my poems come from my heart they are almost like a dairy, should i tell them?i love other peoples opionion.heres another btw. i hold this child in my arms, he gives me a smile and laughs, plays with my hair, stares in my eyes, i never wanted to let him go, i cry for him day and night, remembering his long eyrelashes framing his sweet face as he sleeps, i would coddle him close, as he coos and laughs, i would kiss his sweet forehead, and read him fairytales, i would hold his tiny hands in mine, i would never have let him go, i just wish he had been mine.

Numbers In The Bible Series 07 - Fourfold Picture Of Water From The Rock Day Seven - Fourfold Picture Of Water From The Rock 1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. It is interesting to note that this fourfold picture is unfolded in chronological order in the Bible. 1) The Rock Must Be Smitten Exodus 17:1-7 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink. Wheref…

The Valley Of Faith (Based on Psalm 23) The Lord is my Shepherd. He’s proven faithful throughout the years. Though I walk through death’s dark valley, His grace calmly soothes all my fears. As I closely follow His leading, He provides for my every need. Oh, the waters are so peaceful, And the pastures are rich indeed! When I get weary and heavy laden, When the labour of love takes its toll, I go to the Shepherd for refreshing, And He gently restores my soul. As I lean upon the Shepherd, He guides me in the path that's right. When the shadows seem so gloomy, The Lord is my Lamp and my Light. The Shepherd's name is so preci…

Numbers In The Bible Series 26 - Eight Daily Blessings Day 26 - Eight Daily Blessings Psalm 145:1-5 (David's Psalm of praise.) I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. The following eight blessings are not presented in order of importance, but in the order the main passages used appear in the Word of God…

Love Broke Through I left my shelter, wandered out into harm; My faith grew so weak in the path of the storm. A trial of my choosing; no one else to blame; But His love broke through when I called on His name. Chorus: Love broke through the clouds, Love scattered the rain; God’s love brought healing in the midst of my pain. When the wind and the waves were all I could view, Jesus calmed the storm, and His love broke through. The wind rose so sudden, the thunder now roared; I was all but sinking; my faith came unmoored. A trial to test me – how could I survive? Love broke through and showed me, “My Saviour’s alive!” When loved ones w…

Numbers In The Bible Series 03 - Sevenfold Praise - Part One: Seven Ways To Praise God Day Three - Sevenfold Praise - Part One Ps 100 A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations. Ps 100 is a short Psalm, but one of the most powe…

Mother's Day In Heaven (Dedicated to my Mom - I miss you, and look forward to seeing you again!) It’s your first Mother’s Day in Heaven – I'm so thankful that you're not alone; As you behold the face of our Saviour, And are blessed to worship at His throne. Mom, I would love to send you flowers, Though their fading glory could not compare To the beautiful sights and sounds of Heaven, And your very own mansion over there. I never thought so much about Heaven, As I have since you’ve gone home to that place – Oh Mom, I miss you so very much, And I long to see your precious face. You see, this earthly home now seems more emp…

Numbers In The Bible Series 45 - Laodicea, The Lukewarm Church Day 45 - Laodicea, The Lukewarm Church Sis Kate has already tackled several aspects of the seven letters to the churches in this series - I believe this study would fit there as well. It is interesting to note that there are three things Christ says about Himself in the opening part of the letter, and three things He counsels them to buy from Him through faith. The five things they were lacking in are all met by grace in salvation (grace is often pictured by the number five). Laodicea, The Lukewarm Church There is much we can glean from the seven letters to the churches in Revelation chapt…

Numbers In The Bible Series 15 - God Gives Perfect Rest Day 15 - God Gives Perfect Rest For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. (Isaiah 54:10) Doesn't this verse absolutely bless your socks off? God's promises are not temporary like those of man. His promises are forever, my friend. God's kindness toward us and His covenant of peace with us shall never be removed, even though the mountains and hills disappear! A promise such as this brings peace and rest. No longer does man have to fret or feel alone. …

In 2005, after my Mom died, I spent time with my family attempting to comfort them by preaching about her saving faith at her memorial. I came back so spiritually dry and thirsty from this time, and was unexpectedly empty. I came across these words in Isaiah during my very next Bible reading and they really soothed my soul. Isaiah 41:17-18 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. As a resu…

