For those who don't know me, I use e-Sword for my KJV 1611 and of course my trusty KJV. So my riddles can come from either.. Here's an easy one for starters.. I am beautiful, don't you see Look up, look out. All around is me Water, water, not a drop to drink Oh poor Peter, in me did he sink Look at the trees, the colors, it's fall The gardens, the people, the day shines as God doth call The creatures on the shore, those that swim and those of the air be mindful to seperate the wheat and chaff, if one doth dare so many things to see all point to it's source, which is he. What part of the bible am I

Oh my precious T.J., oh how I miss you so, every since you have been missing, my mind, has never known where to go, ..... My thoughts and prayers are with you, through out my living years, but until you are found, my life will be full of tears..... Oh, how I miss you,and want to hold you tight, this world of the not knowing, living life without you, just doesn't seem right. .... Oh, how I love this little one, with all my heart and soul, I miss him every day and night, and the years have taken their toll. .... My little T.J., where ever will I find you, this question I have to ask everyday, and it always starts with the fresh morning de…

UNFOLDING THE ROSE A young, new preacher was walking with an older, more seasoned preacher in the garden one day and feeling a bit insecure about what God had for him to do, he was inquiring of the older preacher. The older preacher walked up to a rosebush and handed the young preacher a rosebud and told him to open it without tearing off any petals. The young preacher looked in disbelief at the older preacher and was trying to figure out what a rosebud could possibly have to do with his wanting to know the WILL OF GOD for his life and for his ministry. Because of his high respect for the older preacher, he proceeded to TRY to unfold the rose, while keeping e…

I need a bigger field, God. Things are crowding and nothing resembles what I planted. It's the adaptations needed which cause a conflict between roots and sky which leave me worried that I am not qualified to even gaze - waiting for blossoms to mature. I am overwhelmed. Strange, how when I ask of such things You grant just that. I trust in planting, stretch Spiritual Muscle, then rest too soon, expecting seasons of sunshine, all rains a warm mist, and insects interested in something else far away. My back aches from pulling. I bend from the waist, not wanting to get too dirty, too close to the soil. Then why this thought?~

Eagle Wings Eagle wings, sturdy strong. Shaking, I'm curled tightly where I belong - So close! Your feathers brush against my hair - Protected; I see life everywhere rush by, not at an unusual pace. Why do I wince? Here, Your Peace surrounds a place where I can rest, assured...yet still cry - Amazing, Your care! With wing You have captured each sigh that has leaked from my soul when I've forgotten my way, yet you know dependence is seeded here under Your wings. Lord, here is where I want to start. Or end, completed... please, renew my heart. Eagle wings, sturdy and strong yes, I'm curled tightly beneath them - this is where I belon…

The beautiful early Spring day nagged me out for a walk. Down the street I went, a nice easy pace, breathing deeply the heady fragrances of industrious neighbors mowing their lawns. The sun, warm, teased through the first dressing of finest leafed trees and brindled the bright sidewalk with cool shadow. Amy, my neighbor's daughter, (too young for school), was preoccupied with something which claimed earth or stone as home. Digging deep with a broken twig, her tongue stuck out at the side of her lips. Deep in concentration, she suddenly dropped the twig, and carefully lifted a tiny creature off of the ground, placed it gently in her palmed hand, and slowly stood. I cou…

I have heard of you, rose. Crossed your path countless times - often brushing up against your leafs. Patient, you face the sun, lifting to catch rain... a quiet pursuit, even in want. "Stop, for a moment? Inhale, capture this texture meant to share?" you ask. Yet, I worry of thorns, have a different agenda - one of protection. Emotions slow... capturing under my lids an image which does not want to settle - of your life now. What I see within your autumn branches is only a glimmer, sparkled from true color by the Sunset low, calling. What I see within your autumn branches is not a budded flower, waiting - but thorns, sharp, and I am sud…

My Hiding Place Hail, sovereign love, which first began; The scheme to rescue fallen man! Hail, matchless, free, eternal grace, Which gave my soul a hiding place. Against the GOD that built the sky I fought with hands uplifted high, Despised the mention of His grace, Too proud to seek a hiding place. Enwrapt in thick Egyptian night, And fond of darkness more than light, Madly I ran the sinful race, Secure - without a hiding place! But thus the eternal counsel ran; Almighty love, arrest that man! I felt the arrows of distress, And found I had no hiding place. Indignant justice stood in view; To Sinai's fiery mount I flew; But justice cri…

