Because I may not be on here over the weekend, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas a few days early! Though this has been a strange year for many of us, we know the Lord has used everything that has transpired during 2022 in our lives to try and help us to become the children of God that we need to be. I pray you all remember the true meaning of Christmas, and are thankful for His coming to earth to free us from sin. Of course, with his birth, his true purpose was known, his death and the shedding of his blood to cleanse us from our sin, the ressurection to guarantee the victory over death and new life for us, and the ressurection to "go and prepare a place" f…

Jude.1 [11] Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

My wife and I have been asked many times to consider doing audiobook narration or voiceover work. I used to do the tapes for peoples answering machines way back in the 1970s and 80s, but not many people use the old styled answering machines any longer. I used to make some good money to do this. It helped pay my way to church camp several times. We have a few friends and a couple of relatives who have done on or the other of these two, and other friends who have done podcasting as well. We're considering doing all three to help get my wife out of corporate abuse (they keep changing the hours of operation for her shift back and forth...from five eight hour days to four 10 h…

The moderator's and administrators here, are very fair. They have to deal with Christians, that have been raised in a totally different back ground. Many times, they probably hope that I would just stop posting. But they have not banned me yet. Yes, many warnings. I try to follow the rules, to my best of my ability. Thanks, and welcome aboard. E. I know that many here will say, no Christians cannot support abortions, but at the same time, there are voting for a president that support abortions, I’m a bit confused. How can you support one, and not the other.

I have handled many Bibles in my hands and often enjoyed certain sizes and thicknesses of certain Bibles and the feeling of certain leathers and wondered if anyone here has the same experience. Do you have a favorite style or publisher or cover material that just makes your Bible the 'cats-meow' to you?

I'm trying not to shop at stores that use my money to support sin (homosexuality, abortion ect.) So I left Home Depot and started going to Lowes. I was at the checkout with my new compost bin and I noticed they were selling pink Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation gardening tools and garden flags. (sigh) I just can't win.

For the most part, I've stopped sitting before a broadcast of 'the news' whether its TV or an Internet source. Mostly, I read my news from WND https://www.wnd.com/ and may play embedded videos they have from other media sources. Again, however, I primarily read their articles. Does anyone else use WND or other similar news sources?

23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. 24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. 26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, an…

In the Bible, numbers often have a symbolic meaning, depending upon its usage throughout the Scriptures. For example, the number nine or nine things is often a picture of fruitfulness. This is the best example of that: Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Of course, I do not want to force a meaning into a passage because the number nine is used or there are nine things listed, but what other passages have you seen that list nine things and could perhaps illustrate fruit in some way? Some other examples I had listed on some of the margins …

I have read some comments by commentators over the years that when the Bible uses the term "up" or "down" as a direction (like, going up to Jerusalem, down to the wilderness, down to the coast, etc.) that it is referring to elevation. Has anyone ever studied this out? I was reading a commentary on the life of David a couple of days ago, and the author pointed out the word down in this verse: 1 Samuel 25:1 And Samuel died; and all the Israelites were gathered together, and lamented him, and buried him in his house at Ramah. And David arose, and went down to the wilderness of Paran. Then he proceeded to teach on the "downward" course (using this term as his spring…

I sure would like for input about this organization from OB. Didn't this used to be 'Campus Crusade For Christ'? I believe it's hooked up with the Prebyterians who except homosexual marriage, is that true? Please help, as a board member, considering to support a graduate from college (attends our local church) I need to know some quick facts. Thanks, Dave

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts they would like to share regarding Satan being in Eden, as portrayed in the book of Ezekiel. I was thinking specifically about the difference that we see between the garden of Eden as it is portrayed in Genesis, compared with Eden in Ezekiel. In Genesis God planted the garden, in Ezekiel the garden is portrayed as mineral in nature and called, "the garden of God". I was just curious about how people viewed this garden, if it was the same place in both accounts and why anyone believes what they believe about it. Ezekiel 28:12-17 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lo…

We will be traveling to Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina this summer. We are going to be arriving in Atlanta GA on Wednesday July 6, 2022 and we would love to visit a good church of like faith that has Wednesday services. I tried to search online for IFB KJV only churches in Atlanta, GA and came up with over 100 matches! Yikes! Really?! If there are more than 10 in the entire state of Oregon (truly a mission field) I would be shocked. Any recommendations? In His will. By His power. For His glory! 2bLikeJesus
