Last night the church I attend held a Zoom party. We chatted, played games, sang hymns and had a good time of fellowship. This was a good way to keep connected with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Overcast day, rained last night, max temp around 21°C (70°F), and the fire danger is "High". Sorry for the poor clarity, but the lowest rating is "Low-moderate", then "High", "Very High", Severe", "Extreme", and finally "Catastrophic". Had to laugh the other day - it was "low-moderate" while it was raining, but when we drove past the sign an hour alter and the rain had stopped, it was "High". You know you are in WA when the fire danger changes from low to high just because it stopped raining..... In Summer we have automatic fire restrictions and the minimum rating is never below "Very high". We laugh now, but it is actually pretty serious.....

This was written by a long time friend of mine who lived in Wasilla Alaska. He is a wonderful artist as well as a world class story teller. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Winter Night Horror By Vernon Cross I woke up the other day to another morning of sub zero temperatures and soon found out to my dismay that once again we had another frozen water pipe. The water started filling up in the tub while taking a shower and I knew where the freeze was in one of the two 20 foot runs under the house. My gray water is set up so I can take off any frozen section, bring it in the garage and thaw it o…

When I was a boy, our family used to tell, what we called, "logic jokes" around the dinner table. Here's one that I remember from when I was about ten years old or so. A team of archaeologists were digging in northern Africa and discovered two bodies, one male and one female, perfectly preserved to where they looked as if they could have died a few days ago. They called in the team leader. He took one look at them and immediately knew that they were Adam and Eve. How did he know?

Scattergories is one of my favorite games. This version is not as easy as it might appear The rules are: Answer the first word and then each succeeding word has to begin the the last letter of your last word. "Name" is first, and you can use your first, middle or last name, or even your profile name. Play as often as you want. I'll start so you can see how it goes. Name - LuAnneAnimal- EgretGirls name- TiannaColor - Amber Movie- Resistance Something you wear - Earrings Drink - Sweet Tea Food - Avocado Item in the bathroom - Oil of Olay Place - Yakima Reason to be late -Accident So, who's next?

I was just going to tell a joke in the humor section, but decided to make a silly game instead. So, this game is called 'Tomato or Rose'. What happens is, person A tells a joke, a funny story, or anything with humor. If you laugh so hard your monocle pops out and falls into your tea, you toss a "Rose" and then you tell a joke. If the joke person A told is one you've heard a million times or otherwise don't think it's funny, you give a "harrumph", take a sip of your tea, and throw a "Tomato" and then you tell a joke to make up for the lame one. You can use emoticons for emphasis if you want. If you're unable to think of a joke or other humorous thing to post, you can jus…

OK, I'll take a stab at making a game. I'll be the first to admit I'm no gamer and will probably (most likely) over time forget this is here. The game consists of statements, questions, or answers. Whatever comes to mind, but NO mean spirited attacks, we get enough of that from Satan's minions. Why '7' words or less, you may wonder? Well, 7 is the number of perfection. Don't hold my breath...here goes... Mankind can not create a social utopia.

The rules for this game are simple: Person A posts a question using the Bible. Person B responds, if they are correct they then ask a question. If they get it wrong, it continues until someone answers correctly. The question can be as easy or as difficult as you would like. Example: Person A: Who did Queen Esther invite to the banquet? Person B: The king and Haman! "And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him." Person A: Correct! Person B: What was Peter's other name? And....that's the question, should be simple Make sure you post the scripture verse with your answer. ___________…

1 Timothy 4 - 1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up i…

I hope this game can be fun - it's got the possibilities of being quite hilarious, actually. The way to play is this: I will post a beginning statement that will start a story. You (whoever) follow up with another statement and so on and so forth. The story can go any direction, depending on what you post. So, let's go! It was a dark and stormy night, and I was all alone when all of a sudden...