Lessons In The Valley "I have been through the valley of weeping, The valley of sorrow and pain; But the 'God of all comfort' was with me, At hand to uphold and sustain. "As the earth needs the clouds and sunshine, Our souls need both sorrow and joy; So He places us oft in the furnace, The dross from the gold to destroy. "When He leads thro' some valley of trouble His omnipotent hand we trace; For the trials and sorrows He sends us, Are part of His lessons in grace. "Oft we shrink from the purging and pruning, Forgetting the Husbandman knows That the deeper the cutting and paring, The richer the cluster that grows. "Well He knows tha…

I've been writing since '68. Here is a sample. The Rock The rock! The rock! The forces of evil rage Around me like a wildfire! Fears, doubts, and failures Howl fiercely within me, But I will stand. I WILL STAND On the Rock, on the Rock! That Rock is Jesus!! July 15, 2000 Death Of A Marriage When men abdicate And women pontificate Nerves begin to grate Actions agitate, irritate, and aggravate Angry words proliferate So they bicarbonate and medicate Until they separate In a fit of hate From the one they chose as a mate Thus their family they decimate By swallowing satan

Adam's Sin

Adam sold us out to sin, but Jesus bought us back again Sin has made each man a slave, Jesus came to Earth to save. In the garden Mother Eve By temptation was deceived, Satan filled her head with lies, He's the father of all pride. On the cross Jesus died, to save a wretch like me, He paid the precious price, to set every sinner free, Someday I'll meet Him face to face, and thank Him for His loving grace, I want to bow down on my knees, and praise Him thru eternity, If you'll bow down on your knees, and you'll ask Jesus please, He'll wash away your every sin, Brother you'll be born again. If you'll bow down on your knees, and ask Him Jesus p…

The eternal fight, the fight to be free Striving to gain more liberty Yet the aftereffect is a tale of woe Empires fall by a single fell blow GOD watches above, HIS face filled with pain As men once thought noble now prove they're quite vain Wars are soon fought, cruel deeds are done Freedom looks hopeless, clouds shadow the sun Brother fights brother, they die on the plain Weapons of war show their faces again Devils and demons fly through the air Showering misery, death, and despair Yet suddenly light shines through again And all shrink away made of evil and sin GOD in HIS glory stands there revealed Devils shrink away but their fates are s…

one of my friends was really sad and always crying, but it inspired this poem.(hes much better now)... The tears of life in my eyes, are as the rain, in the sky, the tears of joy, the happy moments of our lives, are often crushed by sadness, oh to be happy again, to cry those tears of joy once more, these tears i cry have changed, from sweet tears of joy, to tears of sinking sorrow, those tears are the tears of life, the tears in which i cry, many a day ill see a blurry vision, ill bring my hand up and find my eyes watery, wether they are happy or sad, i sometimes do not know, many atimes they are both, in this world of joys and sorrows, i dont kn…

heres another poem the mask you look at me and you see a smile on my face, happy about everything, a laugh always upon my lips, a look that can only say i love you. this is a mask, a mask to hide a wall, a wall to hide my true self, a sad soul, crying day and night, to hide a broken heart, the broken dreams, the hopes shattered, but i wear this mask, to cover the death on the inside, the horrible things, the hurts, many a times i ask God "why me?"

War, strife, and misery, of which the world's quite full Despite the words and promises each day we grow more cruel. A war that's fought, one we can't win Only GOD can cleanse us of our sin. We fight to live, and yet we die And many people never try Of winning and of losing, each day is but a game Each move we make decides our fate and no life is the same The Bible's here and many read but few will ever learn Though knowledge is remembered, the wisdom we do burn The sun will rise, the sun will set Each day we grow more in GOD's debt A fire rages, wars are fought Time spent on fighting, not on thought We fight to win, we know the cost And figh…

Everything changes, but I stay the same Nothing remains to which I may lay claim Sorrowing, stumbling, crying alone All for mistakes for which I can't atone Loves me, HE carries me; another day gone Faithful and true as each day is long Walking, still walking, I'm still on my feet Never missing a trial, never missing a beat I stumble, I falter, HE's there to support me My LORD, and my friend, my GOD, the ALMIGHTY And pausing at last at this last abrupt end As my dizzying course finally comes to a halt What lines in this tale have yet to be penned? What race to be finished I have yet to start? The questions elude, and the years yet intrude It'…
