He could have not made a Satan, He could have saved His Son; He could have made the Law, but no Grace, He could have never paid the price. He could have forced our love, He could have turned His back from above; He could have all of Heaven kept, He could have ignored us, in our debt. He could have not created Time, He could have never let His Glory shine; He could have not given us a sea to shining sea, He could have let us die eternally. He could have never given us a soul, He could have not let us have free will- But for His love. I could have never repented of my sin, I could have never believed in Him; I could have never experienced joy, I could ha…

If Jesus Came to Your House If Jesus came to your house to spend a day or two If He came unexpectedly, I wonder what you'd do. Oh, I know you'd give your nicest room to such an honored Guest, And all the food you'd serve him would be the very best, And you would keep assuring Him you're glad to have Him there That serving Him in your home is joy beyond compare. But--when you saw Him coming would you meet Him at the door With arms outstretched in welcome to you heav'nly Visitor? Or would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in? Or hide some magazines and put the Bible where they'd been? Would you turn off the radio--and hope he hadn't heard? A…

A dream i dreamed a dream, a dream so real, i dreamed i was lost and was going to hell, i saw in this dream, an angel searching in a book, on the cover of this book it was written... The Book Of Life, the angel trailed his finger down the pages, looking for something, all the sudden i noticed someone across the room, not sure who he was, a judge was what i guessed when i looked in his face, another man on his left, a man with a kind face, this man smiled at me i smiled back, all the sudden the noise of someone clearing their throat was heard, everyone looked at the angel with the book, the angel looked sad for a moment, then he looked at the judge…

He Goes Before Dark is the sky! and veiled the unknown morrow! Dark is life's way, for night is not yet o'er; The longed-for glimpse I may not meanwhile borrow; But, this I know and trust, HE GOES BEFORE. Dangers are near! and fears my mind are shaking; Heart seems to dread what life may hold in store; But I am His---He knows the way I'm taking, More blessed even still---HE GOES BEFORE. Doubts cast their weird, unwelcome shadows o'er me, Doubts that life's best---life's choicest things are o'er; What but His Word can strengthen, can restore me, And this blest fact; that still HE GOES BEFORE. HE GOES BEFORE! Be this my consolation! He goes befo…

Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. "GOD MEANT IT UNTO GOOD" "God meant it unto good"--O blest assurance, Falling like sunshine all across life's way, Touching with Heaven's gold earth's darkest storm clouds, Bringing fresh peace and comfort day by day. 'Twas not by chance the hands of faithless brethren Sold Joseph captive to a foreign land; Nor was it chance which, after years of suffering, Brought him before the monarch's throne to stand. One Eye all-seeing saw the need of thousands, And planned to meet it through that one…

The LETTER Dear Friend, How are you? I just had to send a note to tell you how much I care about you. I saw you yesterday while you was talking with your friends. I waited all day hoping that you would want to talk with me too. I gave you a sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to rest you - and I waited. You never came. It hurt me.- but I still love you because I am your friend. I saw you sleeping last night and long to touch your brow so I spilled moonlight upon your face. Again I waited, waiting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you! You awoke and rushed off to work. My tears were in the rain. If you would only listen to …

A friend of mine got married last fall and I wrote it for her as a wedding gift.I'd love to know what you all think of it.And honest opinions please!!(I've already gotten painful honesty from my dad so what ya'll say couldn't be any worse lol!) May your love forever flourish As the shape of the ring never ends But when it does chip or tarnish Turn to the healing power of the Lord that forgives every sin Repair disagreements that pain Polish away tarnish and stains And through each chip, pain, and hurt Comes a strength that will keep you 'til death do you part. So,whadya think :?:

"Tomorrow morning", the surgeon began, "I'll open up your heart..." "You'll find Jesus there", the boy interrupted. The surgeon looked up, annoyed. "I'll cut your heart open", he continued, "to see how much damage has been done..." "But when you open up my heart, you'll find Jesus in there", said the boy. The surgeon looked to the parents who sat quietly. "When I see how much damage has been done, I'll sew your heart and chest back up, and I'll plan what to do next." "But you'll find Jesus in my heart. The Bible says He lives there. The hymns all say He lives there. You'll find Him in my heart." The surgeon had had enough. "I'll tell you what I'll find…

Lord, I opened up the vault where I keep all my faults, I started to look around, at all the junk lying on the ground. As I looked inside I began to wonder What could it have been That stopped Your voice of thunder, "Get out of here; you have to much sin!" But as I travel farther inside And see more of what I've tried to hide, I am more than filled with disgust, For all the things I see: the sin, the filth, the lust. So again I wonder why, After I've done all of this You still sent your Son to die, Even after all I've done amiss. How could You love me so That You would let Your blood flow? For someone who didnt care, You did f…

