Southern Baptist Convention President Fred Luter challenged the group to follow Jesus and be known for evangelism, discipleship and concern for the lost, in his opening address at the February meeting of the SBC Executive Committee in Nashville. I agree, "Don't ask, don't tell" is a stupid policy. The military's policy should never have changed and should still be that those openly pushing their sinful behavior should be dishonorably discharged. http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/09/09/dont.ask.dont.tell/index.html?hpt=T2 Why does the World's crowd think they have to shove everything sexual down everyone else's throats. I don't go about discussing my intimate relationship with my wife with co-workers, family, friends or any other person. Why do some think they have a constitutional right to do so? If a homosexual wants to server in the military, fine. Just keep your mouth shut about your sexual perversion and d…

'Don't ask, don't tell' repeal: Will there be political fallout? Its now a done deal. Its now a done deal, and our president said, “I couldn’t be prouder,” said Mr. OBama of the repeal of the current “don’t ask don’t tell” policy. The repeal law, he said, "will strengthen our national security and uphold the ideals that our fighting men and women risk their lives to defend." Actually its another step in turning America from God so will it really strengthen our national security? Who can you stand against while God is not on their side. Does God defend those who oppose Him or dies He bring judgment on them? Is America actually as good as many Christians proclaim? Bef…

'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson talks values, family in new book I surely wish he was a Baptist, & not a coC. The coC teach their people to be good people, yet it sure would be nice if they would actually teach the how to be saved, instead of teaching them to count on baptizing & good works.

Nabeel's life used to be all about showing others he was "an ambassador for Islam." The grandson of Muslim missionaries, Nabeel loved to argue in defense of his religion. And then he unexpectedly befriended a Christian who helped lead him to faith in Jesus. Nabeel shared his story during the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina's evangelism conference at Pleasant Garden (N.C.) Baptist Church. The conference theme was "Culture Reach: Understanding, Loving and Relating to Muslims." View the full article

'Move beyond fear': Planned Quran burning is religious stupidity By Leo Frade, September 08, 2010 [Episcopal News Service] How can anyone think that an act of hate and religious fanaticism -- the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 -- can somehow be redeemed by an act of intolerance and religious stupidity? I have been trying to decide whether Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove Center in Gainesville, who is planning to burn copies of the Quran on Sept. 11, has any idea of how much harm and persecution his action will bring upon Christians living around the world -- and specifically those living in countries with a majority Muslim population. I have traveled extensively in…
