Benton Police investigating 100 vase thefts from cemetery Our world has plenty of thieves, and they will steal anything. Recently on the news somewhere around Shreveport, LA, a man and his girlfriend stole copper wire from the power company. They cut high-line poles down, the stripped all the copper wire. The power company said it would cost them about $20,000 to replace the poles and line. This was in a rural area and thankfully the power was not on. They caught them by checking our sjunk yards, they sold it for several thousand dollars. Not long back a large church at Conway, AR had all of its outside air conditioning units stolen, I believe they said 6 units gon…

Huckabee says he won't run for president By ANDREW DeMILLO, Associated Press – 2 mins ago LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said Saturday he won't seek the Republican presidential nomination, choosing to stick with a lucrative career as a television and radio personality over a race that would be both costly and caustic. "All the factors say go, but my heart says no," Huckabee, the winner of the 2008 Iowa caucuses, said on his Fox News Channel show. Huckabee's decision further muddies the GOP field as the Republican Party seeks a challenger for President Barack Obama. A prominent social conservative, he ranks high in national popularity p…

Pakistan lawmakers slam US after session with army By MUNIR AHMED, Associated Press – 9 mins ago ISLAMABAD – Members of Pakistan's Parliament slammed the United States on Saturday for the raid that killed al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden on their soil, but also demanded that an independent commission probe the debacle instead of one led by the country's powerful armed forces. The parliamentary resolution followed a rare, private session with top military officials that began Friday and ran past midnight. During the session, Pakistani intelligence chief Lt. Gen. Ahmed Shuja Pasha indicated he'd be willing to resign if lawmakers demanded it, but no one did. In fact…

U.S. Scrutinized Ensign, but Senate Dug Deeper There's way to much of this type of stuff taking place, with the politician getting away with it. How can we have any confidence in our government. Plus, they fail to police their self. I feel they fail for they fear their day might come. Plus the seasoned politicians has to many in his corner that owes him favors, while knowing how to beat the laws of this nation. And notice how long this has been known about him, with nothing done.

Navy Says Chaplains May Perform Same-Sex Unions "The military would not compel chaplains to perform a same-sex marriage if it would be against their religious beliefs." I have to wonder if this is true. I remember sometime back some got in much trouble for ending prayer by saying, "In Jesus' name I pray, Amen." Plus, what happens when the only Chaplin s that are available is those that marrying homosexuals was against his beliefs? Would they them be forced?

GOP's Gingrich running for president By SHANNON McCAFFREY, Associated Press – 47 mins ago ATLANTA – Newt Gingrich is running for president. The former House speaker disclosed his bid on Twitter and Facebook on Monday and urged followers to tune into Fox News on Wednesday. "I will be on to talk about my run for president of the United States," Gingrich wrote after spending a year or more publicly laying the groundwork for a GOP presidential candidacy. "I have been humbled by all the encouragement you have given me to run." The move was hardly a surprise; Gingrich has spent months raising money, assembling a campaign team and visiting early primary states. He also…

Only one of five people killed during bin Laden raid was armed And most are praising the Navy Seals for doing a perfect job. That will generate even more hate for America. So sad, 4 unarmed people killed. And many Americans are celebrating.

White House Wants to Track and Tax Your Mileage "Conservative economists, commentators, and politicians are blasting a draft Obama administration plan that envisions using Big Brother-like tracking devices on private cars to tax drivers on how many miles they travel. The new tax scheme, designed to help fund transportation spending, would determine your mileage by installing electronic equipment on your car. This would involve monitoring your location and how far you’ve traveled." Big brother wants to get bigger, and know everyplace you go in your car. Amazing, big brother wants cameras every where to take pictures of you, plus he wants to know where your car is …

:woohoo: For all y'all south of the border, there is some exciting news coming from the Great White North! We had ourselves an election yesterday, and came out with a Conservative majority government. Praise the Lord! It was actually quite the upheaval in Canadian politics. The ever-strong Liberal party got thoroughly trounced, and the socialist NDP has emerged as the official Opposition for the next term. Okay, that's going to be a little weird... This is the third term for our prime minister, Stephen Harper. He is a Christian, and strongly supports Israel. I am so glad and thankful that God has given him a majority government for a time. The outcome…

Rasmussen: Huckabee Dropping Out Will Help Dark Horse Emerge If true that will change things. I have thought that Mr. Huckabee might be pleased with his position and present time, making more money that ever, being in the limelight with a show of Fox, with all his invitations to give speeches. And maybe he fears no one can beat Mr. Obama, if so, he drops out, He would still have opportunities to run. Plus dropping out, one of the others might ask him to run with them and be their vice president. If he teamed up with Mr. Trump, that might make for a strong run that would beat Mr. Obama. Yet, between now and them many surprises can come out.
