My birth father lives just outside of Corydon, Indiana. This story occured in his area. It was first sent to me by one of my nieces in Corydon the day this incident happened. Many had been praying for this young man's return. It's sad how it turned out. My wife and I were just in the Corydon, Indiana area to see my birth father on July 17th of this year. It's such a small town, and the people are friendly...sort of a "Mayberry" from the Andy Griffith Show of old. Please, keep this young man's father in prayer, and pray that this story will also bring to the forefront of my nieces and nephews minds, as well as my birth fathers, that death could happen any time. It's import…

Everything is now environment friendly or organic these days . These vehicles will soon end up in the junk yards. Those dead battery's too. Is this really environment friendly. Why do America always gets to be the Country that puts all the cash upfront. While other Countries just watch or puts 10 percent or less. Biden said, that we were going to give Billions for climate control, Yahooooo ? I do feel very said for the future of our children.

With all the new social distancing and hand cleaning, I believe this is a good option for having the Lord's super. First the bread then the wine, grape juice, all in one. Have you tried it, and do you like it?

I am of Irish heritage on both my mother's side and my birth father's sides of the family....of course, there are other things mixed in...Spanish, Morroccan, Italian, American Indian and so on....I used to hear my grandfather say this short phrase often when I was a child....and I heard it several years ago on Celtic Thunder's presentation on PBS.... I know what it means having learned SOME of the Irish....but do any of you know what it means without looking it up? A Thiarna, déan trócaire A Chríost, déan trócaire A Thiarna, déan trócaire

A friend and I were discussing this . She attends a different church a Brethen Assembly. They are very conservative, close to IFB in practice and standards, at least her assembly is. Well they have this woman that attends every once in awhile. She dresses , well like the world, the bible would call it a harlot. Anyway, she is unsaved as of yet. She wears what my friend says is "cleavage first" and a short skirt. I asked has anyone said anything to her? She said, no we just warmly welcome her. Well I thought that was really great. But the truth is Im not so sure what my church would do. We rarely have visiters that dont belong to another church. Im …

So, I looked for a forum listing for posting pondering on Bible reading, and didn't really see anything, so I guess I'll put it here. Due to lockdowns we missed quite a few Sunday School lessons and I've been working through them on my own. I would be interested in your thoughts on my thoughts, lol. Reading Exodus 16:2-15 The first thing I noticed is that they are in the wilderness. Typically when someone is in the wilderness there is some trial, testing and preparation taking place. Jesus went into the wilderness after his baptism before beginning his ministry (Luke 4:1-21) In verse 4 the Lord says, "that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law …

For our 35th, Randy and I took a trip around the WA 101 Loop (which goes in a circle/loop around the Peninsula, as well as all the way down to CA...we only did the loop). I thought I'd share a few photos. First, the pie - we stopped at the Blackberry Cafe for lunch. It's almost an hour from our house, but hubs wanted to try it out. The food was ok, and the pie was tasty. Randy had Himalayan Blackberry and I had Marionberry/Strawberry. We both had swirled blackberry/vanilla ice cream. Second photo is of some trees in the Hoh Rainforest. I love trees, and I took a slew of pictures. But these branches fascinate me - I like the moss. The 3 bears were enjoying tea as…

Greetings, all, If someone asked you: Why should you become a Christian? What would you reply in answer so that you make sure they become a Christian? i look forward to your kind replies. By the way, keep in mind that the person asking you this might be an atheist, a wealthy person, someone who doesn't need to worry about worldly matter, or quite the opposite, a poor chap, someone alone and abandoned, in prison! Thank you so much for your kind time and care and precious time. It means a lot to me. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless your hearts, Totoo

Dear All, Greetings, thanks and bless you. We are Christians here, whatever we say, whatever we do, whatsoever comes out of us, others watching us will judge Christianity, not us! i consider myself a Christian and an international citizen, a citizen of the world. The whole world belong to Christ and i am a tiny part of that world, not Persian, nor nothing else, i strongly believe Christians should all be citizens of the world, first and foremost, although due to social circumstances we need to follow the rules and regulations of the place we live in. i also wish we would stop sharing non-Christian posts here, i wish the moderators and administrato…

Let's post them for some good old fashion Baptist fun. Gap theory, is actually a proper interpretation of scripture and I lean towards it.

