Why Wait Until Tomorrow? Another year is now over And there’s a new one on the way With some fresh New Year’s Resolutions And bright promises to make. So many things you wanted to do, So many bad habits to throw away. So many hopeful new horizons Just waiting over the way. All the could’ves, would’ves, should’ves And all the things you wanted to say. But – why wait until tomorrow, When you can begin today? Why wait for another year to pass by, For twelve more months to fly away? When God’s mercies are new every morning. He gives us a new beginning every day. So why wait until tomorrow, When you can begin anew today? P…

All My Springs Are In You Like the children of Israel, all my springs are in You, O Lord; You are the fount of living waters, my delight is in Your Word. You are all that I ever needed, all my desires are in You alone; You loved me from the beginning; Jesus – You are my eternal home. My life was so vain without You, and brought such emptiness and fear; From the whirlwind of confusion, in love and grace You drew me near: You reached down to lift me up, as You regarded my low estate; With the shield of Your salvation, Your gentleness hath made me great. This I recall to my mind, all of Your mercies which are from old; Perfect peace which flows li…

one of my friends was really sad and always crying, but it inspired this poem.(hes much better now)... The tears of life in my eyes, are as the rain, in the sky, the tears of joy, the happy moments of our lives, are often crushed by sadness, oh to be happy again, to cry those tears of joy once more, these tears i cry have changed, from sweet tears of joy, to tears of sinking sorrow, those tears are the tears of life, the tears in which i cry, many a day ill see a blurry vision, ill bring my hand up and find my eyes watery, wether they are happy or sad, i sometimes do not know, many atimes they are both, in this world of joys and sorrows, i dont kn…

Here is one of my earlier Christian poems told in the form of a story. Perhaps it will cause someone else to think about what road they are on in life: the Broad Way or the Narrow Way. If you are not sure you what road you are on, please make sure you are on the Narrow Road by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation. The Road – Part One The Rearview Mirror There’s a little Narrow Road that leads to life. You drive on past and say, “This is nice. This wide eight-laned Highway is just great!” Shifting gears, you speed on past the Narrow Gate. You head off into the distance, Down this winding Highway; On the roadside a sign is posted –…

Undertake For Me Jesus, I feel so overwhelmed – Won’t you undertake for me? Exchange these burdens of my heart For the sweetness of Your peace. I cast these cares upon You, Lord – I cannot hold them anymore; They are like the waves upon the sea, Relentless against the shore. I roll these troubles unto You, I cannot bear them though I’ve tried; I let them fall down around Your feet, With all these tears that I’ve cried. Exchange all these troubles, Lord, For the joy that is Yours alone, I place them all into Your arms, As I worship around Your throne. I will take Your yoke upon me, Jesus – Oh, it makes for such a lighter lo…

On Tour (On the Roman’s Road) The tour guide said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, on your left as we enter the Roman’s Road, please notice the shabby run-down shack just behind those trees. At one time it was the most influential, prominent building in Christendom; it was, and still is, the first stop on the Romans Road. It enjoyed great blessings, and rose to great heights, while the multitudes stopped by often, but it soon became unpopular, overrun by pride: It was called ‘the beginning’. Notice the crossroads here, the sign post reads 310 Depravity Avenue. There are none righteous here, we see mayhem and violence everywhere. Lock your doors, as it is not safe to even …

To Him That Overcometh There are wondrous rewards that the Bible has promised, There are precious crowns that are waiting to be won – But all the blessings that the Lord has offered, Are for those who are trusting by faith in God’s Son. There’s a world system that is risen up against us, Controlled by that wicked spirit, Satan, that hates our Lord; There’s a spiritual battle for our souls that is raging – But to give in to defeat or compromise we can’t afford. To be an overcomer means you trust the Saviour that has died; Upon your account of sin, His precious blood has been applied; When you place your faith in Jesus Christ and His death on C…

The King of Fools He did all the debauchery he could And seldom cared for what he should; He used his gifts for evil fuels, And soon became the king of fools. Every day became a charm With Satan’s delights, arm and arm; Never looking too far ahead, Toward Judgment Day--a day of dread. He said in his heart “There is no God” As on God’s earth he daily trod; By his actions and immoral ways, He denied the Lord, The “Length of Days“; Caring nil for man nor beast, He made evil his lovely feast-- Laid aside all good and right, Embraced the darkness every night. None can tell of all his ways The “charm” of evil, as sin decays; Will lead him to a foolish …

