I wrote this when I first got saved. Innocent and sweet. Running around, In bare little feet. I basked in the sun, I played in the rain, Lived for the day, Life was simple and plain. And then came my teens, And it was like fall, What was once big to me, Became very small. I fell from His Grace, Like the leaves from a tree, Never seeing the trouble, That was waiting for me. The years went by, Like a bad winter storm. HE graced me with blankets, He kept my heart warm. I still never looked, I refused to see, My LORD and SAVIOUR, In front of me. And then I saw HIM! HE made my heart sing! He gave new life, Just like it was spring. Whenever the fal…

My Mornings Each morning Jesus, I bow at your feet; And petition from my heart all my care. My mornings with you are ever so sweet. I enjoy our closeness that I find there. Your Word a treasure, more precious than gold; Provoking more prayer from my heart to you. The truth I find, I desire to uphold. I want my heart to be holy and true. Though I pray throughout the rest of the day, It's my mornings that I love the best. That quiet time we share that guides my way, And keeps me hungering you till I rest. Each night I go to bed and end with prayer. Can't wait till morning and find you still there!

I just wrote this, it is not like a song song, but I just put a tune to it... I Like It The Old Fashioned Way By: Sadie Katharine ______ Verse 1 This world has nothing to offer me, Just a life of pain each day. Its filled sinful misery, That?s why I like the Old Fashioned way. Chorus I like it the Old Fashioned way, The old fashioned music and modesty I like it every day, Old Fashioned I will always be. And though this world may be against your stand, We have our Old King James Word each day, So just lift up your hands, And say I like it the Old Fashioned Way. Verse 2 and 3 The Old Fashion preaching, And shouting too. When the devils a creepin…

Bubbles by Alan As one goes through life, troubles, like bubbles, arise and flow, Turmoil and woe, Friend and Foe Alike flow like bubbles, Bubbles, like troubles, are the woe on man, The curse of sin, Bubbles, like time, wax and wan, rise and fall Though big and complex, like the throes of life, meet man alike Bubble like troubles, are strong and weak to all they meet A wind shall carry, all alike, from start to finish. Though alike in form, the end is not norm, for all bubbles. To prove t…

Oh, Lord, bring thy strength, Help me, for I am weak and tired; All praise and honor to thy glory, May you keep me eternally inspired. I rejoice in your eternal love, I pray for your everlasting grace; Take the world from my shoulders, Pour thy sweet spirit upon my face. May you, Holy Father, be my armor And your Son
One of my all-time favourites!
Waiting For A Change Desperately, helplessly, longingly, I cried. Quietly, patiently, lovingly God replied. I pled and I wept for a clue to my fate, And the Master so gently said, "Child, you must wait!" "Wait?, you say, wait!" my indignant reply. "Lord, I need answers, I need to know why! Is Your hand shortened? Or have You not heard? By FAITH I have asked, and am claiming Your Word." "My future and all to which I can relate Hangs in the balance, and You tell me to WAIT? I'm needing a 'yes,' a go-ahead sign, Or even a 'no' to which I can resign." "And Lord, You promised that if we …

An article I wrote awhile back... A CD player and radio in the car, a television in the living room and two or more computers place strategically throughout the house. A DVD player, a VCR and perhaps an Xbox or Wii may also be present just to round things out. If it is a Christian, conservative home, the music will be godly and classical, the movies are clean, wholesome and family oriented and the computer will be used for business, e-mail, Facebook and research for homeschool. The radio, of course, will be tuned only to conservative news, talk radio and Rush Linbaugh, Dave Ramsey, et al. There will be lots of books, tapes, DVD’s and CD’s full of preaching, Bi…

So Amazed Basking in Your presence at the start of the day, I meditate in wonder and begin to pray. “So amazed,” is all my raptured soul can say. Who am I, Lord, that You would love me this way? Once burdened by sins that my mind couldn’t erase, Now, forgiven – in Your sight there’s not even a trace. So amazed and awed by Your amazing grace. Who am I, Lord, that You would die in my place? At the mountaintop, at last, I rest from my climb, Rejoicing in the soothing peace that I find. So amazed, in Christ I have victory this time. By staying focused on Him, steadfast in mind. So amazed, Lord, by Your amazing grace, So amazed, Jesus, that You died in …

There Were None Like These In the time of the kings of Israel, Way back in the olden days, There were kings who made a difference, With their righteous or wicked ways. There are lessons we can glean from, Oh, listen to me now, if you please - In a Book filled with true examples, Good or bad - there were none like these. From the northern tribes, we had king Ahab, From the southern, king Manasseh, These two kings tore apart their kingdoms, Filled them with their unrighteous ways. With all the evil that they pursued, And all their abominable idolatries, For utter destruction to their kingdoms - No remedy was left - there were none like t…

As I read this poem I started crying because Someone so perfect loves me inspite of who I am and that is a sinner saved by grace. I do not know what next may come Across my pilgrim way; I do not know tomorrow's road, Nor see beyond today. But this I know --my SAVIOUR knows The path I cannot see; And I can trust His wounded hand To guide and care for me. I do not know what may befall, Of sunshine or of rain; I do not know what may be mine, Of pleasure and of pain; But this I know -- my SAVIOUR knows And whatsoe'er it be Still I can trust his love to give What will be best for me. I do not know what may await, Or what the morrow brings; But with th…

