Evangelical Lutheran leader suggests Bible not the final authority Well, they're not by their self, the Episcopal Church feels just like them, there be few who believe that the Bible and God be the final authority. I feel we have many who hate authority, and that is one reason this is happening with so many churches and Christians rejecting God's authority.

No I didn't watch the padgent nor the judging. I did see the interview of Miss California on NBC this morning. She was asked if she was in favor of same sex marriage in view of 4 states passing same sex marriage laws, by an openly sodomite judge of the pagent. She answered that she did not favor same sex marriage and believed marriage is between one man and one woman. In accordance with the way she was raised as a Christian. She did not compromise her beliefe in God and the Bible just to win the Miss USA crown. The judge when interviewed said it did most likely cost her the contest as did Donald Trump the pagent organizer. http://foxforum.blogs.foxnews.com/200…

Will Graham Fest Draws 12,000 People in Alabama Auburn University this past Sunday, March 28, 2010, held a three-night event with evangelist Will Graham (grandson of Billy Graham). This event supposedly saw hundreds of people commit their lives to Christ over the course of the weekend. Throughout the event Graham was encouraging the people to think about salvation in relation to their own lives. "Truth is not an idea. Truth is a person: the person of Jesus Christ." Graham is correct in this statement. Truth is found in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. However, I must question how much truth was truly proclaimed at what appears to be nothing more than a three-day roc…

"Scholarly discussion over the papyrus — which contains the phrase “Jesus said to them, “My wife ...” — has been intense since a Harvard scholar, Karen L. King, presented it as a fragment of a fourth-century gospel at an international conference of Coptic scholars this month in Rome." http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/29/world/europe/vatican-says-papyrus-referring-to-jesus-wife-is-probably-fake.html?_r=0 If this was proven true would it be such a big issue that Jesus was married? I can see with the Catholics it would since they practice celibacy to mimic Jesus. It's interesting maybe more to me then others.

An online petition has been launched over revelations that the popular evangelical-owned fast food restaurant Chick-fil-A is listed as a sponsor of a faith-based homosexual film and arts festival. Level Ground began as a student-organized event in 2013, and was touted as the “world’s first faith-based LGBT film festival.” It has since expanded to six cities across the country and includes not only film, but music, theater, visual arts, comedy, and various workshops with the goal of “elevating the public discourse around the otherwise polarizing topics of gender identity and human sexuality.” “The Level Ground Festival draws a unique audience that reflects the full spectru…

Benediction 1 2 3

I didn't watch the inauguration...but my sister gave me a heads up on the benediction prayer. Anyone hear that? I read it online and the last paragraph was not only "not really a prayer" but it was extremely racist. Don't be fooled by Rick Warren...the benediction showed what the true next four years will be like.

Winkler murder 1 2

Saw in Fox News that Winkler is home and has full custody of all her children. She spent a grand total of 12 days in jail and 2 years in psychiatric care. I can't help but think she got off easy because she claimed her preacher husband mentally and emotionally abused her. I guess we really don't know, maybe he did....but still....seems like religion played a part in getting extra sympathy (anti religious sympathy) from the jury. I always think of those Thompson brothers stuck in prison for decades down in Texas when women like this get off SO easy..... wow.

Bradley Manning and the Case Against Solitary Confinement What is the purpose of this treatment? There is no further "anti-terrorist "information to get from him. Why has he not been tried? Is it because he has not committed any legal offence? Is it simple to warn others with access to classified information that they too will be subjected to the torture of solitary confinement without trial or conviction? Is the state working on legislation in order to invent laws under which he can be found guilty? Where is Christian compassion? Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to …

Has anyone else heard about the IFB missionary to Lithuania who murdered his wife in Peoria, IL in January or February? This is not gossip this has been in the local news. He has three children. They were on furlough at her parents from Lithuania. He had a long time mistress he was supporting with missionary money for her apartment and education! Wife left a letter that if anything happened to her it was her husband that did it. His last name was Leuthold. My church supported him but has stopped.

This is a petition to the British Govt so you probably cannot enter it but I put it here as a news item. The 38-year-old student and father of four, Felix Ngole, has recently been expelled from his course of study by the University of Sheffield because of a Facebook post he shared which expressed his disagreement with same-sex “marriage”. Felix made the comments last September on his facebook page in relation to Kim Davis, the marriage clerk from Kentucky who refused to issue a marriage licence to a same-sex couple. He defended her freedom of conscience and in the course of discussion expressed his view on the Bible’s teaching on sexual ethics. …

The American people are so easily fooled by the rich. Donald Trump got rich and successful by his cunning, not his wisdom. When I contemplate his tough talk on foreign policy and his bellicosity and his lack of wisdom I fear his finger on the nuclear button. I think the only candidate running in either party that would not go to war with Russia (on purpose or by accident) is Bernie Sanders. Do I think Bernie Sanders would be good for America? NO WAY! I find myself in the same position I was in at the last election. Ain't none of them fools gonna' buy my vote. http://www.wnd.com/2015/08/donald-trump-warrior-male-extraordinaire/

http://www.examiner.com/article/obama-snoops-part-2-infiltrate-target-harass-churches Basically, the government put their people in some large, mainstream Christian churches to spy on them and see if they were anti-Obama. Freedom of speech has been over for longer than we've imagined it to be. It's probably just a matter of time before they start checking out the smaller churches as well.

We never learn from history. We spent 88 Billion and got nothing. It was so predictable. Taliban fighters entered the outskirts of the Afghan capital on Sunday and said they were awaiting a "peaceful transfer" of the city after promising not to take it by force, but panicked residents raced to the leave, with workers fleeing government offices and helicopters landing at the U.S. Embassy. https://www.npr.org/2021/08/15/1027806863/the-taliban-seize-jalalabad-cutting-off-kabul-to-the-east

I'm sitting right now in my office as the principal of a Christian school. Outside the window of my office is the gym, and I can hear the student on break. They are playing, laughing, running and being children, as children should. On my right hip, covered up by a jacket, is a Kimber Warrior .45acp. On my left hip is a spare mag. At any time during the week there may be in the building as many as three of us with handguns on our person. We are a school with a total of 47 students. These handguns are tucked away behind suit coats or jackets or sweaters, depending on the individual's clothing style. They are never shown, flashed or discussed in front of the students, but th…

Top Tier 2nd Amendment CandidatesTo earn a spot in our top tier, candidates need to not only have a strong track record of supporting the Second Amendment rights of American citizens, but need to be not just gun owners themselves, but real shooters… not just on the campaign trail, or in theory. Rick Perry (R) — The two-term governor of Texas not only spends a lot of time on the gun range with his collection of firearms, but has been known to carry a concealed handgun, which he’s famously used to shoot and kill a coyote that threatened his dog during a morning run. He would seem to easily have more trigger time than any other candidate, and has a solid pro-gun record in of…

Undocumented student's arrest called part of 'civil rights disaster "In a statement Wednesday night, COBb County Sheriff Neil Warren said, "Ms. Colotl knew that she was in the United States without authority to be here and voluntarily chose to operate a vehicle without a driver's license, which is a violation of Georgia law. She has further complicated her situation with her blatant disregard for Georgia law by giving false information." "It is OBvious from all the documents that I've seen that she has done nothing wrong and has given her proper address to COBb County and immigration officials," said Chris Taylor, Colotl's criminal attorney. "There has been no crime…