Just One Look Just one look to Jesus will bring healing to the soul; Just one look to Heaven and the heart will be made whole; Just one moment to see Him – just one glimpse of Him today; Falling in love with Jesus is only just one look away. One look away from the world, one look away from your sin, One look away from your idols – looking only unto Him; Just one look towards the Saviour, one turn away from the past, One heart reaching towards Jesus, looking only to Him at last. Just one look to Jesus, just the simple touch of faith; Just one heart that hungers for something real in its place; Just one conscience that senses there must be some…

[align=center]The White Feather Once upon a morning pretty And by a lake not near the city Two friends walked & there they talked In the misty dew afore rooster cocked A time before buds come forth on trees In early spring with still cool breeze She spoke of him & he of her Of feelings right, & good & pure Not so often and really quite rarely Could one ever feel such things so fairly Moments become minutes & minutes, hours Amidst the birds, & butterflies, & flowers As they spoke of times, & tunes & things A dove flew over flapping her wings As if in slow motion above she hovered They in a breathless moment she co…

Faith As A Grain Of Mustard Seed I don’t know if I have the courage To carry me through each day, But with faith as a grain of mustard seed, I know my Lord will make a way. With Jesus watching over me, I need not fear what lies ahead; I just seek the Saviour first of all, And He provides my daily bread. With His Spirit dwelling within my heart, I know I have all the help that I need; With groanings which cannot be uttered, He answers my heartfelt pleas. With so many mountains in my life - These dark cliffs of which I dread - With faith as a grain of mustard seed, I can move these mountains instead. It’s not the size of my fa…

When I was born, my Father above Looked down on me and showed me His love. He showed me His mercy that would never end If I would let Him be my friend. He told me of blessings I could receive If, on Him, I would only believe. I'm a little older, I now am five. The Lord above is still alive. He is up in Heaven watching over me; His glory shines around, as you can see. He tells me of blessings I could receive If, on Him, I would only believe. I'm now withing my teenage years. The Lord, over me, has shed many tears Because I have rejected him this long And because of the things I've done wrong. He tells me of blessings I could receive If, on Him, I would o…

Air is there all the time waiting for us to exhale then fill us and sustain our life. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are there all the time waiting for us to pray then fill us with abundant life. John 10:10 ...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

here is a poem that Dr. BOB Jones Sr. used to quote quite often. It is one of my favorites. I copied it from his biography, which is called "Builder of Bridges". Don't look so much at the style as the storyline: A Builder of Bridges An old man, traveling a lone highway, Came at the eventide cold and gray, To a chasm vast and deep and wide. The old man crossed in the twilight dim, The sullen stream held no fears for him, But he stopped when he reached the other side, And built a bridge to span the tide. “Old man”, said a fellow pilgrim near, “You are wasting your strength with building here; Your journey will end with the ending day, You never again wil…

In the world today filled with chaos and disaray We need to be riding for the brand and learning to pray. In the old west everyone knew the importance of a brand. It was the mark a rancher used to burn on his stock out on the open land. The term "Riding For The Brand' was an expression of loyalty to a man's employer. It was a compliment of the highest order. Christians should be riding for the two-one-two brand In order to stand tall across the land. The Two-One-Two brand is very direct and to the point. It signifies two nailed scared hands, one spear in His side, and two more nail scars in his feet. And this was done so that you and me He could anoint. Ridi…

Why Trouble The Master? Jairus’ daughter lay dying, but Jesus was near; He sought the Saviour for his loved one so dear. Before the journey ended, his daughter had died; The crowd now grew restless and someone soon cried, “Why trouble the Master? Your daughter is gone. There is no more hope here, for she has passed on.” Why trouble the Master, the Saviour of men? When it seems all is lost, marred and scarred by sin, He offers new beginnings, forgiveness, and grace; Jesus loves you so much, He died in your place. A fountain for cleansing, power from on high, A reason for living – hear the Master’s cry. Why trouble the Master, the Healer of…

