Everything I've read from the Pr-Trib Rapture position says the Antichrist won't be revealed until after the Rapture. While some differ as to what point during The Tribulation the Antichrist will be revealed, most I've read point to a time around the mid-point of the Tribulation. After considering the following verses I was reading today I don't see how that view fits with what's said here: 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 King James Version (KJV) 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except…

Which is the proper spelling, "Twiddle" your thumbs, or "twittle" your thumbs? Take a guess before you look it up! Which is proper--"He rang the bell", or "He rung the bell"?

We have the topic about the couple whose having their 18th child. So do you think about this. A family has many children, but can't afford to feed them and clothe them, so the government pays the way for their children. Do you think that is proper? One thing that got me about the Mormons who have many wife's and lots of children, many of them get government assistance to care for their large family that they cannot afford to take care of.

1 Chronicles 16:9 "Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works." Thanksgiving is coming up in just a few days (22 to be exact). What are you thankful for? I thought it would be neat to list something each day - count our blessings. I'm sure we can all come up with 22 of them, right? I am thankful for so much. With the loss of my grandmother recently, I was going through pictures and remembering...I praise the Lord for allowing my grandmother to be a part of my life for so long. That is a blessing that just doesn't have words to describe.

The forum Bible study on 2 & 3 John has now officially begun. To begin let us consider the following questions: 1. What are the primary themes of subject matter in 2 John? 2. In what verses of 2 John do we find each of these primary themes presented? 3. What are the primary themes of subject matter in 3 John? 4. In what verses of 3 John do we find each of these primary themes presented? (Note: I myself DO have thoughts in answer to the above questions; but I shall wait for other contributions before I present them, so that I myself do not simply dominate everything.)

What a conundrum! That preacher that wants to burn the Koran in the church yard, what do you think he should do? A tough call. I like the idea of burning that heathen ungodly book, that promotes a false god, but at the possible jeopardy of our troops? I don't know! Indeed a tough call. What would you do?

I've always heard different groups say both good and bad about Billy Graham. What I have noticed here on OB is that many are very quick to either uphold him entirely or throw him quickly to the chopping block. So.......I'm am curious who will share appropriately and tastefully their personal thoughts and beliefs about Billy Graham and be willing to share both the things they like and dislike about him. I hope to bring up several different people in threads to come, but will start with him.

Anyone else here on OB likely to be directly effected by Gustav? We are gonna be gettin outta here and going north...north to where exactly we don't know. We are praying that we'll be able to return to a house that is still livable. The school my husband works at is making preparations to turn into a shelter.

This should bring a few posts, I hope......I need some help on the subject. I need to hear views from all Preachers and anyone familiar with this subject. I'm trying to reach some hispanic people that I am associated with at work and I want to tell them the truth about our Baptist heritage and faith. I've heard some preachers in our IFB Churches say that the Baptist were here long before the Catholic Reformation. Therefore, the Baptists (or ana-baptist) are not of the Protestants movement of the Catholic Church (Baptist were here approx. 1200 years before the Protestant Reformation). These preachers say the breakoffs of the Catholic church include many denominatio…

Is anyone giving up anything for the season of Lent? My wife and I have decided to completely turn off our television for the next 40 days to focus on God. For the most part, I think I can do it, but there is one show that I love that is difficult to give up for 40 days.
