and discovered that it has a most excellent search function which can be customised to suit your needs, and the best thing about it is that it not only searches the Bible, it also searches for words and phrases throughout the entire library of books, dictionaries, commentaries, and modules if…
