The last few months or so, I have partaken in many discussions on some other forums. One popular forum it seems that all they are concerned with is who can quote the most scholars on a particular topic: "Yes I know Dr Such N. Sutch said that, but Dr Doctor has a better book". It's like watching the classic kid game of "my daddy is better than your daddy". Then on another popular Baptist forum, I got called everything but a child of God on my first post! LOL Not to mention that because I am Jewish, I got called a terrorist and then, an administrator shut the thread down because I pointed out that an article posted was from an Aryan and Klan website. A Baptist site that…

This is the last time I can get on until I get back. I just wanted to say thanks for all the prayers that have gone up fo Grandpa. It has been and will be an extremely difficult battle and path. One of which I do not wish to go down again. It is a roller coaster ride. Right now we are waiting to see if his pancreas has quit working. He can go into a diabetic coma any time now. Any ways thank you all so much for being such an encouragment. I could have never even started this path as easy if it had not been for some of you. Brandon you will never know what an encouragment you were to me during school my whole class was as a whole. But thank you so much. I know I…

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,433788,00.html Have to brush up on my math skills so I can dose my younger kids correctly when they can't sleep at night due to a bad cold. LOL. My 3 yo already takes 2-3 adult Benadryl pills a day for his urticaria. Plus two adult sized Claritin pills and two adult sized Pepcid pills per day. Antihistamines are very safe...however man these parents must be SO idiotic to overdose their kids. Sheesh.

Since there is no forum for outlines, I am posting this here. Mods, feel free to move it if need be. 1Th 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. IN Everything... At all times; everywhere; in all trails and afflictions. Give thanks... Do what? Give. Give what? Thanks; rendering the sacrifice of our lips For this... The giving of thanks; "This" can refer to that which we are to be thankful for. The will of God... That which we are to give thanks for is the will of God for us. It is the will of Gid that we be thankful in all our ways, and at all times, no matter what befalls us. In Christ Jesus... In Who…

Is anyone else tired of the "turkey day" signs, ads and talk? They try so hard to take Christ out of Christmas and to take Thanksgiving out of Thanksgiving Day! I'm thankful my Heavenly Father loved me enough to send His own son to pay the price required so that I might be saved and become an adopted son of God! I'm thankful for turkey for food, and all the other food our God has blessed us with, but turkey in and of itself is hardly worth a holiday. I make it a point to point out to those who mention "turkey day" that it's actually Thanksgiving Day and it's not about the food but about giving thanks to God for all His blessings in our lives.

I was just wondering what folks have planned for Thanksgiving? We will be having our family dinner, as usual. My sister has a boyfriend, so she and her youngest daughter won't be here. But my oldest niece, her boyfriend, my niece, our son, my hubs, and my mom will be here. And my oldest brother is going to try and make it. If he does, we'll be giving him his Christmas presents because he won't be here for Christmas. The night before we will be having a thanks giving service at church. The day after I'll start decorating for Christmas. ?

How many teach their children about to watch the sky for that mystical man in the red suit? Teaching them to believe in him, yet never teaching about the One who truly will descend from the heavens one day for His own. And I'm thinking many that call their self Christians that attends church services quite often.

Did I hear someone complaining, that’s not fair? How would you like for God to deal with you in a fair manner? Ps 103:10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. Remember, if God dealt with you fairly both mercy & grace would be thrown out.

The “Burning Bush” Exodus 3: 1-5 Have you had a “burning bush” experience? A burning bush would of necessity, give off light. Does your life emit light? Jesus said “Ye are the light of the world”.. but are you allowing Him to burn through you? Do you “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Mt. 5: 16). If not, you should! A “burning Bush” experience does not burn out; “And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.” (Ex. 3:2). The bush “was not consum…

A Brief (and by no means exhaustive) Summary of Passages Contained Within "The Message" by Eugene Peterson Which Directly Compromise Fundamental Tenets of Orthodox Christianity What follows is a comparison/contrast and analysis of several well –known passages as found in major translations such as the KJV, NASB, and NIV as well as these same passages as found in The Message authored by Eugene Peterson. Any intellectually honest assessment of the following notes leads to the inescapable conclusion that The Message compromises some of the fundamental doctrines of orthodox Christianity. I began this study when I was made aware that the high school seniors of a nearby c…

I just saw a news article on Yahoo! talking about three of the 3rd Party Candidates holding a debate. It said it was happening tonight. I'm gonna see if I can find it on youtube, and post a link if I can. Might be interesting to hear what the other presidential candidates have to say, even if it's a longshot of them winning.

For all practical purposes Israel is America’s 51st State. The US gives Israel 10’s of $billions of dollars each year and yet American Citizen’s did not vote for this. What’s up? The US could pay off its national debt with this money. I think it is time for a national vote on this. Either we bring in Israel as our 51st State and they pay their fair share or we stop the $billions in handouts. How do you vote-?

If you had to choose one word or phrase from the Gospels that described something about Jesus Himself or something He did during His ministry that you found so encouraging or faith strengthening, what would it be? Two things come to mind as I type this: 1) Many times in the Gospels it says that Jesus “had compassion” on those around Him. My favourite example of this is the healing of the leper in Mark 1:40-42. I actually wrote a song (lyrics anyway) about that passage. Be Thou Clean Mark 1:40-42 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, move…

Darwin once said that if anything was found that could not possibly be formed by gradual change and evolving, it would destroy the theory of evolution. Of course, that's not a direct quote, but the spirit of it is there. Well, in Darwin's time, the cell was a locked box, a black box that could be discerned, but not clearly viewed, so it was considered a simple structure; the term, "Simple, singe-celled organism' came to refer to the least complicated form of life known. Of course, since then, the cell has been quite well investigated, and what has been found is not only NOT simple, it is amazingly complex and organized, with multiple activities occurring simult…

I'm sure many of you have heard about the California school that sent kids home from school because they had on American Flag apparel on Cinco de Mayo. This was done after complaints that t-shirts worn by them were provocative and deemed incendiary. America is a melting pot and should remain that way. I'm proud to be an American and I am proud that our nation is made up of all races and cultures. I love watching people get their american citizenship. We have prOBlems at the borders of this country and they are not there to keep people in, but rather to keep people out. Every time I see the American Flag it reminds me of the opportunity that it gave millions of people to…

Today, I received in the mail, a quilt that I had not seen since 1983. It was given to me that winter by a person who remains anonymous to this day. And the wierdest part of it all, is the fact that I never saw this person, nor did the person leave any footprints in the snow that had fallen overnight. The quilt was mailed to me after I had left it with friends on whose property I was when I received it. Let me relate the story as best I remember. But first, I must make this disclaimer... I do not worship angels, nor do I revere the quilt as being a relic to be seen as something to be idolized. But the origin of the quilt remains a mystery to this day, thirty-two y…