Work with all your might, while the sun is still shining, Toil and plow the field with every inch of your strength: Let the Lord provide rain, and watch over your land: While you sow the good seeds everywhere on the earth. 'Tis ain't time to lust for flowers and the harvest: Nor chase after the delightful bounties of life: Let God run His course, and provide you in due time, Let the tree blossom her flowers while the time's right. Isn't our Shepherd coming back for us - His lambs? Can't you hear our bridegroom's voices in the distance? Make haste, servants, prepare all your gifts to our Lord: Soon the wolves shall show our Saviour no resistance. Shall we sl…

Thou God Seest Me Thou God seest me – You are the very God who sees The beginning and the end; Through all the trials I face in life, Jesus, You are my greatest Friend. Thou God seest me – You don’t just see all my situations, You truly know what’s in my heart; And despite all life’s complications, In wisdom, You know just where to start: Thou God seest me – You know my needs before I ask them; You strengthen me when I am weak; In my deepest times of sorrow, You provide the comfort that I seek. Thou God seest me – I need never fear for my future – You are already preparing the way; As a Shepherd, You are guiding, And my p…

In 2005, after my Mom died, I spent time with my family attempting to comfort them by preaching about her saving faith at her memorial. I came back so spiritually dry and thirsty from this time, and was unexpectedly empty. I came across these words in Isaiah during my very next Bible reading and they really soothed my soul. Isaiah 41:17-18 When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. As a resu…

Everything changes, but I stay the same Nothing remains to which I may lay claim Sorrowing, stumbling, crying alone All for mistakes for which I can't atone Loves me, HE carries me; another day gone Faithful and true as each day is long Walking, still walking, I'm still on my feet Never missing a trial, never missing a beat I stumble, I falter, HE's there to support me My LORD, and my friend, my GOD, the ALMIGHTY And pausing at last at this last abrupt end As my dizzying course finally comes to a halt What lines in this tale have yet to be penned? What race to be finished I have yet to start? The questions elude, and the years yet intrude It'…

Prophets of old long since foretold Of the grace to come through the eternal One Who'd die so all from death go free, and give them life eternally For our sins He paid the price, that the just Law did demand And it demanded sacrifice, the sacrifice-a sinless man He wondered that there was none else, yet mankind couldn't save themselves And come He did as so it seems, proved by great miracles and teachings The likes of which no one had seen, yet they still were unbelieving And as foretold by prophecy, they crucified and killed Him Condemned for nought in pain He stood, our sins paid for with our God's blood The path of pain was His to trod; both S…

The Lord's Deputy The Lord’s Deputy stands in the night, face covered by the darkness. At the ready the Lord’s Deputy stands, prepared to defend the weak, help the helpless, and protect the innocent. He knows the risk and understands the dangers around him. He knows he may have to pay the ultimate price, the ultimate sacrifice, he knows he may have to give his life. The Lord’s Deputy is not afraid. His heart is prepared; he is wearing his armor. The Armor is special, different from any other kind of armor ever fashioned. It is stronger than any bulletproof vest, harder than any helmet, more powerful than any weapon. The Lord’s Deputy wears this special ar…

Behold Your Saviour Behold the Man – the Perfect Man, The Promised Seed from days of old; The Son of Man who came from Heaven, As all My chosen prophets had foretold. Behold My Servant – with opened ears, Delighting to do all of My will; In the Volume of the Book it is written, All of My Law would He fulfill. Behold your King – the King of Kings, The Son of David ruling from on High; The Prince of Peace, the Lion of Judah, The Living Waters of Shiloh flowing by. Behold your God – the one True God, Your greatest need He would provide; This is My Son in whom I’m well pleased, This is the reason for which He died: Behold the La…

When The Enemy Comes In Like A Flood When the enemy comes in like a flood, Deliver me by Your mighty hand; With Your armour girded around me tight, Lord, teach me this day how to stand. Let me lift up a standard against them – The banner of Your great love; Let my enemies flee before Your face; Let them see my help comes from above! The name of the Lord is my strong tower; He is my Rock, my fortress, my shield; The Lord Jesus Christ is my great Deliverer – He bares His holy arm, and my enemies yield. When I hear the sound of a trumpet blowing, In my heart, I know there is a call to fight – But the battle is not mine alone to wage; …
