How does an 10 (at the time) year old have the sort of relations necessary to producing a child? conceive and then rear that child? Heartbreaking. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. (Pro 30:12 KJV) Link

17 Afghans beheaded in insurgent attack on party KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — Insurgents beheaded 17 civilians in a Taliban-controlled area of southern Afghanistan, apparently because they attended a dance party that flouted the extreme brand of Islam embraced by the militants, officials said Monday. The killings, in a district where U.S. Marines have battled the Taliban for years, were a reminder of how much power the insurgent group still wields in the south — particularly as international forces draw down and hand areas over to Afghan forces. The victims were part of a large group that had gathered late Sunday in Helmand province's Musa Qala district for a celebration…

1st Amendment protects military funeral protesters 1 hr 29 mins ago WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that the First Amendment protects fundamentalist church members who mount anti-gay protests outside military funerals, despite the pain they cause grieving families. The court voted 8-1 in favor of the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan. MEXICO CITY – A couple with ties to North Texas was murdered in Mexico on Tuesday. Family members think they were the victims of drug violence. Valerie Alirez, the eldest child of John Casias, told The Associated Press from her home in Greeley, Colorado, that one of her brothers found her father and stepmother Tuesday dead in their home in Santiago, Nuevo Leon. The family was originally from Amarillo, Texas, but Alirez said her father and stepmother moved to Mexico in 1979 and made it their home. John Casias was a Baptist preacher and the couple ran the First Fundamentalist Independent Baptist Church in Santiago, she said. Read more: http://www.foxnew…

Gary Hunley had seen it all before. As he surveyed the damage left behind from last Monday's EF5 tornado in Moore, Okla., he saw an all-too-familiar scene of overturned cars, metal signposts bent to the ground and houses reduced to rubble. Almost two years to the day before the historic Moore tornado, Hunley's home was destroyed by an equally historic tornado in Joplin, Mo., which killed 158 people. View the full article