I just finished reading Jerry's testimony, MY VICTORY OVER DEPRESSION on the Real McCoy site. I thought I might Share my testimony with all of you. I wrote in poetry form. HE BROUGHT ME UP I was in the bottom of the pit Buried beneath a load of sin and shame My life was so miserable Dark and gloomy all around I cried help ! But didn't know what to do To live or die ? It didn't matter much to me Then I met the Savior He bid me "come and dine" He gave me the "Living Water" Now He's with me all the time Now my Savior He didn't just save me He keeps me every day For I belong to Him The price He did pay So, if you're on the bottom I tell you …

My Elijah Friends God bless all my Elijah friends, And give them comfort, Lord, tonight - Those faithful few who will not compromise, Who cling to You with all their might. God bless those precious servants, Lord, Who are so dear to Your own heart. They walk alone in this world at times When friend and foes alike do part. Taking refuge there on Higher Ground, In that cave, sheltered from the storm; Listening to Your still small voice That will soothe all fear and alarm. Hidden in the cleft of the Rock - Outside the tempest is fierce this hour. Give them peace within their souls; Keep them close and safe by Your power. Under the shadow of …

Family and friends were gathered around the table on New Years Day. Conversations of various topics could be heard all around the table. Then Aunt Josephine started to talk about New Year's Resolutions . . . Something I've never much understood because it seems most people never follow through on those resolutions . . . seems most people fail in those efforts and end up depressed over the fact. Anyway, Aunt Josephine said that her New Year's Resolution would be to go on a diet and lose 50 pounds. I silently wondered if she was referring to losing the same 50 pounds she swore she was going to lose last year as I watched her stuff a cannoli in her mouth. …

God's Love

God's love is not like the beauty of a starry night, because the sky, though mystical and bright just might for some slight fright, just take up flight and banish the light. Gods love is not like the blooming rose in spring, because as the fall time nears, petals may fling and all that's left are thorns to cling, with pain and sorrow and hurt to sing God's love is not like the mountains majesty mountains bring shadows and valleys, you see snow at times, and mud slides free with rocky edged sides, unlike He. God's love is not like a newborn child you know a the child, that is never mild you know the side that sins a while that smerks and smiles like bea…

MY COURAGES FRIEND If all the music died And music-makers ceased, I think you'd stand and sing A hymn of hope and peace. If nights of doubt and fear Against the light were hurled, I think you'd light a candle and stand against the world. If winds of changing times Up-rooted trees and sod I think instead of mocking You'd stand in praise of god. The beauty of your life is like a work of art Inscribed by memory's hand Upon my grateful heart.

'Twas the night Jesus came and all through the house, not a person was praying, not one in the house... The Bible was left on the shelf without care, for no one thought Jesus would come there... The children were dressing to crawl into bed, not once ever kneeling or bowing their head... And Mom in the rocking chair with babe on her lap, was watching the Late Show as I took a nap... When out of the east there rose such a clatter, I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter... Away to the window I flew like a flash, tore open the shutters and lifted the sash... When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but Angels proclaiming t…

Grandpa passed away two years ago and I miss him very much around the Christmas season. I thought of him the other day, as I sat down to enjoy a cup of coffee after decorating for Christmas around our house. I recalled a Christmas Eve from a few years back when we were all at Grandpa's house. The family was all sitting around the huge dining room table, talking, waiting to head out to the midnight service at church. Then someone noticed one of the lights out on Grandpa's Christmas tree. My oldest son, Bubba, (who fancies himself as somewhat of a specialist when it comes to Christmas lights), jumped up from the table exclaiming, "Don't wor…

I mentioned this song/poem in another post; thought I'd post the whole thing here. It explains in part why butterflies are special to me. I was like a butterfly before it has its wings buried in a cocoon so dark and drear. I didn't know about the sunshine waiting just outside, to chase away my darkness & my fears. But then one day my blinded eyes were opened; The Saviour drew me from my lonely grave. And through His Word I saw myself as He sees me, And heard Him say, I'll wash your sins away. Jesus has given me new life; Jesus is my Savior and my Friend. He drew me from the dark cocoon that I was living in, And …

~*KristiAnn*~ Though she has physical problems, & though her heart be compermized. The love in her heart is endless, & remain's unsized. Though the pain & discomfort & drugs make her, sad, sleepy & tired. Her heart of Gold, & is loved & admired. God made her a special mold, She has a unique story so I'm told. The warmth she receives, Helps when the worldly ways make it cold. Although, He brings us to our knee's, Who supply's us with our daily needs? It isn't the world with whom we can depend, For that will surely be our end. Remembering then, that all good things come from above. God send's us his love, through his…