Numbers In The Bible Series 34 - The Armour Of God Day 34 - The Armour Of God The Christian is in a no-man's land between the opposing forces of Light and darkness: between the Almighty God and His dire enemy, Satan - otherwise known as the Devil. On our own, we cannot face the demonic schemes and principalities, powers, and rulers of the darkness of this world; therefore, we must align ourselves always with God and take the Heavenly aid that God provides through His divine weapons of warfare and through His Armour - the Armour which the Son of God (Christ) Himself wears. In Isaiah, two passages about the coming Messiah declare that: "For he put on righteo…

Numbers In The Bible Series 09 - The Eight Rocks Of Scripture Day Nine - The Eight Rocks Of Scripture While I was on the phone with my dear friend, we were discussing the possibilities of doing a 30-day series on the verses containing the word "rock." As I searched out this possibility, the Lord impressed upon my heart to search for each time the word "rock" was capitalized - Rock. When the results surfaced, I began to weep tears of joy along with my dear friend. My eyes rested on seven verses containing the word Rock and the seventh verse had two occurrences, totaling eight! There is no greater feeling in the world than that of finding a nugget in God's …

Numbers In The Bible Series 08 - The Lord's Eight Provisions Day Eight - The Lord's Eight Provisions Psalm 121, [A Song of degrees.] I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. (1) My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. (2) He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.(3) Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. (4) The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. (5) The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord's Deputy The Lord’s Deputy stands in the night, face covered by the darkness. At the ready the Lord’s Deputy stands, prepared to defend the weak, help the helpless, and protect the innocent. He knows the risk and understands the dangers around him. He knows he may have to pay the ultimate price, the ultimate sacrifice, he knows he may have to give his life. The Lord’s Deputy is not afraid. His heart is prepared; he is wearing his armor. The Armor is special, different from any other kind of armor ever fashioned. It is stronger than any bulletproof vest, harder than any helmet, more powerful than any weapon. The Lord’s Deputy wears this special ar…

“I counted my years and found that I have less time to live from here on than I have lived up to now. I feel like that child who won a packet of sweets: he ate the first with pleasure, but when he realized that there were few left, he began to enjoy them intensely. I no longer have time for endless meetings where statutes, rules, procedures and internal regulations are discussed, knowing that nothing will be achieved. I no longer have time to support the absurd people who, despite their chronological age, haven't grown up. My time is too short: I want the essence, my soul is in a hurry. I don't have man…

JORDAN As I stand in Jordan’s claven depths, Make, O Lord, my death another’s spring That they might live and joyful sing Of Canaan’s shore and deeper rest. Waters of Adam piled on an heap, Whilst prayers upon my slurring lips And tears upon my baby cheeks Wet rocks beneath my tired feet. Standing still, no place to go? O Lord, a dead man cannot move, But waits thy blessings yet to prove And prays though emptied of my flow. Dry as the rocks beneath my feet But praying as the priests beneath the ark, Though caring naught but to depart When standing ‘side my Jordan heap. …

My Anchor Holds Where troubled sea and billow form, There is a Rock within thy storm. When lovers fall as each new tear, The moments taken and stolen years, There is a cleft below thy waves, A love secure with each new day. When upon life's changing waves, We fear our ship might drift away, An anchor is caste behind thy bow, So little, and no strength. But now, It sinks below a mighty storm, Tossing, betrayal, weariness formed. And finds its rest within a cleft, This riven Rock, and there to rest. Faith, like lonely little anchors. Caste, But knows this Rock to hold them fast. …

Numbers In The Bible Series 14 - Five Ways God Is With Us Day 14 - Five Ways God Is With Us Five times we are promised in the Word of God that He is with us. This number representing God's grace, shows His children that we have nothing to fear because He is ever right by our side. When I first discovered there were five verses stating that God is with us, I never thought I would walk away the one most blessed. I pray today's gleaning will shower peace over you, as it did over me. Let's look at the five ways God is with us: (1) When you are afraid. Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: …