I've had the domain DYPF.com for over ten years. I grabbed it because it was available (four letter dot coms are rarely available) and it was the letters I put at the top of my notes when I write a novel. (Stands for "Did Your Pray First?"). So last year I went ahed and got the domain DidYouPrayFirst.org and created a blog. I'm reposting articles on prayer. I made it so each post has an automatic shortened URL using the DYPF.com domain, which redirects to the long domain and the specific post. I also have a form for people to submit articles or links to articles to be considered for inclusion. There's a wordpress plugin I found for managing prayer requests, but …

Greetings, all, Thank you for your kind attention and care and precious time. Why do you think Jesus Christ asks us whether we would like to be made whole? It may be simply because we are not looking at Him and our attention is on other things, such as the movement of the water upon the pool! To make myself more clear, if you want, when the Lord asks the man with infirmity lying there beside the pool, which was supposed to heal the sick when it was troubled, He asked him not waiting for a reply, not seeking an answer, but He wanted the poor chap to look up at Him and be saved. We, likewise, need to keep our attention and sight at Jesus, if we want…

Greetings, all, Thanks for your time and attention. i have often had this conflict within me and at times given up hope for spending time praying thinking that since God knows all, past, present and future, what's the point in praying! So i gave it up! Till recently that i came to the understanding that praying doesn't necessarily mean asking God to do this or that for us, as if He were someone to take our orders, God forbid, or to give us this or that. Prayers are times spent with the Lord to create an intimate relationship between us and the Lord, if not more than that. i suppose it's an opportunity we give ourselves to talk with the Lord a…

DAMNABLE HERESIES INVADING THE CHURCH By Marsha West May 29, 2010 NewsWithViews.com A large number of Christians are unaware that literally truck loads of counterfeit Christians have gained access to pulpits, wormed their way into Church leadership, Christian organizations and are deeply entrenched in the so-called Christian entertainment industry. Call them what you will--false teachers/prophets, liberals/progressives, cultists, misinformed, misled, even looney tunes--the one thing they all have in common is that they have strayed from the truth. Unbiblical teaching has been going on since the early church took root. Peter cautioned that “there were false prop…

Couldn't see where else to put this, so put it here... ? I do love this text from Philippians, ch. 4, v. 8: 'Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.'

Why Did God Seem to Taunt Satan, Even Dare Him to Attack Job? (THEORY FOR DISCUSSION)

Okay, so again I repeat, this is only a theory, really more of a fun hypothesis, and certainly not doctrine. Just curious about what anyone thinks. Job is, supposedly, the oldest written book of scripture-I have never understood how they know that, but we can go with it. It is often attributed to the time of the patriarchs, but I have seen differences in timing for hundreds of years, so who really knows? Anyways, I have, for years had a thought rolling around in my mostly empty head, and wanted to share it here, (assuming I haven't already). What if Job existed around the same time period as Abram/Abraham, and God purposely taunted Satan to attack Job, not once…

To start I made up this topic, but I imagine it does happen out there. How would your church deal with such situation. Member male to friendly with the preachers wife, too close for comfort. They call me the pot-stirrer here but believe me, we all can learn something here without offending each other. Also this can be a reminder to not only watch and protect your pastor, but also his lovely wife. Any Comments...

Greetings, all, Thank you for your kind attention and time and care. Just like Bartimaeus (Mark: 10: 46 - 52) who was a blind beggar and sought Jesus to have mercy on him, i was blind and begged Jesus to have mercy on me and make me whole through my faith. Unfortunately we might think we can see, while we are truly blind. The blind symbolism is time and again used in the Good Book, none of them, in my humble opinion, refer to the blindness of the sight necessarily, but to the blindness of the soul. Another instance is Paul himself when he got saved, he was blinded for three days before he was fully restored. i just want to say, watch out and …

Greetings, all, Thank you for your kind care and time, There are times when i doubt whether watching, seeing, reading, listening, eating, drinking and doing something is alright for me as a Christian. Well, if i stop to think, i'll soon find out that whatever is for God and is holy, should be fine. If i feel bad about doing something, then i just shouldn't do it. If i feel guilty about something, i should repent and turn from it and abandon it. If there is something that shows unkindness to others, naturally it goes against Christianity, as we believe one must love others as one loves themself. To post a topic here to attract attention …