This has been kept alive and moving since 9/11. In memory of all those who perished this morning; the passengers and the pilots on the United Air and AA flights, the workers in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and all the innocent bystanders. Our prayers go out to the friends and families of the deceased. IF I KNEW If I knew it would be the last time That I'd see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep. If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more. If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up…

O world, O world, why all the trouble, Running to and fro for answers in vain? Why set up solutions to make more problems And destroy yourself piece by piece? You spend billions and years to fight nasty AIDS, And teach "safe sex" to the innocent young: When God's Word says firm and clear: "Thou shalt not commit adultery." Teach husbands and wives to be faithful to each other, Teach the young ones to keep clean for their future spouses. So, why, O why, shake your fist against God, When His way is clearly the best? You hold meetings and debates to stop wars, And beg and plead for an end to all nukes: When God's Word stands strong and says: "Thou shalt do no…

Sinking In The Mire Jeremiah 38:6a Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. The prophet Jeremiah's enemies gathered together against him, seeking to put him to death. As a result, he was cast into the dungeon, where he began to sink in the mire. Jeremiah 38:6b And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire. Adversities and afflictions will often seem to rise against us, much like Jeremiah's enemies rose against him. Left with no firm footing, you may find yourself sinking in the mire of despair, ove…

Crucifixion Day By: Sadie Katharine _______ The blood ran down his face, The crown of Thorns placed upon His head, Giving all of His merciful grace That He would die and let me live instead. The tears, strife, and pain All that He went through. The crowd mocked His Holy name For He was King of the Jews. It was on Crucifixion Day That led me to the Cross of Calvary The One and Only way Our Saviour who hung on an Old Rugged Tree. My soul was set free, By our Lord, the only way. Washing my wretched sins by the Cross of Calvary I am only here, all because of Crucifixion Day The torment as He hung to die His beaten body worn and bruised. The laughte…

A problem I find For from the abundance But it is not my desire, For my heart leads my mouth; As I go through my life; Of the heart doth it speak: So what is it then? In God's Word we can see it. My mouth is the cause The murmurings, disputings, What would thus cause me Yet my heart is not led, Of an abundance of strife. Criticizing the weak. To…

FOR VERA ADAMS September 18, 1929-May 8 2008 Open the windows of Heaven Swing the door open wide A soul will soon be arriving With the angels as her guide Her life has been filled with goodness Her faith has kept her strong As she walks the paths of glory In His hands she will belong Let the sun shine brightly for her Let there be peace within her soul For she knows what?s beyond the Heaven As she reaches her final goal. Her family and friends are there waiting St. Peter at the gate To welcome God?s child to His Kingdom With gold stars upon her plate When the trumpet sounds she will answer Yes Lord I am coming home I am ready willing and waiting…

The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama. Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama. The judge's poem sums it up quite well. America The Beautiful America the Beautiful, or so you used to be. Land of the Pilgrims' pride; I'm glad they'll never see. Babies piled in dumpsters, Abortion on demand, Oh, sweet land of liberty; your house is on the sand. Our children wander aimlessly poisoned by cocaine, Choosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain. From …

I saw this poem in the March 10, 2017, Vol. LXXXIII, No. 5, issue of 'The Sword of the Lord.' The Poem did not list any credits, or an author, and may be found on page 3, under, 'For Preachers.' My Bible Though the cover is worn And the pages are torn And though places bear traces of tears, Yet more precious than gold Is the Book, worn and old, That can shatter and scatter my fears. When I prayerfully look In the precious old Book, As my eyes scan the pages I see Many tokens of love From the Father above …

Praise Him, the Mighty God. Praise Him, the Mighty God. (A song of Praise: a Prayer of Thanks) Lord, we are not worthy to house thy Spirit; We cannot approach unto thy love and grace, And these tainted lips are not worthy to speak thy name; But you have seen fit to grant us such joy, And for this we must thank thee, Oh Lord. Yeah, we are truly thankful for blessings bestowed; Such grace is undeserved; Oh but the love of a Mighty God, Is freely given in spite of flesh. And in the privilege of prayer. Oh Lord, “What is man, that thou art mindful of him?” “And the son of man, that thou visitest him?” How can such grace be given, To such unworthy cre…

Lost… I once was lost in the sea of life Caught in the waves of endless rife; Tossed with the waters, and out of control, Amid confusions in a life dull and droll. My ship was sailin’ on a roaring sea, Alone and forsaken, a heartfelt plea; Drifting away at the waters will, Never seeming to get my fill; I was sailing in circles, and all hope was lost Never fearing the wrath this life would cost. Frustrations mounted, and bitterness came, My world was crashing, I found ill fame; I chased every vice that man could attain, It soon led to a life of notorious gain; I sunk to the bottom, in the sea of despair, And wondered how I ever ended up there. I drift…
